Chickadee Cottage- Our smallest, but most popular cottage is clean, efficient, well-maintained and furnished in nautical style for rent by nights, weeks or months. Best for a couple or 2 singles.
Bedroom has a Queen size bed, shelf/closet unit along 1 wall, shaker pegs and bureau for more storage. Main room has a single bed/daytime couch, chair, TV, VCR, DVD on 1 side. The other side is a kitchen with white cabinets, basic cookware and utensils, fridge, electric stove, dining table with chairs. Bathroom has shower but no tub.
Small deck with table and chairs outside door. Adirondack chairs on shady lawn. Parking for cars in front, indoor bike or stroller storage in garden shed.
Cottage is cleaned and beds made for every rental, pillows and blankets provided. However, no maid service, so renters should bring their own towels. (If inconvenient, towels can be supplied on arrival $10 per person additional)
Walk, bike or drive 1/2 mile to Vineyard Haven Main Street for shopping, restaurants, supermarket, banks, harbor, ferry terminal, island sightseeing tour buses, old-fashioned cinema, well-known 'Black Dog' general store, 'Bunch of Grapes' bookstore. Convenient to visit all other island towns and the many clean public beaches on the Vineyard.
Flexible weeks can begin and end on any day. Smoking is OK but outdoors ONLY.
Easy location to find on well-known bus and bike route. Public bus service runs in front on house. 1, 3, 5-day passes can be bought for inexpensive travel all over the island.

However, if coming from a distance, flying in, or if you just forget, we know this can be inconvenient. We can supply towels when you arrive for $10 extra per person.
