This is the third year we have stayed at Coastal Escape. There are eight of us and we just love the accomodations-plenty of living and eating space and enough beds for each of us to have our own. The house is equipped with everything you could ask for-even has two coffee pots so we can have decaf and regular set up in the morning. Close to a great variety of restaurants and we get significant discounts on premier golf courses. We plan to return next year and highly recommend this property.

Coastal Escape was absolutely a beautiful home-away-from home! The home was even larger than it looked in the photos! It had everything and anything that anyone needed. Thank you Kathleen and Alan for providing so many things for the kids...we needed nothing from our homes except clothing and food! We partook in many of the great Bayside community activities and also visited the beach (Fenwick State Park) and the boardwalk in OC. Thank you for offering your "home".

Our family looked forward to this vacation for a long time. With 8 adults and 6 children between 4 months and 7 years, we found your home comfortable with lots of room for everyone. We even managed to get everyone seated around the table. The 6 and 7 year olds loved the Wii. With the scooters we brought and the ones in the garage, the kids were up and down the sidewalk a lot. The adults worked puzzles, watched sports, talked and played a lot of Scattagory. Our family loved thye two pools, the carousel and playground. The beach was a quick drive and we brought several of the chairs, toys and umbrellas from the garage. I definitely would recommend your home to anyone.

My wife and I along with our family had a great vacation this past July at Coastal Escape. We had 8 adults and 4 kids enjoy the spacious house as well as all of the amenities at Bayside, including great golf!! Bayside was great for the grandchildren while the beach was just a short drive away. While we normally stayed at the house and cooked ourselves we did enjoy several of the local restaurants a close distance to Bayside. We would recommend using Coastal Escape for a great family getaway!

This was the perfect house for our family vacation! With 12 people ranging in age from 4 to 72 there was room for everyone to have dinner together, play games, the sunroom table was perfect for doing a jigzaw puzzle, and also big enough for everyone to get away if they needed some peace and quiet. The younger children loved their room with a bunk bed and a TV. The teenagers loved the WII. We all enjoyed the house. The kitchen is much larger than you expect from the pictures and equipped with everything you could want. We cooked most of our meals at the house and the only thing we couldn't find was an ice cream scoop and I expect that will appear some time soon. We enjoyed both pools in Bayside and the the kids and their parents enjoyed the playground and carousel. With the Harris Teeters so close last minute items for dinner or any meal were easy to get. We went to the beach on several days at Fenwick State Park and the chairs and beach toys in the garage came in very handy. We had a wonderful week!!
Owner response:Thanks for the review Donna, and the heads up that the ice cream scoop went AWOL. Yes, your letting me know does mean that one will be coming in this weekend when we make our rounds to be everything is up to snuff. We love having wonderful families like you as our guests.

Spent a week in late June making memories at this wonderful home with our 2 sons and daughter in law and 2 grandkids, ages 16 months and 4 years. The amenities suited these ages perfectly...with plenty to do and a most comfortable house to lounge. Meals were a breeze in a wonderful and fully stocked kitchen. We swam, kayaked, attended an outdoor concert, had meals at the clubhouse, did model radio controlled boat at the lake. Our grandson loved the carousel and the playground. Would highly recommend !!

Four couples spent two days in this beautiful home....the owners have truly spent time making sure that your stay will be comfortable and relaxing. Kathleen was very easy to work with...efficient, pleasant, and quick with follow-up as our booking was done on short notice. We were very pleased with everything. The golf at Bayside was great!

