Our family just spent time at Villa De Golf. My husband and myself, my 70 year old mother, our four grown kids, two of their spouses, and our infant granddaughter. The villa was perfect for our group. Enough bedrooms each with own bath. One of the kids slept on the couch. The villa was clean and comfortable. Much nicer than the pictures posted here. There was enough room for everyone. We had breakfast there before we went out for the day, and used the grill twice for dinner. All the local stores were convenient. We also drove to Bayamon to go to Costco's at the beginning of our trip. The pool was a short walk and refreshing. The hotel beach was nice. All the information Madeline sent us and had at the Villa was very helpful. Her directions from the Airport were easy. There are two sets of guardhouses to stop at we felt very safe and everyone we met there was very and helpful. Some restaurants we ate at were: Greenhouse cafe and Metropol both nearby and delicious. Maggie Moo's for ice cream was the best. Mana had great coffee. Dorado was great as it was centrally located, we traveled To Old San Juan, for shopping and sightseeing , what a beautiful city, We went to the Rain forest El Yunque were we hiked to the waterfall, Pinones had beautiful beaches and the best roadside stands, kiosks, for the best pinchos, and alcapurrias, empandada's etc. And to the west, Isabela our favorite beach Jobos. Our family did a lot of traveling and enjoyed every minute. The weather was perfect, and we left 3 ft of snow for temps. in the 80's everyday. Thank you Madeline for sharing your Villa with us, we had a wonderful family vacation.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Our first stay in Puerto Rico was great, thanks to our wonderfully comfortable accommodations at Villa De Golf. Mom and Dad and four adult children so appreciated the spaciousness on all three levels. The outdoor terraces were an added bonus. Many meals were enjoyed at the villa--outdoors and in. The close proximity to the airport, the beach and day trip destinations (mountain zip-lining, hiking in the rain forest, observatory, west-coast sunset, biobay kayaking) was perfect for our week-long stay. The golfers in our family enjoyed the course adjacent to the property (which overlooks both the 15th and 18th tees and the 17th green). Madeline provided so much helpful information for us beforehand and even included perfect weather for our stay--low 80s and sun everyday!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We rented this villa during a family trip to Puerto Rico. The location was ideal because it was easy to drive to visit family/friends and be able to enjoy a vacation as well. The place was nicely decorated, clean, safe, and very comfortable. The facilities were amazing and the nearby beaches were very nice and not crowded. My two young boys became friends with other boys in the neighborhood and they did not wanted to leave. We will definitively want to come back next time we are in Puerto Rico.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

We had a wonderful time. 5 adults, 2 "ninas"( 8 &10 ) all the space with 4 1/2 baths and bedrooms. Easy walk to complex pool and to the beach at EMBASSY suites hotel. Many nearby shops ,restaurants, and 4 golf courses to play make for a very relaxing time. Took day trips to camoy caves/arecibo/old san juan via ferry/ and toro verde zip line adventure park. All were easy distance trips. Este #98 home is a superior location for the vacation all will remember. Very clean and neat make this a great home "away from home".Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My family and I stayed for a week in early March and had a wonderful time. I have family in the area, so it was a great location for family events as well as Caribbean rest & relaxation. Rather than repeat what others have said in their stellar reviews, let me add some things I haven't seen mentioned before: 1) The location is terrific. Many go to Puerto Rico seeking the excitement of the city of San Juan, but it's just that...a big city. Yes it has its great parts (Condado, El Morro, Old San Juan), but it also has traffic! Dorado is about 20min away from the airport without traffic, and an hour with...we arrived on a Friday at 4pm, and rush hour traffic was rough. But once in Dorado, you have a great blend of quiet vacationing with restaurants/shops as needed. 2) The condo is roomy! Here's how we split the place up: My parents were in one upstairs (3rd floor) bedroom. My wife and 3yo daughter were in the other 3rd floor bedroom. I was in one of the 2nd floor bedrooms with the 6yo, and my 4yo was alone in the other. Any other combination, we've learned, creates lots of chaos and lack of sleep, so it the roominess worked perfectly. 3) There's a garage! Not mentioned, but very handy...who wants to get into a car that's 100 degrees inside? It also made it easy to stash dirty/sandy stuff between visits to the water. Oh, and there are quite a few kids beach/pool toys in the garage that were very handy, and easily saved us $20. 4) I think this was mentioned elsewhere, but there's a propane BBQ grill in the back. We didn't use it, but it was nice to have as an option. 5) Once you reserve the condo, the owners will send you an awesome letter including local sites, shopping and restaurants. We visited nearly every restaurant recommended, and all were delicious, family friendly, and economical (or as economical as eating out for 7 people gets). 6) The beach is about a mile away. Although maybe an option for kid-less folks, walking wasn't possible for our clan, so we drove to the Embassy Suites beach/pool daily. The parking garage costs about $10 for 5 hours, the hotel employees don't blink when you walk through the lobby to the pool, and the hotel restaurant's actually quite good for breakfast and lunch. 7) The Embassy Suites pool is absolutely fantastic for all ages and includes a couple of kid areas. For days when we didn't want to make the drive, however, there's a nice pool about 100 yards from the condo with a playground.Recommended for: Families with young children

