When we first walked into the house, it was actually better in person than in the pictures. My husband and I had our kayak with us and were able to take it out multiple times a day (during both high and low tides). The house was beyond comfortable. We loved that there weren't too many nick nacks to distract from the gorgeous view. Everything you need to cook and have an enjoyable stay was right in the house. They thought of everything. We are both graduates from Bowdoin so we loved visiting Brunswick and getting sandwiches from Wild Oats. We also got breakfast from Cafe Mojo and the owner chef was so kind and hospitable. It was like having breakfast in the home of a good friend. We also got to partake in wine and cheese from the Black Sheep Wine Shop. This house is also great for young children. We had our two boys with us and the basement was a perfect room for them to both sleep and play. I can't say enough about the home and Laurie and look forward to coming back again soon!

We visit Harpswell every year and love the area. We could not get our regular house this year and picked this house to stay in. This house is beautiful inside and out. You drive up to a perfectly manicured yard and house. Inside, you can tell everything is meticulously kept up. There is a wall of windows out to the ocean and a wonderful gourmet kitchen. We had picnics on the back yard and grilled on the deck. Perfect for families with small children. All the comforts of home. We look forward to making this house our "home" every year now. Easy walking to the end of the road for a great wine shop. Short drive (less than a mile) to the "Veggie Corner" for local grown fruits and veggies and meat and baked goods. Cafe Mojo right across the street with fresh made pastries and coffee every morning. We like to go to Freeport for a whole town of outlet shopping and we always spend a day at the sandy beaches of Popham beach. We never miss the homemade goodies at the Island Candy Company on Orr's Island. Take a drive to the end of 123 and walk to the end of Potts Point for great shell hunting then pick up fresh lobsters pulled out of the ocean from Dick's Lobsters on your way home or if you don't want to cook, stop at Este's Lobster House for some award winning Lobster mac and cheese! Great area and plenty to do!

We had a dream to see the fall colors in Maine and this property was part of our dream come true. We are fussy in terms of cleanliness and are people that really do believe that good accomodations are a vital part of a vacation. This home away from home was very clean, well maintained and had all the amenities and extras you can ask for. There is the comfort and cosy feeling of a cottage but all comforts of home. The location is great for touring around. There are lots of things to see close by as day trips and also it is close to several small communities for groceries etc. We visited the Popham Beach state Park and the Reid state Park and thought they were both great spots. We also went to the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens and would highly recommend that you plan to spend several hours for a visit there. Shopping is great in Freeport, only a short distance away and great food was available everywhere we went. The best food experience was when we bought lobster from the local fisherman and brought it back for a great feast at the end of the day. This location would make a great summer holiday destnation but we think it was equally as great in the fall.

my husband and I just stayed at the cottage and had a lovely, relaxing time. It's a beautiful setting, right on the water, with views from the bedroom, the 2 decks and the living room, onto a small cove. Cottage was clean, well-appointed, recently renovated. Owners were very easy to deal with. Great Wine shop right near by, as well as good vegetable store and cafe with wifi. if you're looking to get away from it all, this is a great place.

The cottage is beautiful and is truly a great place to spend a week in Maine! I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone visiting coastal Maine. Also, the owner of the property is very helpful and quick to answer any questions you may have.

As experienced Maine visitors, we found this waterfront cottage to be far above our expectations. It is everything the write-up says and more. Tom and Laurie are most gracious and make sure that you are comfortable. You can not beat the location. You are in the center of Casco Bay, near all the attractions. Maine Matitime Museum, Bailey's Island, Fort Popham, the Cribstone Bridge, Bowdoin College (Museums and Coastal Studies Center), L.L.Bean, and much more. Yet, you are right on the water and can just relax and watch the tide come and go. We're planning to return.

Our first thought when we walked in the door was that the pictures on the VRBO website did not do the place justice. It is wonderful, very clean, and beautifully decorated. Laurie and Bill were great to work with. They even called us to let us know they were available if we had any problems when a big storm was forcasted for the following day. Laurie let us know about The Black Sheep wine shop down the block and The Vegtable Patch, both great places to check out. We dined at Jack's on Baily island and had a great time. We would highly reccomend staying in this awesome home.

We had a fabulous week in Harpswell! The cottage was exactly as described, and it was very clean and lovely. I especially enjoyed getting up early and watching the sunrise while the heron fished outside the bank of windows and the fishermen came back for a long night on the ocean. Laurie was wonderful to work with ahead of time and answered coutless questions. She even emailed many, many photos, which meant that the cottage felt like home the minute we walked inside. I can recommend this place with no reservations.