We just returned from a week at this house with our extended family. The house is gorgeous ----just like the photos! There was plenty of space for the eight of us ( six adults and two kids) to be comfortable and to have some privacy. This house could have accommodated more people with no difficulty. As advertised, the home is very well equipped. We cooked in the house for most of our meals and found that every utensil/pot/pan we needed was available, in good condition and of good quality. The location is good. Having the Harris Teeter supermarket so near is a plus! We did not use the beach shuttle, but rather opted to purchase a parking pass for the week for $60 at the local town hall. This gave us the ability to come and go as we wanted. The ocean was a lot rougher than we expected (when we were there Aug 2010) so you need to really watch young children. Our kids (middle school age) loved the high waves and turbulent surf. The pools were nice and the carousel was fun--even for the adults! We did also enjoy dinner out and especially liked the Fenwick Crab House (mostly their cream of crab soup which we carried out) at the corner of Rte. 54 and 1. We also liked Catch 54 which is on Rte. 54. We really enjoyed a kayak trip at Assateague Island through a company called Super Fun Eco Tours --- excellent experience. We would definitely recommend this home to any friends who might be planning a trip to the area.

We rented this property because of its size and location. We have vacationed in the area before. We gathered our children and grandchildren to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. It worked out well. The grandkids (ages 3-15) all found something to do. We biked everyday, played golf, went to the beach, and were regulars at both pools. The home provided adaquate amenities and was comfortable in the extremely hot weather we experienced. There was plenty to do in the area although the weekend traffic to the beach was a killer. Moral: go early. However, the convienient shopping and on-site amenities mean that you do not have to go anywhere if you don"t want to. Summed up we are glad we rented Coastal Escape and would be happy to return another time.

This year my 4 siblings and our families decided to have a family reunion at the Delaware beaches. We had families from Maryland, Delaware, Ohio, Nevada, and California. All 11 attending were well pleased and quite complimentary of the Coastal Escape home. We were very comfortable in the well appointed home with enough bedrooms and bathrooms to serve all. It was wonderful that towels and linens were provided instead of bringing them from our homes. The home provided us with just the right balance of community space for all to gather, and private space far from the crowd. Every convenience was thought of that was necessary to making a home complete including a large number of gadgets in the kitchen to a vast selection of board games and dvd's. We enjoyed the beaches, bike rides to the Point, and the pool, tennis, and activities complex. The convenience to the Harris Teeter grocery store was also a plus. Your Welcome booklet was invaluable in orienting us to the property and the community. We greatly enjoyed the visit. Thank you for making this available.

We had stayed at bear Trap Dunes previously and knew that this stay at Bayside which is also owned by the Youngs would be equally sensational. everything you would ever want in terms of comfort has been thought of and more---incredible attention to detail. I plan to stay at one of these two places in the near future.

We had a wonderful vacation in this home, Coastal Escape. It was very spacious and beautiful. Everything that you could think of was provided. There was enough room for everyone to conjugate but also have privacy. There was a very nice grill that we used on Memorial Day to celebrate the beginning of summer. Our family truly enjoyed ourselves and participated in the recreational activities available. There was fishing, bike riding, walking to the Point, swimming at the pool and going to the beach. The Outlets are about a 20-30 min ride and Ocean City, MD is only 15 minutes away. There was always something to do and the kids had a very memorable trip. The development is very kid friendly and the kids were very safe riding their bikes or exploring. Thanks so much for allowing us to use your home and create more memories.

The community is amazing- carousel, pool, playground! My son and son-in-law loved playing golf on the Wii! Thank you Kathleen and Alan!

We have stayed at your Avalon home for two summers now (a week each time) and are looking forward to our third. It is truly a home away from home with far more to keep us comfortable and busy. Thanks Kathleen and Alan. Your hospitality is outstanding! The Tacca-Monroe family

Your home is beautiful and has everything in it that anyone could possibly want or need. The room off the living room where people could talk or play games and not disrupt the ones watching TV was just perfect. We appreciate that you supply all of the bed and bath linens. The new WII system was loved by all. We would definately stay here again.

What a wonderful week we had! The house is beautiful and spacious. Everyone enjoyed the time spent at the house and took advantage of the pool, the kids splash zone and tennis courts. We also played the gorgeous golf course. The service was first class all the way. Thank you very much Kathleen and Alan, we really appreciated our vacation at your house. Sylvain, family and friends.