We vacation in Puerto Rico quite often but we have never stayed in the Dorado area. We were skeptical but gave it a chance; it was well worth it! This villa was outstanding. It was beautiful, extremely clean and neat and had everything we needed to feel at home. The view of the golf course was picturesque and the beach, pool and casino were just steps away. Madeline was a pleasure to work with and made the entire process easy and stress free. We flew into San Juan, and with Madeline's simple directions, we found the villa without a problem (about 20-30 minute drive from airport). We cooked our own meals for most of the stay but on one special night we had dinner at La Terraza and it was excellent. Our group consisted of eight people, which included a 2 year old, and we were all extremely comfortable and had enough room to gather when we wanted to and to disappear to our own spaces without disturbing anyone else, if that's what we wanted as well. I would definitely return to the area and to the villa when the chance arises.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My family of 6 and i had the chance to stay at this beautiful home in Dorado, Puerto Rico. Let me begin by saying that the house is even nicer in person. My four year old son just kept going up and down the stairs and saying " I like this house, this is my house." The Amazing design and colors around the house added to the overall feel of bliss. The continuous around the clock security made us all feel safe and their kindness made us feel welcomed. The pool only a few steps from the house was always clean fun to swim in. Every room had a bathroom and a balcony, which gave each person the ability to go out and enjoy the view of the golf course and the sound of the birds in the day time and the Coquis in the night at their leisure. To describe and the beauty and amenities that come with this house would take hours. I would recommend the home to anyone. It made our trip something to remember and brag about.:) We are already talking about next year.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, sightseeing.

You can not go wrong staying here! We were a group of 8, 4 couples, and had a fantastic time! The Villa was very clean, spacious, and had everything we could possibly need. We had a great time grilling and hanging outside on the porch. There is access to convienent stores right near by, the beach, golf, internet, and the pool was very nice and quiet. The owner Madeline was very helpful and great to work with. She always responded very quickly to our emails even while we were at the Villa. I would reccomend this Villa to anyone traveling to the Puerto Rico area especially with a large group. So much better than staying at a hotel! Thank you Madeline!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

We had a wonderful vacation with our friends at the Tumminello's gorgeous villa. Our friends had vacationed there before and raved about it, but I was shocked at how large and spacious it really was. It is so tastefully decorated; great cool colors, makes you want to stay and stay and stay! Very clean & comfortable, lots of linens, closet space, internet and the well-equipped kitchen and dining area (and patio table & chairs) enabled us to have many meals at home. Walking distance to stores, restaurants, beach, pool -- unbelievable! After the beautiful beach, we would stop at the pool and just relax some more. The rooftop terrace has a spectacular view to enjoy and for pictures. To top it off, having our own personal tour guide - Madeline - made our stay even better with her suggestions to make a Perfect Vacation! We would recommend this villa to enjoy with friends, family --anyone! Hope to return.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

What a fabulous place! The villa was so much more than I expected! The patio was right on the golf course where we enjoyed our morning coffee every day; the kitchen/dining area was large enough so that all of us (8) could have breakfast together. Every bedroom, and there are four, had it's own airconditioner AND a ceiling fan! The location was excellent. Very close to great restaurants, grocery and drug stores, luncheonettes and also churches. The villa is right on the grounds of a huge Embassy Suites hotel where we were able to enjoy time on a secluded beach on the ocean, about a 1/2 mile away. Our accommodations at the villa made our Puerto Rico vacation so much more memorable and enjoyable!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

What a fantastic vacation. The villa was everything we hoped for. It easily fit our extended family, including 6 adults and 4 children. It provided enough room and privacy for everyone which allowed the entire family to enjoy the vacation. The owners were extremely helpful, providing detailed information not only about the property, but with suggestions for beaches, restaurants, and excursions in the area. We were looking for an escape from winter, and this villa was just perfect. We loved working with the owners and would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a great vacation.Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing.

