The condo was exactly as advertised. We were very impressed & appreciative of how well-equipped the unit was...just a few examples...beach chairs, berach towels & cooler were a HUGE convenience to have, great frig w filtered water & ice maker, blender, coffee filters, paper towel, enough spices to get started, lots of clean bedding & bath towels, nice tv w dvd player & lots of channels...which was great to have after a long day playing in the sun, a safe for valuables, the ceiling fans were so great that we never even thought about using AC, the unit is in great shape and very well-maintained, location is great, you can walk to anywhere in Kihei (bring walking shoes), etc. We did our shopping at Costco & Safeway, just like at home, so we ate in a lot & felt comfortable & right at home in the condo. Being so well-equipped allowed us to do what we came to Maui to do...play in the sun. We played all day & had a great place to come home to. Only wish you had a 2 bedroom, so we could bring more family/friends w us next time.

We do have friends that travel together but prefer their own rooms so one rents C407 and one rents C414. We of course were happy to hear that you enjoyed the condo!

We had an amazing time at the condo which is beautifully decorated with a renovated kitchen and bathroom. The suite was well stocked with everything needed. Amazingly close to beach and within walking distance to restaurants, grocery stores, ABC stores, and most importantly Starbucks. The views off the balcony especially sunsets were awesome. The owners were available and answered any questions I had very quicly. So appreciated! Highly recommend!

We were very pleased with the results and glad that you were also. It makes such a difference to remove the upper bank of kitchen cabinets and put in the granite island as it opens everything up so nicely. I understand the importance of having a Starbucks close by as my husband and I lived in Seattle before retiring and moving to Maui last year. Before our move to our house, one of our favorite things about the condo was sitting on the balcony having our coffee in the morning and listening to the birds and also sunsets in the afternoons. Absolutely beautiful property and the condo was perfect. Fully equipped, clean and cozy. Close to the beach and many shops & restaurants. We would defiantely stay again on our next trip to Maui.

We look forward to our annual Maui visit all year long. It is so nice to just walk in the door and feel like we are home. Your condo is well stocked and has everything we need to start our vacation. The location is perfect - an easy walk to the beach, restaurants, shops. Thank you for your hospitality and all the local info you share with us.

Lovely Condo

Once again we spent a wonderful five weeks in this beautiful condo and it feels like coming home as we have stayed in it for the past three years. The upgrades were really nice and very attractively done. We really enjoyed the new bistro set on the lanai and spent many hours out there just enjoying the view and the birds singing. This condo is so very well equipped and everything one would need was available for our use. We finally got to meet the owners and as always they were very helpful in meeting our every need. The condo is very clean and so conveniently located to everything. The beach across the road is one of the best on the island. This year was just wonderful as the ocean was perfect and we did not have one red flag out. Thanks again for sharing this beautiful condo with us and look forward to coming back next year.

This condo is in excellent up to date condition. There are numerous restaurants with a short walk, and food store as well, with the beach even closer. It's far enough from the road to be rather quiet. It is also well located for visiting all the other attractions on Maui. Enjoy!

We have recently returned from our stay here and had a fantastic holiday. While this was our first trip to Maui, I have booked vacations at a number of cabins, condos, B&B's, and boats over the years and found Linda to be a great resource of information. It can sometimes be difficult to get timely responses from people when you are booking a location that you don't have any previous experiences with and are trying to gets questions answered before you arrive. Not so in this case. Linda always replied quickly, cheerfully, and efficiently to my many inquiries which made our preparation and arrival a breeze. The condo is not only closely situated to some great beaches with Kameole II beach being about a 5 minute walk from our/their door, but also to many handy amenities. The condo is clean, homey, and well stocked as noted in the description. I can be nit-picky and comment on the lack of a kettle for my morning tea, but I managed fine with the microwave. The pictures on this site may not accurately reflect the rental's appearance only because the rental seems to be constantly improved. I highly recommend this site. Mahalo, Linda!

