I recenting stayed at Stellarview with a few other couples and we had the most wonderful time! The weather in New York this spring was crazy, so we got to experience all four seasons in four days. When we arrived it was in the high 70's and when we left 40 degrees and rain. So, we got enjoy all the amenities of the home and everyone had plenty of space to do their own thing. I highly recommend Stellarview for all types of "group" or "family" vacations. We can't wait to go back to LP and Stellarview! Linda was very responsive and easy to work with! A few updates were recommended and did not affect our stay at all. It was simply....wonderful! Thank you!

This is our second time at Stellarview and we enjoyed it every bit as much as the first. Great meals cooked in the gourmet kitchen, good time with friends around the cozy fireplace and relaxing after a day of snowshoeing or cross country skiing in the hot tub are just a few of the things we enjoyed about the property. We'll be back for sure!

This is the best place to stay! The house is great, you have room for everybody.The living room is very cosy, with the fire place and the sitting area near the windows. You feel at home right away when you arrived in the house. You can feel that the owners love their place.

Magical does not begin to describe the moments of joy we have experienced in this home. From the views, the beauty of the home, all the modern conveniences, and the sheer warmth of this environment, we have been awed at every turn. The location and layout of this residence make it a stand-out in the crowd. No need to drive once you arrive...just down one of the big hills to the Starbucks and several breakfast lunch/dinner spots. Super quiet residential area with awesome views Thank you for sharing this lovely home with us!!!

Dear Linda, Once again, Stellarview lived up to it's name! It's "stellar" location also is perfect for hiking, a walk around Mirror Lake or a trip into town! The home has every modern convenience a gal (or 12 gals that we were) could want...gourmet kitchen, hot tub, beautiful decor and is incredibly spacious. Although is is located so closely to where the action is, it does offer incredible privacy as well. We Jersey girls will be back next year for sure! We enjoyed the house very much. The renter is very nice and they have done a great job in offering a clean and well appointed home. Very close to downtown, lovely view, private, very comfortable beds and the kitchen has everything you need. The unanimous feeling with our group was there could be a better sound system and TV for sure! While the TV was not that important to our group, it would have been nice to have something a little more modern to watch a movie in the evening. The sound system was actually very finicky. I was especially disappointed with the BBQ. I cooked two of meals on the BBQ and almost had to call the fire department. The BBQ is absolutely terrible. Almost ruined some expensive steaks. You need to clean those things occasionally but I would strongly suggest getting a new one.

This house was everything and more then we expected for our big group. There were 12 adults and we never felt like we were on top of each other because of the layout if this house. The furniture and kitchen were wonderful and having the porch and hot tub was great too! I would recommend this house to any big group, you will not be disappointed! Thanks for some great memories!

My husband and I were looking forward to getting back to Lake Placid where we met. We were fairly picky about our location and what we wanted to find. This house was perfect. We had 6 adults and 7 children (ranging from 2 months to 10 years old) and everyone loved it. We were all able to be comfortable in our own rooms and have privacy when we wanted it. The family room, dining table, and kitchen are fantastic. The kids ate outside and we ate inside and there was room for all. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub as well. The location was great for getting down to Main Street and gives you access to everything. I agree with a prior reviewer - only disappointment is that the house isn't for sale. We were all in agreement that it would be a great house to buy. Hope to come back in future years!

Perfect for the Lake Placid Half or Full Marathon

Our running group stayed this weekend for the half marathon. The house was perfectly located so we all could walk down the hill, pick up our registration packets and line up for the race! We also had no problem accesing the restraunts. The place was clean, well kept and GORGEOUS. Great balcony and the hot tub was ready upon entry to the house. No complaints from our group as it slept all 11 of us comfortably. House would also be perfect for multi family stays as well. If you are looking to have a launch pad to see the town and relax without driving you once will be hard pressed to beat this great place. We are already talking about renting the same house next year!!

There is nothing about this home that is low end!!!! The house is immaculate! The decor is stellar! The furniture and bedding is top of the line! There is a gourmet kitchen with top of the line appliances, pots, utensils and knives. I was blown away by all the windows and natural light. There are decks on every floor that brings the outdoors into the house. With all this highlight of the house all the granite counter tops and the tile work. We have rented several vacation homes in the past but nothing compares to this house!!! This is the place to stay in Lake Place. Only a short walk from main street, yet secluded in a private wood lot. The loved the serenade from the local Churches carillon ?. Our only regret was the place wasn’t for sale, we would have bought it in a heartbeat!!!!!!

We had a great time at Stellarview. We comfortably fit 8 adults and 4 young kids - the house has a great layout. It is also impeccably kept. This was our second year renting, and we definitely plan on coming back.

Beautiful house, very cozy and comfortable. Every bedroom has an ensuite bathroom which is amazing and very comfortable sleeping accomodations. Hot tub is a blast too! Great location and easy to get to town as well as Whiteface.

