Located in the stately Mahaai, one of the most beautiful and certainly the greenest district of Curaçao, a beautiful mansion has been converted into 2 very spacious apartments, with lots of privacy and a very high standard. Lots of trees, flowering oleanders, high palm trees and the gardens with lawns provide the tropical atmosphere you may miss in many other places. The two apartments have both 2 bedrooms with quiet split unit air conditioners with every luxury. Obviously there is a stereo system, flat screen TV and DVD player. In the spacious kitchen you have access to a 4-burner ceramic hob and a large tropical side-by-side refrigerator/freezer. The luxurious ‘colonial’ atmosphere is preserved through the dark hardwood floors and attractive shades. Outside you have access to a (covered) dining area and lounge set. In the lush tropical garden you find the large pool, with shaded seating areas, luxurious sunbeds and a lovely outdoor shower.
Interior: The interior is without doubt to be considered as of high quality. The attractive dark hardwood floors, warm and cosy colours, typical shutter windows and real regional wall art reflect the colonial atmosphere of the past. The present can be found in the luxurious furnishings, which provides you with all the comfort. There is a traditional coffee maker, but of course also a Senseo machine. You can cook, but there is also a microwave and for the dishes you may use a dishwasher. Besides the bed linen you are provided with washcloths, towels, bath towels and even beach towels. In the kitchen you can also find towels, dishcloths and tea towels. The bed linen is changed weekly, towels and kitchen cloths also in between. For the youth and children there are toys and there are children´s DVDs. Other necessities like a cot, highchair, changing mat and car seat are available for free if you indicate them on time.
Transport: Public transport on Curaçao is limited. Besides some scheduled lines, that connect the remote villages with Willemstad, there are taxi vans. These 9-person vans drive fixed routes, but not according to a fixed timetable. Having your own transport is almost a necessity. The land lady had several sharp prized young and well maintained cars available. If you rent a car beside the property, you are picked up from and returned to the airport for free.
Services: Your vacation should be unforgettable. Therefore the services are of paramount important at Tropical Apartment Curaçao. For any problem of question there is an answer and your landlord is always available for you. With a free available mobile phone, you can always reach her. This prevents you from expensive ‘roaming’ and you only pay the local call rate. To meet all your needs, the shopping is made, if you choose this option, without being charged for extra costs.

Apartment B has a lovely outdoor area in the garden, which only can be used of the guests of this apartment. In the apartment you find a living room with open kitchen. This open kitchen is modern and spacious. Because of the slightly lowered ceiling the kitchen looks very attractive. In the kitchen you find all modern equipment, like a dishwasher, ceramic cook top, microwave, oven, a side-by-side refrigerator/freezer and many small appliances such as a toaster, a kettle and a Senseo machine. In the spacious living room you will find a comfortable sitting area, ample closet space and various appliances, such as a large LCD TV with satellite (60 channels including NL 1, 2 and 3, BVN and many English channels), a DVD player and a stereo system. There is also free wireless internet access. The apartment has a nice bathroom (vanity, large hot water shower and toilet) and two spacious bedrooms with new beds (90 x 200).

The rental price is based on the use of 1 bedroom up to 2 persons. When using the second bedroom there is a surcharge of 15 Euros per night. Water consumption is included. Electricity consumption is included to a maximum of 15 KwH per day with 1 bedroom and 20 KwH with 2 bedrooms. This is more than enough for regular use, especially of the air conditioners. For any additional consumption the local KwH is charged. Not include in the price is the local tax on rental apartments, similar to tax. This is 7%. It is possible to book a late checkout (until 19:00): low season 60 Euros, mid-season 70 Euros and high season 80 Euros. For each booking a deposit of 500 Euros has to be paid. It is also possible to pay this in cash on arrival. Please contact the landlord for detailed rates of car rental (starting with 30 Euros per day).
