We have stayed several times in Jim and Marie's Cabin in Bozeman. For us the cabin was great, a mountain retreat in a spectacular part of the country, conveniently located to excellent hiking but also to town. And that gave us the opportunity to get to know Jim and Marie and to appreciate their wonderful, friendly, reliable and trustworthy natures.
Owner response:Thank you for taking the time to comment in our guestbook. We are having a great summer and expect a beautiful Fall. The creek is clear and lovely and we are having very ideal weather. I have a great new place, closeby, for affordable and amazing horse backing riding. Also, we can refer you to a wonderfu, nearbyl massage studio for professional massages for just $40 per hour! Bozeman has several new restaurants that you must try. Let us be your concierge next time that you visit. Please come back and visit again soon! We enjoy our new and repeat guests very much. Marie & Jim

The cabin is well stocked with dishes, cookware, linens, towels. Even the knives are sharp and great to use. The hot tub was wonderful after cross country skiing. There are trails just at the end of the road that you can ski to or drive to. A 1.5 hour drive takes you to Yellowstone which is amazing in the winter. Also Bozeman Creek has good trials. The owners are helpful and attentive to any needs that may arise. Everything is clean and just as described in the web site. It is a short drive into Bozeman for great places to eat. Soby's, the Western Cafe, Montana Ale House are really good places to eat. I would recommend this cabin to relatives and friends.
Owner response:Thank you so much for taking the time to post a review on our Bear Creek Log Cabin website. Thank you for referring your friends and relatives to our vacation rentals in Bozeman. We hope to attract couples, families and small groups that want to vacation together in our beautiful Bozeman area for special times and events, year after year. We welcome children and mannerly dogs. We are here to help our guests have the best time possible, so, let us know if you need ideas for things to do and see. We can recommend an excellent horsebackriding outfit closeby or fly fishing guides as well. We can give you referrals to wedding and special event planners also. Jim is an avid fly fisherman and will share with you the best places to fish and the best flies for the rivers and streams that you choose. Marie can tell you about the local cultural activities, and, special events and places to visit that are less traveled and unique to our area. Happy Trails & See you again soon! Jim & Marie

Great Family Holiday Weekend

We spent two great nights at the Bear Creek Log Cabin. It was a delightfully snowy weekend and the sledding and snowshoeing were great. The cabin is large but cozy and the perfect place to meet kids and grandkids for a pre-Christmas celebration. Only reason I did not give an excellent rating was that the TV was not working and some football games were missed. But...the family time without football was great!
Owner response:We are so happy that you enjoyed your time at Bear Creek Log Cabin. It was so lovely and snowy. It is rare, however, when we get heavy snowstorms, it can interfere with the satellite reception. We hope that you enjoyed the dvd's, but, it sounds like you had a better time without all that. We hope that you and your nice family return again soon. Thank you for taking the time to comment in our guest book. Your Hosts, Jim & Marie

We stayed for three nights near the end of september. After one night we were already planning next years trip here....for a longer stay. It's just as it looks as advertised. The cabin is homey and an awesome setting. Clean with everything you would have at home. Bozeman is close enough for shopping and there are so many things to do outdoors! Plenty of fishing and hiking. And everyone is so friendly. Just loved it! Thank you very much! We'll see you next year!
Owner response:Thank you so much for taking your valuable time to comment in our guestbook. We try very hard to make Bear Creek Log Cabin great for our guests. You make it all worthwhile! We DO hope to see you again next year! Happy Trails until we see you again! Marie & Jim P.S. We just switched to DirectTV, high definition. No more occasional 'lost signal' problems, and the picture is unbelievably clear. Amazing! We have more 'outdoor' channels also, now.

Jim & Marie, We recently stayed at your Bear Creek Log cabin. It was a wonderful place. We did all of our own cooking and your kitchen was equipped with all of the necessary items and even a few extras. The weather was filled with beautiful fall days and an occasional light snowfall. We saw deer on our lawn two times and many wild turjeys. Sitting in the hot tub was so relaxing. Your cabin is a perfect place to get away from busy days and just relax. It is set up with everything we needed. It was just an incredible place and we are hoping to be back again and stay longer next time! Thanks for all your hospitality!

Jim and Marie, What better way to say how much we loved our stay at Bear Creek cabin than to already have made reservations for next August!! The setting is peaceful and beautiful (the gardens add much to that), and the cabin made us feel right at home. It also accommodated our son and his wife and their two little girls very nicely for the several days they were with us. And with another son living in Bozeman, the proximity is a huge plus. The furnishings in the cabin are attractive and exceptionally comfortable, and the kitchen worked very well for "visiting while cooking". Even the wildlife cooperated in supplying an endless show, the deer family with two little ones, the wild turkeys, and an industrious woodpecker right outside the kitchen window, to name just a few. We loved every minute in this gorgeous setting and feel that you two have the perfect place for us to return to year after year. So, thank you, thank you, David and Bean Granger
Owner response:Blessings to you for taking the time to post in our online questbook. We are so pleased that you enjoyed the Cabin and the wildlife so much. We took a walk today ourselves & were saying how thankful we are to live here! We are so looking forward to having you back next summer! Marie & Jim

Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed your cabin! It was a great base for all of our travels around Montana, Wyoming and Idaho. It was cozy and had everything anyone could need for a vacation. The wildlife around the property was really a blessing. The fresh air, beautiful trees, flowers and wonderful breezes really made our vacation a relaxing experience. I highly recommend this property to anyone who likes a home like atmosphere for their precious time away! Blessings, Bill and Michelle Breedlove
Owner response:You are very kind to take the time to go online and enter your comments about the Cabin! Thank you. As you know, the coffee table guestbook is almost full of satisfied remarks. We appreciate guests who post online here for the folks considering the Cabin. We hope that you are able to come & stay with us again!
