2009 SPECIAL - STAY 6 NIGHTS AND GET THE 7TH NIGHT FREE! The spirit of aloha lives in our beautiful Kauaiian oceanview condominium and awaits your visit! Situated on the top floor, the view of the ocean is as delightful as the trade winds that greet you when you slide open the plantation shutters... our condominium is a corner unit providing you with maximum air flow, along with two ceiling fans. Our kitchen remodel in April 2007 added new cabinets and granite to give the unit a new feel.
We have decorated our condominium in "island style" to stay in tune with the tropical views all around you. Just sit on the lanai (relax on the two chaise lounge chairs or sit at the table) and enjoy the swaying palms and vibrant blue hues of the ocean. Listen carefully, and you will hear several Hawaiian birds along with the gentle ocean waves in the distance from our unit. Our condo is located in Building #40, Unit #413. We love its private location (one side of our building is by a county park) and the high celings afforded by being on the top floor...and because we have a corner unit, we have more louvered windows, so the tradewinds keep us cool and breezy.
One of the delights of staying at Kiahuna Plantation is its grounds, brimming with plumeria trees, bougainvillea, orchids, bridges, and lawns that meet the sea, dotted with grills for barbecuing while watching the sunset. The beach at Kiahuna is nestled up to world-famous Poipu Beach - acclaimed for its warm crystal-clear water, swimming, snorkeling, surfing, and boogie-boarding; just a short five-minute walk from our condominium. It is just the perfect spot to do anything - or absolutely nothing! It is no wonder that The Travel Channel recently voted Poipu Beach as the best beach in America.
Everything you need for a meal or a picnic is in the kitchen. Or, try the Plantation Gardens Restaurant (onsite) or have a Mai Tai at the oceanfront Honu Bar at the nearby Marriott. Across the street, you will have several choices at the Poipu Village Shopping Center ranging from elegant seafood dishes to gourmet island cheeseburgers.
We fell in love with Kiahuna when we honeymooned there over 20 years ago, and fell in love with it all over again when we started visiting with our young sons. Today, they are teenagers and love all the water-sports as well as going into Koloa Town and Lihue (whether they need to buy a tee-shirt or see a movie, it is all there).
If you are planning on visiting Kauai, you will not find a more perfect place to stay than our tropical Hawaiian condominium!

Why the Owner Chose Kiahuna Plantation
We honeymooned at the Kiahuna Plantation in the late 1980s and completely fell in love with Poipu and Kiahuna. The grounds of the Kiahuna are filled with green lawns with beautiful trees and tropical flowers. There is a sweet scent of plumeria in the air. The ocean is a brilliant blue color with a water temperature of 74% to 80% depending on the time of the year. We love to swim, snorkle, surf and boogieboard - all of which are available at the Kiahuna beach. Days and nights are very comfortable in Poipu - we especially love to sit out on the lanai in the evening and look at the stars. Every time we go to Poipu and Kiahuna, we simply can't believe the beauty of what we are seeing.
The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
Our unit number #413 was a great find because it's on the top floor with a nice ocean view. It's the best ocean view in our building. As a corner unit, we have side windows which are great for lighting and ventilation. As a top floor unit, we have nice cathedral ceilings. Adding to our privacy, to the east of our unit, there is an open space area maintained by the County of Kauai. The walk to the beach is only four or five minutes. The pool and tennis courts are even closer. We enjoy several great resturants within walking distance including Keoki's Paradise, Plantation Gardens and Roys.

Alan & Anne are happily married in San Diego. We have two boys; one in college and one in high school. As a CPA and financial planner, Alan keeps busy with many great clients. Anne works as an administrator with a service company in San Diego. We love our kids & friends, we love life and we try to live it to the fullest each day.
