Location: Paris Arrondissement 4, Paris, Ile-de-France (Paris Area), France, Europe (around the corner: Metro St. Paul & rue des Rosiers) View Map
Accommodations: Apartment, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath (Sleeps 2-4)
Located in the fourth arrondissement, the heart of the Marais, our one bedroom apartment offers guests a sophisticated blend of traditional Parisian and contemporary style. The apartment is just a couple of minutes away from the Metro station St. Paul, making it easily accessible for both travel to/from the airport as well as sites throughout the city. Should you prefer to walk, you are only blocks away from the Seine, the Louvre, Notre-Dame, and Centre Pompidou - not to mention all our neighborhood favorites such as the Place des Vosges, the Picasso and Carnavalet museums, a thriving Jewish neighborhood, and countless boutiques, restaurants, and bookstores.
On the third floor of a typical 17th century building, the apartment features an open layout where the traditional poutres (original ceiling beams) have been exposed and, along with the parquet floor, finished in a rich, chocolate brown. The whole apartment is suffused with natural light from large, south-facing windows. The completely renovated and redesigned apartment consists of a large living room, a fully equipped modern kitchen, a dining area, a separate bedroom, and a bathroom with rain shower. Carefully selected furnishings create a space that is aesthetically pleasing, comfortable and practical.
The sleek modern design of the open kitchen provides all amenities for the gourmet cook as well as space for extra storage. Among the amenities you will find a four burner stovetop, dishwasher, microwave/convection oven and refrigerator as well as coffee and espresso machines, an electric hot water kettle, and all the tools you need to prepare everything from simple breakfasts to gourmet dinners (there are wonderful food markets in the area). The dining table adjacent to the open kitchen accommodates four guests. The living room features the most comfortable pull-out queen-sized sofa which sleeps two adults, a variety of coffee tables, a leather armchair and a built-in bench which serves not only as an entertainment center but provides seating for guests and additional storage. Cable TV with major international channel selections and an Ipod as well as a phone with unlimited local and international service are provided. You will also find a well-stocked selection of books and maps about Paris and France, in addition to our very own "Le Guide" with tips for the neighborhood and beyond.
The bright and airy bedroom has a very comfortable queen size bed as well as closet space. In addition, a custom-built work area is equipped with a laptop computer giving you access to free high-speed Internet. Quality linens and towels are provided for your comfort. The newly renovated bathroom (2008)with direct access from both the living room and bedroom features a rain shower, stylish vanity surrounding as well as a washing machine/dryer. A hairdryer, iron, and ironing board are placed for your convenience. Adjustable heating in every room and a portable high-speed fan for the summer months let you create your own comfortable climate. Double-glazed windows keep the apartment as quiet as the countryside. Security locking doors and exterior access code entry ensure your safety.
So why stay in an overpriced, undersized hotel room when you can live like a Parisian in the center of one of the liveliest, historical neighborhoods in the entire city. We are confident you will have a memorable stay in our AbsoluteMarais apartment.

Luxurious Paris Rental Apartment in Marais
Year Purchased: 2004
Why the Owner Chose Paris Arrondissement 4
We love all of Paris - even the not very travelled parts - but the Marais was an obvious choice. It is central to all major attractions, has one of the liveliest street scenes in all of Paris, and the mix of traditional heritage, fashionable shops and stylish surroundings was unbeatable.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment
The best part of living in the Marais is the sense of being right in the center of things in Paris. We love food and culture - all of which is in abundance in the Marais. Major museums as well as smaller, less known ones, and regular cultural events keep us busy. We have seen some of the most memorable cultural happenings right in our neighborhood. As for food the markets in the area are superb and even the regular food shopping in the area is well above par. The excellent metro and bus connections allow us to explore other parts of the city without major issues. And then of course there is the architecture, the history, and the general feeling of being part of a still tight-knit neighborhood.
Owner's Map of Paris Arrondissement 4
I lived in Paris for a while and ever since the city has drawn me back. A few years ago we decided to make the city our second home since we spent so much time there. After spending too much time in crowded and expensive hotel rooms and a few stays in rental apartments we agreed that the best option would be to buy an apartment so that we could really feel at home in our favorite city.

My friends and I had a fabulous time. We loved everything about your apartment and have already recommended it to everyone that we know! The location, decor, size, and amenities are all fabulous. We called your incredibly detailed binder our "bible" and would consult it frequently. It led us to some great meals, terrific shops (my friends here are all enjoying gifts from Cacao et Chocolat), and simplified the city for us. We could not have had a better time!

The second time around proved even more special and interesting than the first. It was ausch a joy to open the door and find everything just as we remembered it. Took your advice on the jewelry and go two great pieces at Miravida. Also for anyone who likes their eyeglasses a bit special both Max and I indulged again in some amazing new frames from La Botique Alain Mikli, 1 rue des Rosiers, 5 minutes away an dreally worth a look. Also I must mention the joy I got from reading your – Paris to the Moon – it really brought some familiar places to light and showed us some new ones (apart from being a great read.) Off to get a taxi now – and the sun is just breaking through for the first time in a week. Good times to all who follow…