The home was a welcoming site upon arrival - stunning views, private road, and attractive high-end construction. The ski trip included five adults and five kids. One couple with the daughter slept in the MB with the loft -perfect for them. We took one spare bedroom/private bathroom, the other single man took the downstairs bathroom/adjoining bathroom and the five boys were thrilled with the entire downstairs bunk room, and tv for their games. I am a Gourmet cook and was delighted to spend the days cooking while they went skiing. Linda even left her Price Chopper savings card for my daily trips to the market..! The Winter snow covered views outside the surrounding huge windows were a beautiful contrast to warmth of the post and beam wood inside. In the evening with the fireplace lit and the designer lighting fixtures on dim settings - this was the only place in Placid to be - we didn't need to go out..! They would come in from skiing - hit the hot tub with cocktails - then head upstairs for dining and relaxing. I am thrilled that we will be returning this summer as I am anxious to see the property without the snow. Beautiful place, very clean, perfect floor plan for families and cooks.

I recently rented the property for a weekend with my family. The house is beautiful. It is nicer than the photos depict. It was cozy yet spacious enough for seven adults, clean and well maintained, and at a great location. You can't go wrong with this property. We will be back.

Incredible Adirondack lodging

If you're looking for the ultimate Adirondack experience in the utmost luxury, this is absolutely the only place to look. Secluded yet 1 1/2 minutes to walk to the middle of downtown. Every detail has been addressed, from 4 bathrooms to hot tub to an incredible kitchen. Please, you really owe it to yourself to endulge and get it right the first time. The listing description and photos for Stellarview were perfectly accurate on VRBO. The house is beautiful and very cozy, we especially enjoyed the indoor fireplace. The property was spotless and very well maintained. The owner was extremely helpful with quick responses to any questions and seemingly bent over backwards to make our stay enjoyable. We have recommended this location to family and friends. Lake Placid is such a lovely town with so much to do. Our family was there the weekend after Thanksgiving and we got a bit of snow which was perfect for putting us into the holiday spirit.

Hi Linda, Stellarview is glorious!!! What an amazing home! I can already tell you that I will be coming back the same weekend next year. We enjoyed hiking Marcy (which I've done a bunch of times before) but the muddy and wet leaves made it quite a challenge. Thanks so much...you were also right about the foliage...spectacular. Stellarview rocks!

We greatly enjoyed our vacation at Stellarview. The house is spacious and lovely. It's about a 15 minute walk to the main street with restaurants and shops, yet the house itself is very private. The outdoor decks (there are several of them) are lovely places to gather for morning coffee, or just to get away for quiet reading. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place for our family gathering.

Owner response:Two bedrooms have private decks,one with a hanging chair, the other with some views toward Mirror Lake. The main level deck has room for outdoor dining as well as a seating area with the most comfortable Adirondack chairs EVER ! The kitchen deck allows the grillmaster to work under roof in any conditions, in any season.

My wife and I decided on a family vacation, which included our two daughters, their spouses, and 6 grandchildren, ranging in age from 5 to 16. Stellarview was perfect for us. The homes 3 levels provided plenty of space for all. The den and large deck facing Whiteface were great for all to hang out on. The home's decor is excellent and all the cabinets, fixtures, appliances are first class. The owner was very professional in handling the rental process and provided all pertinant information prior to our arrival. My wife and I would highly recommend this unit for a family vacation.

We just returned from a long weekend at Stellarview and it exceeded our expectations! The overall design works especially well for the "younger crowd" which had the entire lower level to use while we enjoyed the serenity of the top 2 floors. The kitchen is very well equipped and the furnishings are both tasteful and comfortable. You can't beat the location. Park your car and walk to the restaurants. We will definately return!

Your home is like no other. It is our favorite vacation spot. To be able to rent your designer home is truly a privilege. What a treat to enjoy your deck and fabulous gardens in the summer. I'm so glad we tried it for more than our ski getaway. We love its privacy and how it is tucked away, yet just a few minutes walk from the downtown shops and restaurants. What a beautiful home! The pictures and descriptions cannot do this property justice. It had all the views and privacy of staying in a treehouse while being only a five minute walk from Main Street! The space, layout and design of this home are fantastic. This is certainly a place I would recommend to anyone/group looking to get the most out of their time in Lake Placid. We loved staying here. It had everything our group needed and it was great to come back to such a cozy house after skiing. Lake Placid is our go to every year and we haven't stayed in a nice place than Stellarview!

We LOVE the Stellarview! My family and I stayed at the Stellarview this past June for a family reunion, and it exceeded our high expectations. The whole house looked very new, but still very homey. We especially loved the gourmet kitchen and the spacious living room and dining room. We had some relatives staying next door, and when they visited the Stellarview, they knew that this would be the next place they would be staying. What a beautiful place to enjoy our anniversary.The view of Whiteface mountain is just magnificent!Your home was elegant and comfortable at the same time. What a great stay! There were 12 of us here to celebrate a 50th birthday (mine). We all hiked Mt. Marcy and 8 of us made it to the top! Our weekend was full of laughs, aches, and many happy memories. We had women from Maryland, California and different spots within New York. It was a great reunion and chance to bond new friendships. Your place is beautiful and worked perfectly for all of us.
