"We think we have found the best vacation home in New Buffalo". This is a comment from a former guest that speaks for itself! Many of our guests return because it feels like their home away from home. The house is fully stocked with everything from paper towels to laundry soap. With 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and an open floor plan in the main living area, there is plenty of room to make yourself at home. The large screen porch is a highlight. It is a great place to spend time from morning until night, especially with the large bird feeder providing non-stop action to watch. Many people love dining on the porch where they are completely protected from famous Michigan mosquitoes.
The backyard is large and private. The huge deck is another place you can experience the outdoors. Sunbathing is quite popular here. While sitting on the patio furniture it is fun to enjoy the large butterfly garden, which is in bloom spring, summer, and fall. A variety of butterflies and fascinating hummingbirds can be observed. Because we are located near wooded areas, you may be able to see deer, wild turkeys, and woodchucks!
Both bedrooms upstairs have vaulted ceilings with plenty of closet space. All rooms have ceiling fans for your comfort. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom has a full size bed. The third bedroom has French doors that look out onto the deck. The full size futon allows this room to be used for sleeping and as an extra family room. The living room has a queen size futon that can also be converted for sleeping. 8 people can sleep here comfortably. All bed linens and towels are provided for you.
After a long day at the beach you can eat in or simply walk to Redamak's or Ozzies. We also have a Weber grill if it is a cookout you have in mind. If you choose to kick back and watch cable television, you will enjoy it on our 32" flat screen digital t.v.
New Buffalo's beach is less than a mile away. There you can swim, walk the dunes and enjoy beautiful sunsets. Lifeguards are on duty and there is a play area for children near the concession stand.
Plenty of shopping is available including antiquing, outlet mall shopping, and shopping the specialty stores of quaint downtown New Buffalo.
We have board games, puzzles and books to provide family fun. If you have children, they will like it that we are just a short walk from the basketball courts, skateboard park, and playground. If it is biking that you enjoy, there are many country roads to explore. We are avid cyclists and we can provide a variety of Harbor Country routes of varying distances from our house. We do have a guest information guide that tells of all there is to do in the area. The summer weekly rentals fill up quickly, so please make your reservation early.

We are about one mile from the beach. There is parking, a concession stand, and life guards.
Barneys Supermarket, Wally's Dollar Store, Pharmacy, and other miscellaneous shops.
In addition to renting kayaks and bikes, they sell swim apparel and boogie boards.
You can walk to both from our house. they are free to the public.
Delicious custard, coffee, and breakfast and lunch menu. Old fashion diner motif.
Play lot with swings,slides and other climbing equipment. You can literally walk right across the street. Ball diamonds and soccer field are there also. This is a day park and used rarely.
Artist Community. Great destination for a longer bike ride. There are many marked bike routes that begin here.
Great hiking here with easy trails. This park is special because the woods remain like they were hundreds of years ago. It is considered, "Forest Primeval".
In the summer they sell fresh produce that they've picked that day. They have a wide variety of animals for the children to look at. This is a working farm and is well worth the trip.
This is where you'll launch your kayak. The banks are low here so it is a great spot for fishing. Very Scenic.

My family and I and another family (cousins) stayed at this house for Labor Day. We LOVED the house. It was the perfect size. We LOVED the screened in porch. We also were amazed at how close it was to everything. The four little kids we had with us LOVED that there was a park literally 30 feet away across the street. I would def. rent this house again!!!!

This was our second time at this property, once 2 years ago when rented by previous owner and then last week by new owner. This house and deck is outstanding!! There is so much room that it fits our entire family more than comfortably. The deck is a definite high point with all. Great place to play games & visit and still watch the kids. Ozzie's ice cream is a close walk and a family favorite. Should you visit during the summer, there is a weekend farmers market right up the road at Skip's restaurant that really should be a first stop before checking in. They have the absolute best fruits and veggies there. There is also a village owned park and water park about a mile away that is small and free to take the kids for a quick outing. We are all looking forward to visiting again next year. Virginia, good luck to you and your new venture, you own my favorite place to vacation!!
