BUILDING POSITIVES: Facility was great; attractive design; location was terrific--to the west of (and a short drive from) the main busy tourist attractions and swimming beaches, as well as right across from the ocean; access was easy, but secure; parking was more than adequate--had extra spaces for visitors; very quiet. Complete and detailed access instructions received via e-mail a week prior to arrival made initial entry hassle-free. BUILDING NEGATIVES: Most of the lights in the in-building parking (including entire sections) were not working, so a flashlight was really needed at night (and I wouldn't let my family members go there without me after dark). APARTMENT POSITIVES: Good size for our five-person group; nice footprint; separate master suite with second bathroom was convenient; many complaints in previous reviews had been rectified; very quiet--only noise was the surf when the windows were open; easy check-out procedure. APARTMENT NEGATIVES: High surfaces were dirty (top shelf in kitchen; top of refridgerator); no broom/dustpan; no iron; no dish soap, dishwasher soap, or paper towels (would be nice to have a starting supply--hopefully what we left behind will remain in the apartment for the next renters); one bath towel per person was inadequate (because of humidity, they didn't dry from day to day and there were none for use at the swimming pool); a few light bulbs were burned-out; would have been nice to have the many light and fan switches in the large main room labeled; did not get a parking card on check-in as stated in the instructions--used the keypad code to enter each time--not a problem (unless we get charged for it still being missing when we checked-out). OVERALL IMPRESSION: Very positive. If we come to Galveston again, we would want to stay there again (especially since they are going to give us a nice discount for writing this review, right?).

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed here for a girls weekend,it was nice but futon couches were VERY, VERY, VERY uncomfortable, I had even asked owner about them and she did not tell me they were THAT bad!! DO NOT PLAN ON ANYONE SLEEPING ON THE FUTONS!!! We also had NO face cloths!! Maintenance man Jerry was very nice and helpful!! Awesome view!!! Other than futons we will loved the place :)

Nice place but TV didn't work... Not enough towels

Recommended for: Girls getaway

Owner response: Due to the big storm last week in the ocean area, most of the cables were out of service. I tried to work with the guests and sent on site maintenance worker to check, still didn't work. Comcast did urgent repairs in the area and went to my unit to reset the cable on 3/5, the date guests left. I apologized to the guests and refunded them $50 because of the cable problems.

Great for the Price

I was a little worried about the cleanliness of the condo after reading the bad reviews. I was expecting the worse, however when we arrived everything was clean. The only thing that needed to be done was a really good sweep of the floor. There is a broom in the kitchen but they do not provide a dust pan so that you can sweep yourself. The condo could use a new paint job but overall it was great. Contacting the site manager was very difficult. He/She was real easy to get a hold of when it came to booking the condo but when I later had questions, my emails and my phone calls were NEVER returned.

Condo needs maintenance

The condo was clean & nice looking. However, linens were supposed to be supplied but we had only one face cloth for 4people for 5 days. And only one dish towel & dish cloth for 5 days. Sheets had holes in them. Towel bar in master bath fell from wall when the towel was removed. Ironing board was found on closet but no iron was ever found. The television and remotes were not good at all. The furniture was extremely uncomfortable. We had a good time only because we left the condo during the day & went site seeing. It wasn't horrible but I wouldn't stay there again. Do some maintenance on the place & buy plenty of new linens!

Our condo was clean comfortable and priced right ! I would recommend to anyone to stay at this property on the seawall... but i would say to improve on uor visit TV's in the bed rooms would be nice... and more comfortable couches in the living room.. Overall our stay was awesome..

Beautiful condo. Spacious and comfortable Right on the beach. Had everything that we needed. No formal check in or check out made it extra convenient.

Good place to stay for the price

We were concerned about the property after reading a few negative reviews but we found the condo clean and comfortable. (Except for the tan futon-the owner told us she plans to replace it soon) The pool area is wonderful especially if you have small children. The parking is good and we had no problems with anything at all. The only real drawback is there are no laundry facilities.

Nice place, but had a bad experience on arrival

This is a nice clean building and the apartment could be great, however lack of on site or local management is a problem. Upon check in the apartment was not cleaned from the party before. There were dirty towels on bathroom floors, beds were not made, dirty dishes in the sink, stains on comforters, dirty floors, just a huge mess from previous visitors. When calling the owner (in Austin) I got a voice mail, not very reassuring, but I did get a call back 15 minutes later. The owner has arranged for cleaning service and they showed up about one hour later. It was a bit of a hassle to have six family members not being able to unpack and use the place and then to head out for two hours while cleaning was taking place. We also did not have clean comforters or blankets until noon the next day, just sheets for cover. Additionally, the living room TV had issues, initially with the cable provider and not the owners fault, but we later discovered mechanical issues as well and also missing batteries in remote controls. On the positive note, the owner did arrange for delivery of a new 42" flat screen TV, which I assembled and hooked up and we were refunded fees for one night's stay. Also of note is lack of on site laundry facilities, however the rental agreement lists them as present. This place could be great, but it needs local management and support.

I'll start with the positive - the location, the view, and the amenities were great. However at check in the unit had not been cleaned and the TV never worked properly. The unit could also use some fresh paint as many of the walls were pretty "scuffed" up.

Our stay was immediately put on hold upon arrival to a uncleaned condo. After a couple of calls to the owner and property manager we did see a cleaning crew arrive. Once they cleaned we still had to go to walmart to get new blankets as the ones they left still had DNA samples from the previous guests rompuus activties if you know what I mean. (GROSS). We placed third call to the property manager which was never returned. As you have read in other reviews, maintenance on this particular condo could be better; loose towel bars, chipped wall paint and tv's that work poorly if at all. I did actually touch up some of the walls for them with paint I found in the water heater closet. That being said, location is good, pool and fitness center were nice and the building felt quite secure, If the owner of this condo would take a small amount of time to fix the problems with maintenance and assure the next guest that ALL the linens would be freshly washed for each new guest they would get more return guests.