After traveling a full day, the last thing any vacationer wants is to clean. Unfortunately for us, that is exactly what we had to do. The bathrooms and kitchen were realy dirty. The coffee pot had mold in it. It is the owner's respondsibility to make sure the place is clean, not the vacationer's. Two of the AC units did not function properly, and with a holiday weekend in full swing, repairs had to wait over 24 hours. That is a long time to be without AC in a tropical climate. The owner offered no refund for our troubles, noting we should have called to have them come back an fix it. The last thing we want is a bunch of strangers tromping through our vacation. If they couldn't clean it right the first time, why would we think it would be any better the second? Why should we waiste our vacation time to solve the owner's problem? Also of note is the fact that the 4th floor terrace is unfurnished and unusable. The layout of the condo is excellant, and the private community is great. The pool could be cleaner, but otherwise it is a decent place.Owner response: This summer has been a very busy one for rentals at our villa. Most of our guests are very happy and pleasantly surprised when they arrive to find our villa is much more than they expected. With many people in/out during the summer season, sometimes there is a problem which gets overlooked. We always try to correct any issue asap. Our instructions clearly state that any problems should be reported to us immediately. One of the ac units referred to needed a breaker to be reset which we were able to take care of immediately at 9:00 on a Sat night. The other unit was low on refrigerant and was reported to us Sun morning and taken care of on Mon morning. Tracy did not report finding the villa dirty until after she arrived home even though I spoke with her family several times during the week. The fourth floor terrace is not furnished because of the possibility of bad weather in the tropics but it is very large and really very pretty up there. There was an issue with a clogged drain which we were not aware of and has since been taken care of. We take great pride in our villa and enjoy sharing it with others. The other reviews posted are much more reflective of our villa and our service.

First of all, the owners of the property are very friendly and responsible folks. Once we were interested in renting the place, they contacted us immediately and provided further information to help us plan our time in Puerto Rico. The villa is spacious and well organzied. All the members of our family truly loved the place. We used every space of it, especially the kitchen and family den. The locals are very friendly and on our first day, we even had a police officer escort us directly to the front of the home. (we detoured a bit looking at the island...lol). Shopping, food, pharmacies are closed to the villa. In the morning, we would get up to walk around the golf course and had access to the community pool, which was clean all the time. The beach is also in walking distance - access through the Embassy Suites Hotel. Overall, we truly had a lovely time and without a doubt, would use the place again in the near future. Best to all, The Lopez FamilyRecommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We enjoyed this villa during the week of our daughter’s wedding in Dorado! This villa was very clean and well furnished. Each bedroom had tasteful furniture and linens with adequate closet space. The villa is furnished with extras like beach chairs, laundry supplies, condiments, sightseeing information, etc. As soon as we arrived we felt at home! Air conditioners and appliances worked very well. (A problem with one air conditioner was taken care of promptly when we notified the owners. They continued to stay in touch to be sure that we were comfortable.) The wedding couple, families and friends rented 5 villas in Villas de Golf. It is a quiet community. Our rehearsal dinner was enjoyed at the pool/pavilion. Gate guards and security staff were courteous and friendly. Villas de Golf is a perfect location in Dorado. We enjoyed the local beaches and restaurants as well as outings to Old San Juan, El Yunque and Fajardo. The Embassy Suites public beach is very nice. Their staff was very helpful in securing airport taxis, sightseeing tips and directions. We enjoyed golf on the grounds as well. This villa is beautiful and comfortable. It was a pleasure to spend our time in Puerto Rico here. I would recommend this villa to anyone as a “home away from home!”Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

What a great place! There were 14 of us.....8 adults and 6 kids and there was plenty of room, it was comfortable, cool and clean! One thing with kids is not having to run out the door (like a hotel) in the morning to get breakfast. We ate most breakfast and lunch at home and had dinner out. The grounds are beautiful! The pool was great! The beach is within walking distance! What more could you ask for? This was a great family vacation where we were able to make lasting family memories while staying at a beautiful Villa!!!!!!! ENJOY!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

