Stayed in this home in June 2009. It is clean, modern, and beautiful. It has everything you will need for the perfect vacation. From kitchenware to views, this house has it all. The kids enjoyed the kayak that could be taken out of the back fence, and placed into the lake, steps from the gate. Bird and turtle watching at the lake were also favorite past times. The only draw back for this property, is that it is a bit of a hike to get to the beach, which led to grumbling from the small kids. Other than that, you can see the ocean from the property. I would rent here again.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children.

Devon & Mike, Just want to drop a short note to thank you for the early arrival....we actually got there Sat 4/4 @ noon so the ability to get in the house at that time was great. We had a good week with temps reaching into the 70s on 3 days and weather cooperating most of the week. We were able to be in shorts all week. The only issue we had was with the TV remotes in the great room, computer room and ground floor game room none of which seemed to work - seems they were not matched to the "code" for the TVs - but they seemed to have fresh batteries. The remotes in the bedrooms worked OK. Obviously it was not that big of a deal - more of an annoyance to get up and switch channels etc felt no need to call you about it but someone else might.... You have a really nice house, well appointed and clean. Pool was clean but way too cold, hot tub was great and we took turns beating each other on the putting green and pool table. We had a great time. Thanks

We just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our vacation. Thanks so much for making it possible for us to go. The weather was wonderful all but a little rain on Tuesday and Friday evening. The kids made much use of the pool, hot tub, and golf. They also took the kayak out quite often on the lake. Thanks again.

We recently stayed at the Sea Chalet in Corolla, NC and immediately fell in love with this amazing home! We could not have asked for nicer, more comfortable accommodations for our weeklong vacation to the Outer Banks. The 6-bedroom house was immaculate and could not have been more than a couple years old. Boasting a pool, a spa, a putting green, a pool table, a barbeque, an office, internet, and a 4th-story loft accessed by a dramatic spiral staircase, the house was truly impressive and offered lots of activities to keep busy. Huge vaulted ceilings and oversized windows made the living area extremely bright. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed for cooking, as well as a large kitchen table – perfect for big family groups. With a tasteful décor and comfortable furniture and beds, we immediately felt at home. One thing to keep in mind is that linens are not provided. The location of the house could not have been better. Only feet from a beautiful lake and a 5-minute walk from the beach, the views from the second and third-floor decks are incredible. There is also a trail around the lake for running, and tennis courts and a community pool are a short walk from the house. Two grocery stores are conveniently located about a mile away. The owners were also extremely friendly and accessible, and went out of their way to make sure everything was in order for our trip. On the first night, they even called to see that we had made it to the house without any problems. Overall, I would not hesitate for a minute in recommending this home to a friend. The experience was so positive that I’m sure we’ll stay at this property again in the future. If you’re looking for the perfect vacation house in the Outer Banks, you will have no regrets with the Sea Chalet! -MC