A very disappointing experience!

Galveston is a wonderful place to visit, but we were very disappointed in the condo we had chosen! We had such high expectations of the condo, since we had viewed all the pictures and it looks sooo nice, but when we walked into the door, our expectations were certainly not meet. The pictures do not represent the condition of the condo or the furniture that is in it! There are no pretty couches, but two very uncomfortable, cheap futons. The wall has big chips and scratches on it from guest putting the futon down to sleep on. There are no pretty chairs at the table and bar, but cheap little wood stools. The bedrooms needed painted badly. The brown comforter in the second bedroom had some bad, white stains on it that the housekeepers should have seen and washed. The mattress in that bedroom is worn out and you roll to the center of the bed. There is no water pressure in the front bathroom shower. You can't even get the soap off. The towel racks are broken again and there were not enough towels for 4 persons for a 3 night stay. The volume on the television only works occasionally, if you can even get the television to work at all! I did call the property manager and left a message. The owner called me back and responded that she would tell the maintenance man about the towel racks and that it was the condo's fault that there was no water pressure. We both agreed, that some people that rent the condo, do not take care of it, but that didn't help me to enjoy my stay there.

There is no beach next to the condo, you have to drive for 5 minutes to get to the beach. Condo has a great pool, that was a big plus. Beds and sleepers are not comfortable, cups are chipped and old, REALLY dusty fake plant in the master bedroom. Great fishing pier in a walking distance, $10 per adult, $6 per child! All unit needs some paint, especially the second bedroom, dirty walls. There is a great miniature golf within walking distance.

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children.

The condo was nice but could have had a few extra supplies. There was no dishwashing soap and the only garbage bag was in the trash can. There were no dish rags or dish towels. There wasn't a table to eat on except for the small glass top bistro table in the corner. The television remotes didn't work and the tv needs to be thrown in the gulf along with the TV in the bedroom. Parking was extremely tight especially with my full sized truck. The pool is totally in the shade by 3:00 in the afternoon. I did enjoy my stay but for the price I won't rent this unit again. Thanks.

The condo was clean and well appointed, although there were maintenance issues that needed to be addressed. Both bedroom closets had bifold doors, but one of the doors was missing in both. There were no globes on the light in the bathroom and missing light bulbs. The toilet paper rolls and towel racks were loose or missing. The furnishings are very nice, but the maintenance is lacking. However, it was quiet, the beds were comfortable, we had a lovely view, and the kitchen was very nice. Had dinner outside at Jimmy's On the Pier just down the way--highly recommend. All in all, I still recommend this condo for the price.

This is a very nice, clean and roomy condo with a good view of the ocean. The living room is very large and the kitchen is great! The beds were firm and the futons worked out well in the living room. Our group had a great time. The bathrooms need a little attention because the towel bars and t-paper holders are all falling out of the wall. But this was a minor issue that can be easily addressed and did not detract from our stay.

Good Family Vacation

We enojoyed our stay at this condo. Everything was what we expected. The only problem we had was that sleeping 6 is somewhat difficult with two futons and two queen beds. We have 4 teens and none of them were about to sleep together! So, we ran up to walmart and bought a single size blow-up mattress. (had I known the bed situation better, we would have just brought one from home). Other than that, it was great. Clean, comfortable and pretty user friendly. A couple of suggestions, there really should be more plastic dishes (for clumsy kids/adults) the floor is all tile! Also, it should be known that you need to supply your own trash bags, dish soap and dishwasher soap (wish I would have known this so I could have brought it from home.) I will consider staying again, if we plan another trip to Galveston. Good prices, quiet and well kept.

the condo is very clean ,the view is excellent,near activities and restaurants, but a couple of minuses, no washer and drier, no furniture to sit on out on the balcony ,one of the couches or fouton is ,painful to sit or sleep on,

We were very dissapointed - the place needs a lot off attention! The toilets kept on running. The bathroom shower cuirtain has mold, the railings fall off in bathroom. We really wanted to cook there more, but had to buy everything. It would be so awesome to keep a surtain amount of spices - like salt and peper - and suger, dishwasher soap ext, there. We flown from NE, and had to buy all the little things. It will surely help people a lot out. The place is nice but needs a lot of repairs, the bedding's was not clean and the comforters was dirty. There were lights that did not work and my husband changed that out. We sound like complaining but sometime you need to hear the truth.

I stayed here for Labor Day weekend and had the best time!! The condo was gorgeous and the view was amazing, not to mention the view of ocean in the morning and the sunset! The kitchen is gorgeous and the beds are comfy! The bathrooms are very spacious and the linens were well stocked. The pool was perfect for me and as well for my little ones! I had a great time and will definately use this condo in the future!

This condo was amazing!! It is close to EVERYTHING, and the place is large enough for several guests. The drive to the beach was seconds..literally! We will be coming back to stay here again very soon! THANKS Jerry!

We enjoyed our Galveston stay end of July for three nights at this condo. It did have a nice view of the seawall. The property was very clean and taken care of, pool lovely. The unit had plenty of lounging room and a great kitchen. The baths were roomy also. If you are needing more sleep room than the two beds in the bedrooms, I would not rely on the sleeper sofas. Fine to sit on, not fine to sleep on. Walls needed painting, otherwise good. Would go back!