The unit was everything we needed. My larger than normal family traveled to celebrate a milestone in my sister's honor (Happy 40th Dawn!!). We were worried the unit could not accomodate the size of our party but we were pleasantly surprised. The unit had plenty of room and afforded us the opportunity to sit and have a meal, stretch out on the sofa, relax on the patio and watch the golfers on the course or relax in our rooms and enjoy the peacefulness of an afternoon snooze (concrete walls were excellent sound barriers). The A/C units in eacg room allowed us to keep the room at the temperature that fit our family and not have to accomodate other people in the house. The walk to the Embassy Suites was a pleasant short walk and the scenary on the way was breathtaking. We were able to observe some lizards and colorful birds on the way which captivated the children in our party. The occasional coconut that fell in the path gave some fun time in trying to crack it open. All in all - the establishment was clean, well decorated, and stocked with all the necessities from home. Definitely a return visit will be in my future plans!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We rented Villa #98 at Dorado del Mar in May 2009 we were a party of 10 for a Mother's Day/Birthday Party vacation. We traveled from Massachusett, Connecticut, Ohio, Illinois and Florida. We were very please to find the Villa to be beautiful and comfortable with it's 3 terraces and a patio on the 1st floor, 4 big and airy bedrooms, well equipped kitchen and 4 1/2 bathrooms. Pharmacys, Groceries stores, restaurants and anything you could possibly need were within 5 minutes distance. We had daily breakfast at the Villa and it was hard to get the group going since everyone was so relax and happy sipping coffee at the patio or laying in the morning sun in one of the terraces or just enjoying the scenery of many birds, flowers and the golfers going by. We walked to the Embassy Suite and splash in the pool and the beach, some of us had lunch at their outdoor grill. It was fun! We purchased a Mothers Day/Birthday cake at "Sweet Ann Cakes" it was beautiful and delicious. We also used their wireless internet service. We drove to San Juan where we sight seeing and did some shopping. We visited the "Botello Art Gallery" my sister was in heaven. Later we had Happy Hour at "El Patio De Sam" bar and restaurant (great time. We had dinner at "Metropol" in Isla Verde and later on we went to "Señor Frog" a lively and happy place but not my crowd (age). In our 2nd. visit to San Juan we had dinner at "Ostra Cosa" (loved it) and for coffee and desset we went to a nearby restaurant where the admosphere was excellent but I can't recall the name, it was on "Cristo" street. In puerto Rico no-one rushes you out of a restaurant after you finish your meal, you can hang around all you want. Our group was big and diverse in age so we rented 2 cars and we went separate ways at times depending on interest. My husband played golf, my sister and I took a nice walk along the car path. We enjoy our vacation so much at this beautiful Villa and I recommend it very highly. Thanks Madeline and Richard.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Christmas break at Villa de golf 98 JayEi Marengo, IL USA Review Submitted: January 04, 2009Date of Stay: December, 2008 We just returned from a wonderful week at this Villa. There were 8 of us in all. We had 3 couples, my mom who is 79yrs and a 17 yr old. My son slept on the couch which gave him a comfortable bed. The rest of us each had a bedroom with a bath. Each room has an air conditioner which we ran only at night. We would have been able to go without air but the birds are very lively at night as well as the frogs. I am sure if we stayed longer we would have learned to sleep through their singing. The property was cleaned and well maintained. The owners sent us directions, keys, lists of local restaurants, location of grocery stores, medical facilities, which one of our group used. and a list of people to use at the gates. There are two gates that have attendants that you must pass through to get to the villa. There is lots of information about attractions on the island. The villa is very nicely decorated. We used the kitchen for breakfast and a few dinners. We loved the beach behind the Embassy suites which was a quick walk. We enjoyed the outdoor grill and bar there as well. There are beach chairs in the garage as well as toys if you have little ones. We loved the La drilla resturant. We also had very good food at Morena but it was freezing in the resturant and we were not wearing warm clothing . The service was very slow. The food was very good. We found Sweet Anne Cakes on the second to last day. It was a good thing we did not find it sooner as we would have gained 10 lbs. They have wireless internet as well. We shopped at the local grocery store Grande and Walgreens. We drove easily to Rincon for the beaches one day. Snorkeling was great at Steps. We drove East the following day to El Yunke and enjoyed freezing water falls and a beautiful walk.We Kayaked on on Fajardo Bio Bay with the Yokahu Kayak Trips with Menolo and Cesar. It was a little confusing driving around Fajardo and finding the kayak tours but we really enjoyed it! The beach near here is laquillo and it is lovely. We also went to local beaches but they were closed on Mon and Tuesday. We still went but there are no bathrooms. We returned to Embassy suites beach several times. We could have explored the island for weeks. We also explored San Juan two days. We also saw the fort, ST John the Baptist church and enjoyed the beautiful buildings. I would highly recommend this Villa. We lDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We liked that it was halfway between either side of the island. If you go, ENJOY!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I celebrated our 10 Year Anniversary here at the villa. Our wonderful friends bought us this trip and came along with us. In total there were 7 adults. 2 couples and 3 singles. We LOVED it. It truly felt like home. Firstly, it was SUPER clean, like if I had cleaned it myself ;). The beds are amazingly comfortable and we all woke up feeling refreshed. The villa is equipped with everything you could possibly need to relax and have a great time. The pool was wonderful, every time we went it was empty, which was GREAT! The staff at the villas is super friendly. I'd recommend a stay to anyone and you could conceivably fit a lot more people here. The only thing I didn't like was the beach. I'd recommend a beach further to the west for whiter sand and bluer water. Enjoy your stay!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: The beach at Embassey Suites which most of our renters use is a small private beach. We love it because it is in a cove and the water is very calm and lovely. The beach is never crowded because it is mostly used by the hotel and villa guests. There are so many lovely beaches in Puerto Rico, many within an easy driving distance of our villa. Whichever beach you choose, they are all beautiful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely, comfortable, convenient condo. Our group consisted of our daughter, son-in-law, our grandchildren, and our 19 year old daughter, and 23 year old son. A very diverse age group and there was something for everyone. We played golf, swam in the pool and ocean and traveled all over Puerto Rico. Thank you for a wonderful time.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Our family - myself, my husband, three grown children and 3 granchildren stayed at this lovely Condo for a week this spring. It was perfect for our family, very lovely, but also very clean and comfortable. The owner was a delight to work with and we appreciate her help in getting this vacation put together. I would highly recommend it to anyone.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Owner response: Andreja was part of an adult women's basketball team that was traveling for a basketball tournament. It was fun getting to know her via the internet and helping her with all of their accomodations. The group had a great time in three of our villas and we would love to have them all return again in the near future.

