My husband and I, along two small children had the great pleasure of staying at the home on Soudan Avenue. We spoke with Caroline upon arrival and she was a wealth of information and assistance. The home was perfect for my family, and even had a high chair and baby gate. We were steps to wonderful shops, grocery stores, cafes, parks, and the list goes on. We couldn't have picked a better place, and we look forward to our next trip back to Toronto,

Our family contacted Caroline when we discovered that we needed to be in Toronto on very short notice to attend my grandmother's funeral. Within a couple of days we were able to make arrangements. We found her home to be impeccably clean and ready for our arrival. We are a family of 5 with and were very comfortable in her home. The wireless access was most helpful with all of the arrangements that we needed to make. The location is outstanding with walks to everything - coffee shops, grocery stores, shops to simpy browse in as well as an amazing selection of restaurants. We enjoyed our walks even in the winter weather. We recommend staying at Caroline's in all seasons and on all occasions.

We have just returned to the UK after a trip to Toronto. We had a great stay at Caroline's house in Soudan Avenue. Our party consisted of an 84 yr old, myself and my husband and our teenage children. Everyone was comfortable. In particular, having wifi and a huge basement meant my children were never bored. They had laptops with them and were able to keep in touch with friends etc. The house is exceptionally well equipped, all utensils and appliances you could want. It is also very well placed with shops just on the doorstep and great transport links to downtown. The house is well insulated and very quiet. Communications were all very prompt and efficient. We spoke to Caroline on the day we arrived and she provided us with lots of local info and was always available if we needed help or information. My relatives in Toronto were very impressed with the area the house was in, it obviously is a well regarded neighbourhood. We definitely recommend the house and will return again.

Just back from 2 weeks in Toronto, stayed at this house and had a great holiday with very comfortable accommodation.House has all you need form washing machine+dryer to hair shampoo and toilet paper! We were very lucky with the weather in October so used the air-con and the heating when it was a bit cooler, both very easy to use. We are a family of 5 with kids aged 17,15 and 11 so plenty of space for all of us.We used public transport predominantly,so the sub-way was a 10 minute walk from the house then you have access all over the city. The area the house is in is very safe, houses mostly but with a small supermarket 2 minutes away on Mount Pleasant Ave,quite a few shops in the vicinity,we didn't explore as much of local area as we should have . My Canadian friends all commented on the area as being recognised a nice area to live,we quite often walked back from subway late at night and never felt our safety was compromised at all, especially when with two teenage girls. So I would definately highly recommend this holiday home. All communication with the owner was prompt and precise.

We stayed in this house for 11days with our extended family, 8 adults in all for our son,s wedding. the house is tastefully decorated. We especially loved the closeness of the shops. Even though some of the bedrooms were on the small side, we managed well. The living area is nice and roomy with a lovely big table which we had many a gathering. the outdoor area at the back of the house is great for relaxing in the sun. we recommend this house and would stay here again on another trip to Toronto.

We rented this house to attend our daughter’s wedding and decided to combine a family vacation with the special event. The house has perfect and immaculately clean. There were 6 of us and there was plenty of room for everyone. The location was perfect. By day two we were transit pros taking a short bus ride to the subway station and heading downtown on a regular basis for shopping, theatre, rehearsal dinner etc. The neighborhood was perfect. We were able to get our hair done, manis & pedis all within a 5 min walk. The bakeries were amazing and the grocery store is literally just around the corner. The home is well equipped for making all meals and the dishwasher made clean up quick and easy. With our daughter making Toronto her home we hope to have the opportunity to rent this home again. I highly recommend it!

We were new to Toronto and looked to Caroline and her expertise to guide us in our stay. She was very honest and knowledgeable and all that she promised and said was true. It made our stay that much more enjoyable. The house is great.. we had 4 adults and 4 children and were very comfortable. The neighborhood is eclectic and it was all that we had hoped for.

This accommodation is located in a fantastic part of Toronto. The facilities were excellent just to the standard that you would have at home. We will definately use it next time we go to Toronto as we could not fault it at all. I would recommend this house to anyone intending to visit Toronto. Caroline was a fantastic home owner who was always available if we needed anything. The booking process and the pre visit communication with Caroline was very professional and friendly. Thanks for everything.