It was just perfect

We would like to express our satisfaction towards the condo that we have rented from July 25th to August 1st 2011. The amenities were very clean, spacious and very comfortable. The room, equipped with a king size bed (which was a revelation for us!) and a ceiling fan, was well ventilated - no need for the A/C. Also, it was very convenient to benefit from all the necessary accessories for a perfect day at the beach (beach chairs, beach umbrella, boogie boards, icebox, snorking equipment and all the required equipment to build a sand castle!). We were pleased to notice that the kitchen was fully equipped with all the required equipement on site to bake and prepare meals that we couldn't afford in expansive restaurants. The location of the Kihei Akahi complex, on the south west side of the island, was within 10 minutes drive of the most beautiful beaches of the island (Big Beach and Wailea Beach). The proximity of two major supermarkets made it easy for us to plan each and every meal for the the time that we spend in Maui. It was very simple to make all the arrangments with you. All questions and emails were answered very quickly. We would like to express our gratitude to you and your husband to have allowed us to share the dream of being in paradise. Lovely Condo

We have just arrived home after spending five wonderful weeks in this great, well equipped condo. This was our second year staying in this condo and we enjoyed everything about it. The property is very clean and well maintained. Our favorite restaurant close by is 808 Bistro. Waking up to the birds singing and having your morning coffee on the lanai and looking at the ocean and seeing the whales is always a highlight of our day. Linda and Ralph are great owners to deal with and looked after our every need. Thanks for sharing you lovely condo with us and we look forward to next year.

Sorry it took so long to leave a review for our stay almost a year ago. As the Seattle weather changes I find myself thinking back to the beautiful days we spent at your condo enjoying the amazing location and all the very nice little extras you included. In addition to the comfortable, clean, lovely environment you provided, some of the things we really appreciated about the experience included walking across the street to snorkel, running out to the little health food grocery a half a block away to cook our meals in your thoughfully equipped kitchen, borrowing the boogie boards that were made available, the nice view, small conveniences such as a few garbage bags and dish soap in the unit, and these are just some details that made our stay so smooth. All we had to do was have fun...and we did! Thank you so much!

Rental that's just right!

The owner whom we communicated with to rent the unit is "just right" also. In our case she bent over backwards to arrange things for us. I asked if there was a second t.v. in the king- sized bed guest room and before I knew it she offered to buy one and it was there for our enjoyment in our lazing periods. The unit has a truly nice balcony/veranda. It's not big so you could only have 2 people there comfortably to eat or stare out through the flowering trees on the property and ocean in the distance.(The inside dining table seats 4 easily.)The point is,however, that there IS a view both toward the water and the hills/mts.(Often people advertise a view and the renters are not happy with the tiny,tiny slice of ocean to be seen by standing on a chair and holding on to the curtain rod.You know what I mean.) The furnishings are Hawaii-like and pleasant. There is a small washer and dryer in a closeted area which is great to have right in the condo as opposed to having access to one several floors up or down or in another building. There is a bathtub with a shower. I thought I would have a bath while on vacation and yet I didn't take time to do that. There are so many things to do and see on Maui and the location in Kihei (at Kihei Akahi--4th floor)was great for us. It's pretty near to a main access road that hooks up with the road that can take you anywhere on the island. We went a lot--Hana,Lahaina, Kahului(for Costco,K-Mart and the fresh veggie/fruit stands next to Costco) and always felt happy to be returning "home". Our "Maui addiction" continues and I am happy to say we are planning to return this coming Fall to Maui and to this condo because it was such a pleasant experience. They do have many"playthings"(portable chairs,picnic things,etc.) in the closet so check out the closet before you buy something you think you might need! Did I mention that you can literally walk across the street to the beach? The "single bad feature" belonged to the building and NOT the unit. "Naughty" people must still smoke in the hallways and we could smell the smoke sometimes on the first floor and/or elevator. Ninety-eight percent or more was great. There is a "space" next to the bldg. for you to park and if that is not close enough to drop off groceries there is an "unloading" space next to the first floor elevator. You'll be lucky if the owners have a time for you!

Amazing Trip

My Dad and I were able to stay in your condo last October (18-25, '10). It was the best vacation I have ever had. I love the location...right by the Kamoale Beaches. It was nice that the condo included chairs, boogie boards, and other essentials to take down to the beach. The place was bright and clean with everything we could have ever needed in the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. It was nice to have the free wi-fi service. I felt like I was in a home away from home. I would highly recommend this to any friend or family member!! (nice granite counters in the kitchen too)