Just returned from our stay 6/30-7/5. There were 8 adults with space to spare. From the well-appointed kitchen to the terraces and patio you could not ask for more. The villa is inviting and very cozy. You will feel at home.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This is by far the best equiped vacation rental I have ever seen. Not only were the linens, dishes and cookware plentiful and attractive, but all of the paper goods and cleaning and laundry products were fully stocked. In addition, the owners and previous guests had left an abundance of restaurant and sight-seeing suggestions. Our family of five adults thoroughly enjoyed every day of our stay. We discovered the propane tank to be almost empty and it was immediately filled for us when we called to ask where to find propane. We most heartily recommend this villa.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

In addition to my wife, five young ladies (our daughter and 4 girlfriends, about 24 years old, nurses and teachers from Dallas) stayed with us for 1 week in this townhome in mid-January, 2007. They very much enjoyed the beach and pool facilities at the Embassy Suites while my wife and I relaxed at the condo. This is a beautiful facility---extremely spacious, tastefully and comfortably furnished. Great location to get some exercise... I quickly measured out a 3-mile path around the golf course to get in some jogging and walking. The golf course is literally steps away from the back door. It was very nice to enjoy the outdoors while Austin and most of Texas were iced in. We enjoyed several good meals at restaurants in the Dorado area as well as in San Juan. Traffic in and out of San Juan on Highway 22 can be very heavy and stressful. Towards the end of our stay, we instead began taking Highway 165 along the coast---beautiful drive and considerably less traffic. Early in our stay, we discovered a coqui, the "national frog of Puerto Rico," lives in a small crevice in the corner of the back patio. I'm quite sure no coqui has ever been photographed as much as that one! Madeline, thanks you! You have a beautiful place. I hope you and your family have many opportunities each year to enjoy it.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Seven of us had a lovely time in this villa, including our 3-year old daughter. The rooms are spacious, the furniture is comfortable, and the kitchen is well-equipped. We were especially grateful for the beach chairs and toys! Dorado is a great area and an excellent home base if you want to explore a lot of the island. We went as far west as Hatillo, as far east as Fajardo, and as far south as Cayey, all in easy day trips.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Nine of us stayed in the villa for a week, including two small children. We never felt crammed and we each had our own privacy as each bedroom has its own bathroom. The villa is within a block of the pool. The pool is clean and quiet. We were able to contact Madeline during our stay and she was accommodating to our needs.Did you find this review helpful? The pictures on this web page doesn't do the property justice. The place is gorgeous and very spacious. We visit the island for a class reunion and to see relatives this July. My old classmates had a golf scramble and I was able to see them from the backyard. We used the BBQ and the adjacent hotel facilities. We had a great time!! We look forward to returning.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