My husband's family stayed for 2 weeks for our wedding here in Toronto. His parents, his son, brother and sister-in-law and their 3 month old baby came over from Scotland. The house was perfect for them, it was clean, comfortable and fully equipped. We made good use of the BBQ and spent many hours on the front porch in the shade. The location could not have been better, everyone quickly learned the subway system and explored Toronto on their own. The convenience of all the shops and restaurants within walking distance was fantastic. Homeway was a great breakfast spot and we all enjoyed fish and chips on our last night at the The Olde York. I expect they will all be back and want to stay in the house again soon! Thank you Caroline for everything! Mr. and Mrs. H

My wife,3 grown children, their wives and my 3 granchildren spent a wonderfull week in Toronto. We were there to witness the wedding of my 4th son and could not have asked for better accomodation the weather cooperated and we were most comfortable in the house. Everything is provided except food- it was superb. We certainly intend to use it again when we visit as a family. The convenience of having everything and I mean everything within walking distance made it even more pleasurable. From the supermarket, the dry cleaners, the hair/nail salon, the barber, the chinese restaurant, the pizza store, etc you were but a short walk to everything you needed. The pictures on the website do not begin to give justice to the property. It is clean, well maintained and totally modernized. Caroline and Mitch the owners were a pleasure to meet and made sure our every need was met. I have already been spreading the word and will continue to tell as many folks as I can of the incredible value that this property offers. It has both a front and a back garden with a gas BBQ and parking for 2 cars if needed. I will be sure to recommend it to anyone visiting Toronto with a family as it certainly makes your visit more pleasant. My wife and entire family share my views. 5 stars for sure!!!!

This is a great house to rent, a good part of town, very well presented and equipped and near the subway. We had a great holiday and the house managed to adapt to increasing numbers of people effortlessly. At 1st glance it does not seem enormous but 8 of us lived happily there! Dealing with the landlord was very easy, with full details being provided and contact if we needed it.

The house was just perfect. It lived up to expectation from the photographs and information provided and was spotlessly clean. Everything we could possibly need was provided and the owner went out of her way to ensure that we were comfortable. The house is in an ideal location, being only minutes from shops and only a short walk from the Metro. We would love to stay there again and highly recommend it.

The property was well maintained and reflected accurately in the posting. It was a great location to explore Toronto from. You can easily walk or take a bus to the Eglinton subway station. The Mt. Pleasant neighborhood is also very nice with many restaurants, shops and even two cute little movie theaters. Our family of two-college aged kids, a grandmother and an uncle and us (6 people) found the space very comfortable. Caroline gave us a lot of useful information. We parked our car in the spot out back and only used it to visit relatives who lived in the suburbs. Otherwise Toronto is so accessible by public transportation. Also very close is a Sobey's which is a nice supermarket. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.

This is a great house in a perfect location. We were visiting Toronto for a wedding and Caroline, the owner, was really helpful (one of our cases containing the wedding suits had been lost by the airline!). The house is spacious, light and airy, has plenty of outdoor seating and is so close to great shops that self catering was a delight. You can walk to the subway and it is a safe and quiet neighbourhood.Would certainly rent it again.

Our family really enjoyed staying at Caroline's apartment in Toronto. We just returned from 2 weeks of travel and stayed in 3 homes/apartments and we all agreed that our Toronto rental was our favorite. We also travelled to Niagra Falls, CA and South Haven, Michigan. The house in Toronto was nicely furnished and very comfortable. It was a quiet, peaceful neighborhood and we were able to sleep in and have plenty of space to spread out. We travelled with our two younger children, 13 and 16 years old and we all enjoyed having some space, while also enjoying spending most of our time in the very cozy sunroom playing games at night. The recycling of the trash in the house/city of Toronto was impressive and we were happy to participate in the recycling effort. Caroline was very prompt in her response to everything and the house was in perfect working order throughout our stay. Also, Caroline checked on us when we arrived to make sure all was in good order. The location was perfect for sightseeing and gettiing around Toronto. We visited some family who live in Toronto, also mostly did sightseeing in the downtown area and it was easy to drive around from our nice central location. There were great shops and restaurants close by which we finally enjoyed our last pm and am in Toronto. Thanks Caroline for providing a wonderful haven for our visit to Toronto. I would absolutely recommend this duplex to anyone travelling in the Toronto area and we would stay there again if we had a return visit. The Goldsteins, St. Louis, MO

