Year Purchased: 1977
Born and raised in the Copper Country, now retired and live near Seattle, Wa. Michigan Tech Alumni, son currently attending Michigan Tech. I also own the cabin across the street that is rented full time to a Michigan Tech professor.
Why the Owner Chose Houghton
I purchased my parents lake house from my siblings and remodeled it for personal and occasional rental.

My family has vacationed in the Houghton area over the last (4) years and this was the best place we have found thus far. The place was just as described and complete with everything you need. The kids enjoyed the yard and beach area and the boat dock was perfect for my 19 ft Ranger. The deck was great for outside dining and the view is outstanding. We caught several small mouth bass and some large pike in the immediate area. Owner was very accommodating. Highly recommend this spot for your vacation.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We stayed at this unit in October 2009, it is a very nice place, very roomy, nicely decorated, very comfortable for a family (and friends). The owners are very accomodating and pleasant to work with.