My husband and I chose this condo as our second honeymoon spot. I’m glad we did. The owners did everything to accommodate us. I must have asked the owner a hundred questions and she had all the answers- they are knowledgeable of the location. Their love for the island flows over in to their condo. The condo was very clean, and had EVERYTHING we needed (kitchen supplies, games, books, movies, beach stuff). We really felt at home for the week we were there. The location was the best. Very centralized. The beach was right across the street; and it was never crowded. There was also no need to try and find parking. However, if bigger waves are what you’re after the larger public beaches were just a short ( under 10 minutes) drive away. Shopping and restaurants are within walking distance, this includes many food choices (we liked Moose’s for Breakfast- the owners even had the two-for one breakfast coupon books in the room for us). Nightlife is nearby at Moose’s when the sun goes down- for those that want something after the sunsets. Ice cream is also very close and so is a great little health food store (we got some picnic stuff there or last minute groceries to bring back to condo). Many nights we used one of the many free BBQ’s at the condos- by one of the two pools. The pools were always refreshing- and never overcrowded! The condo security was pleasant and were around more to help then to protect- I never felt unsafe in the area- very nice part of town. One night they even helped me carry extra BBQ stuff back up to our room so I only had to make one trip! Overall we had a great time. So much to do and see the last thing we wanted to worry about was where we stayed. This condo is accommodating and in a good location- allowing you to enjoy your vacation and focus on just relaxing! Thank you for the enjoyed stay- we will be back for another week soon!

Hi Linda! We had (are having) a wonderful time! We've done so many things...snorkelling (saw Sea Turrtles!!!), Boogie Boarding (went to the beach off of Makarta? Road--mentioned it in Maui Revealed, which you recommended), had D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S meals where ever we went. Took a few tours, one with Pacific Whale Foundation and the other with Cruiser Phils to go up the volcano...I loved that--we cycled down...well I cycled most of the way down--got back on the van for the hairpin turns. We went to Mama's Fish House for our 30th anniversary...they gave me a floral lay (not sure how to spell that). Absolutely delicous food and service there. Thanks so much for recommending it! We also ate at Alexanders, Freds, the Moose Pub and at Pita Paradise to mention a few. Oh yes, last night we had dinner at the Flatbread Pizza Place in Paia (know that's spelled wrong), and that was fantastic too. The people here are fantastic...so darn friendly! I took a two hour traditional Hawaiian quilt course at the Maui Quilt Shop---sooo much fun, and met the nicest ladies in the course. We also found another quilt shop in a mall--I love our GPS! I bought the loveliest fabric to make myself a quilt out of Batiks. This morning we got up and snorkelled again and plan on going out to BB one more time. We're sad about leaving this gorgeous place--everything, starting with your lovely condo, was picture perfect. We truly hope to come back sooner than later! We have stayed in this Condo twice now and absolutely loved it. Very nice and clean, well equipped kitchen, we don't eat out much as both my husband and I love to cook so finding everything we needed to cook with was very appreciated. Maui and the VRBO website was recommended to us by some friends, we were a bit apprehensive about renting through the web but we couldn't have picked a more helpful and very nice owner, Linda has been very accommodating in everything not only in things to do with the unit but with suggestions on things to do around Maui, car rental, etc. The condo is centrally located and a beautiful beach is right across the street where you also meet many interesting people who are eager to share their experiences, of course you can also drive to other beaches and explore the whole island. Linda also owns another unit in the same building, last year my mother and sister-in-law stayed there for part of the time my husband and I were in the other unit and they also loved it. This last May we went back for 6 weeks, when we booked Linda asked us if we had any family that was interested in coming at the same time as us as she was going to make sure the other unit was available, this was so thoughtful of her, as it turned out our daughter and son-in-law rented it for 2 weeks and we all had a great time and were spoiled by this owner's care and attentiveness. We dealt with another owner last year for our daughter and son-in-law but what a diference after dealing wit hLinda we expected pretty much the same ammenities and were asking several questions at which time she got impatient and told us we would be better off dealing with her management company. As I said we didn't eat out much but we loved the Flat Bread Pizza in Paia, excellent crust and all organic toppings. As another guest mentioned the only negative was some iinconsiderate people who come in late at night and talk loudly in the hallways, with the windows open and the bedrooms right by the hallways makes for a rude awakening. Hopefully people will be reminded when they check-in to be more considerate although there are signs in the hallways reminding them of quiet hours. We are very much looking forward to going back God willing. Maui is such a relaxing and lovely place, nice people. no road rage, easy to get around. You will see several bumper stickers tht read "Relax this isn't the mainland" so true. Thanks Linda, looking forward to meeting you once you've moved to Maui.