We stayed in Caroline's Property in Soudan back in April 2007. As a family of 5 it was really important that we had large space to accommodate us all, we found the house to be wonderfully decorated, spotlessly clean and ideal for our purposes. Caroline, Once again our now family of 6 (kids aged 5.5, 3.5, 22 months and 3 months) thanks you for the accomodations during our Toronto Visit October 10-18, 2009. Aside from the cold that our youngest two had (a negative of the Toronto weather) we has a family had a wonderful time in your house. The house was centrally located to shops and the mass transportation. I was able to frequently use the TTC to get to the convention center without a problem. There was parking once again for our extended length SUV. We were very comfortable in the accomodations that you provided. We are looking forward to staying in the house on Soudan Ave the next time we are in town. Its like a home away from home. Being from out of country, we appreciated the ease and consideration and arrangements that you provided to facilitate our family's transition into the house. After sitting on airplanes for six hours, it was nice to be back in familiar surroundings in Toronto and at the home on Soudan Ave. Thank You, Holly

The five of us (2 kids, 9 months old and a 3.5 year old, 3 adults) stayed at Caroline's house for a week at the end of August. We had a great experience. The house had everything we needed (bedding, linens, kitchen and laundry supplies). Each of the kids had their own room, just like home, which made for a far less stressful trip than anticipated. The baby loved the Pack 'n Play crib and the toddler enjoyed the comfy (and low) Murphy bed. The parents enjoyed having their own room as well and loved the availability of a full kitchen and washer/dryer. It felt "just like home". The house was not too big, not too small. The location was wonderful. Plenty of local restaurants and shops to visit. Several supermarkets nearby. The stay was very cost-efficient as well. For the same price as a single hotel room (maybe a junior suite), we had the freedom and convenience of a whole house. This was our first time renting a vacation home in a major city. We'll definitely do it again. Caroline was also wonderful. She checked in on us several times even though she wasn't in town and made sure we had everything we needed. Thanks, Caroline.

Our family of four (two adults, a 3 year old and a 5 year old) stayed at Soudan for a week in September/09. It is a wonderful house - very spacious, beautifully furnished and immaculately kept. We so appreciated all the family-friendly details that were provided - plastic dishes, safety gates, a children's table and chairs downstairs to do art - that made our stay so much easier. The location is very convenient and we enjoyed bringing back meals and pastries from the local shops/restaurants for our meals. Caroline was very helpful and had all the necessary information clearly laid out for our stay. We would definitely stay at the house again on future visits to Toronto. Thanks again, Caroline!

My family and I spent a wonderful eighteen days, in August 2009, at 274 Soudan Avenue. We were four adults and two small children and the property was even better than we hoped! The location in Midtown was ideal with easy access to all locations in and out of the City. The district is lovely, the neighbours friendly and the City centre just minutes away on the subway. The house is beautifully maintained and well appointed and there was ample room for the six of us; there was plenty of space to park a six seater MPV at the rear. Caroline was always very helpful and thoughtful and our stay was delightful in every respect. We shall certainly use 274 Soudan Avenue again on our next trip and I can unreservedly recommend it to others. Derwyn, Cardiff, Wales.

We spent our Spring Break this past April in Toronto. The house is in a great location--close to shops, restaurants and grocery/drug stores that are all just steps away. The house is well-stocked and extremely comfortable with more than enough space for our family of 2 adults/2 children (5 & 15 mos). Great backyard, which our eldest enjoyed on snowy days. This will be our home-away-from-home whenever we are in Toronto. I highly recommend this property and Caroline makes the entire process a breeze!

Our family, including four generations, just spent a very enjoyable 5-day stay at your wonderful Toronto property. You truly anticipated all our needs, and we felt right at home. The location was fantastic: a short walk to the subway, and only steps to a supermarket and great local shops and restaurants on Mount Pleasant Ave. Highlights included taking in a movie at the nearby Mount Pleasant Theatre, and fish and chips at Penrose. Our only regret was that the January snow kept us from sitting out on the patio in the backyard! Thanks so much for providing the perfect venue for a memorable family visit. Renting your house for the week (or most of it) was the best way to go. It couldn't have worked better! We had plenty of room. There are many places for privacy, even with 8 of us sleeping there. And the location is perfect too -- restaurants and coffee shops are a very short walk away, as is Sobeys and a collection of unique shops (e.g., the Flaky Tart, whose strawberry rhubarb pie was delicious, and the Culinarium, which features only foods from Ontario). And the subway gave us ready access to Bloor St., downtown and elsewhere.

