No stairs to climb to get in and out of the house. Located in the third row of properties back from the beach, this home has been in our family for over 25 years and we want you to share in the experiences it has to offer.
Located in Avalon, a neighborhood of both permanent resident and rental homes at about the six and a half milepost, the Salty Rose is only a few hundred feet from easy access to the beach and fronts on a neighborhood street. A ground level deck in the back yard adjacent to the driveway offers an open outdoor area and makes a great place to relax outdoors while planning your next activity.
A private outdoor shower offers hot and cold water for that after swimming rinse and a short walk or drive can bring you to shopping, a movie at the theatre, dinner at one of several nearby restaurants, or just fire up the grill and make that perfect steak that only you know how to cook. However you decide to spend your time at the Salty Rose, it is sure to be memorable and a welcome break from your normal life's routines.

It was another great time at the Salty Rose. Upgrades to the yard were very nice when walking to the beach. House was once again very clean and had everything you would need to a week long stay. Very nice positioning to local restaurants and stores. Unfortunately still needs to get WiFi. If the opportunity arises again, we will defiantly consider the Salty Rose for another year!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Very nice little home. The pictures do not do the justice it deserves. Made great use of the family room and there is an extra mini-fridge in the area where the dinner table is at. Great location to the beach and shopping/restaurants. The only negative is there is no in house Wifi which is a big downer. Overall I am very satisfied and will probably try to stay here again. The owners family is friendly and let us check in as soon as they were done cleaning it. Did I say this was the cleanest house I stayed in? That's what most vacationers need to know. Ask for more pictures, homed 3 couples very nicely.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We were very pleased with our stay @ The Salty Rose. It was a quick walk across the street to beach. Also, many places within walking distance to eat and drink, Jolly Roger was a close local place with karaoke. We loved having an outdoor shower, it came in handy with only 1 shower inside. Owner was very helpful when we called with questions and quick return of deposit as well.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, tourists without a car, families with young children.

My family purcahsed this home many years ago as a getaway vacation home and I have continued to maintain it as I have lost most of the original family to the ravages of time. My family continues to enjoy it when we can. Renting it allows us to share its charm with others while ofsetting the high costs of ownership and maintenance.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
One thing that makes it very comfortable is the ground level. It really reduces the fatigue and dangers that constantly climbing stairs can present on a vacation.
The house is centrally located in a very popular section of KDH beach and is very close to sources of supplies, resturants & entertainment and is a short walk to the water.