My husband and I(from Nova Scotia)decided to meet up halfway in Toronto with our daughter, son in law and year old grandson(from Calgary)for five days and stayed in the property on Soudan Ave. This absolutely the only way to go for extended stays or for those people with young children to consider or more importantly for travelers who truly want to feel like part of the community. The owner checked with us during our stay to make sure we were comfortable and not in need of anything. The home was clean and well stocked. The area is great. You can walk up the street to the local coffee shop and sit for an hour with a paper. The sub-way is less than 15 minutes up Eglington and you can be in downtown Toronto in approximately 15 minutes from the Station. Our sincere thanks to the owner, Caroline. It is obvious considerable thought and effort has been taken to make this a "home away from home". We felt safe, secure, well cared and appreciated during our stay. THANK YOU!

We had a lot of running around to do so the key code for the side door was very convienient. Nobody was responbible for the key at any time. I wouldn't hesitate to go back again. JAime

In addition to being a wonderful family home, there was more than enough room for all of us to stay and relax together in our evenings. We were very impressed with the quality and comfort of the accomodation. The property is beautiful, and well equipped. We were at want for nothing! All amenities were provided and the owners were easy to reach and extremely helpful. This was, by far, a far better choice than a hotel! We will surely look forward to staying again during our next visit to Toronto!

The location was perfect, being only steps away from great restaurants, grocery store and public transport. When we make our way back to Toronto again we will definitely be hoping that this house is available!! Many thanks again.

We are truly fortunate to have the use of this beautiful and very well kept house for the week we were in Toronto. There were nine of us and the owners were so conscientious in taking care that we enjoyed our winter visit (including shoveling snow). If we ever go back to Toronto this house and this neighborhood will be the place to return to. Thank you so very much to Carolina and her family.

My family and I had the pleasure of staying at the house on Soudan for ten days. We had a wonderful time. The neighborhood is perfect. Halloween was one of our best yet! I would highly recommend staying there. Beautiful house, lovely nieghborhood and the owners are great!

I stayed at this beautiful vacation rental for 5 days in October 2007 with my husband, 1 year old daughter, brother and sister. It far exceeded our expectations. Not only was it centrally located with several convenient and unique shops, but the house had everything we ever needed and more! We were worried that my daughter would have a hard time sleeping in an unfamiliar place but this place provided a crib which ended being a life saver! If we go to Toronto again, we will definitely stay at this place! It was like being in our own home. A good alternative to a hotel.

This lovely house is as comfortable and well-equipped as the photos show. Situated on a quiet, leafy avenue, within two minutes' walk there is the bustle of a neighbourhood shopping street, with useful supermarket, drug stores, take-out pizzas and friendly bars and restaurants. It was very pleasant to stay for a week among the local people, rather than a centrally-located tourist hotel. The location was a ten minute walk from the Eglington Subway into Downtown Toronto and a short easy drive to the freeway for out-of -town day trips. We were a party of two parents and four "kids", aged 16 to 22 and everyone enjoyed it. We would definitely stay again if we came to Toronto.

A really well positioned and lovely house with very good facilities. Only 2 or 3 minutes walk to local bars, shops and subway/bus routes is only a few mnutes further on. Parking available for the rental car. Overall an excellent holiday.

Nicely located situation for city trips. Davisville has a small town feel. Caroline made sure that we had everything we needed. Facilities good, clean, comfortable. WiFi very useful.Provisions stores within walking distance (supermarket 5 mins), cafes and ice cream bars nearby. Most highly recommended. We would certainly arrange Soudan Ave if in Toronto again.

Our stay lasted two weeks, during which we made the most of the central location of the house. Tennis courts, restaurants, metro, are all within easy reach. The house was clean, comfortable, our host most accommodating. Everything necessary for a trouble-free holiday is here. We'd definitely come back! Thanks very much, Caroline.
