Dine on the lanai and watch the changing sea and sky, stretch out by the pool or Jacuzzi with a good book and a cool drink, contemplate the future with a soak in the sauna, BBQ your dinner on the gas-fired BBQ's at either the tennis courts or the pool, play a game of golf at nearby Wailea and Makena courses, or better yet stroll across the road to one of the finest white sand beaches on Maui - the beautiful Kamaole I and II beaches, where the gentle surf will lure you in to swim and snorkel the reefs in the clear warm blue waters, then bask in the bright Kihei sunshine. As an added plus, from December till May, humpback whales will lure you shoreward to watch mothers cavorting with their calves.

Why the Owner Chose Kihei Alii Kai
We fell in love with our Kihei Alii Kai condo at first sight. Spacious rooms, a cathedral ceiling and the property amenities were many. We loved the spectacular ocean views and easy walking distance to the Kamaole Beaches - among the very best in Maui for swimming, snorkeling and boogie boarding, or just relaxing on the soft white sand with a good book. The property amenities, the ease of traveling to any point on the island and proximity to our shopping needs all made Kihei Alii Kai a perfect vacation home for us and our family. We now have a new hiking trail which begins at the Kamaole Beaches and continues all the way to Wailea. The path is easily traversed and is completely off the roadway. There are wonderful views and beach access is readily available. Restaurants dot the path in Wailea so stopping for a bite to eat or a drink is easy to do before your trip back home. Our son Eric enjoys paddling with local canoe groups and Kris has his choice of golf courses within minutes of our condo. Our grandkids race to the beach each morning and spend the day boogie boarding, swimming and playing in the surf. Lothar and I jump in the ocean each morning and snorkel to see the turtles and explore the reefs.

Since we and our family use this as our vacation home, we are very well furnished and equipped and share these amenities with our guests. We want our guests to have all the comforts of home, including a newly renovated kitchen, a media center, DSL Internet service, beach chairs, mats and towels, beach umbrella, boogie boards and toys for the kids, and a library of good beach reads. Our covered parking, an elevator and beautiful pool, jacuzzi and tennis court make this a true vacation getaway. We want this to be your home away from home too, and have made it as welcoming as we can. Kihei no ka oi - Kihei is the best!

I was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and Carole was born in Brooklyn, NY, but we both spent our early years in Los Angeles, and went to UCLA. We moved to San Francisco in 1967 where I was a Juvenile Probation Officer, and Carole a high school English and history teacher,librarian and community college instructor. We made our first trip to Hawaii in 1975 and decided it was where we wanted our vacation home. We have 2 sons, Eric, an educator and Kris, an architect, who has given us 3 lively grandsons and a beautiful grand-daughter, ages 18 to 3. The whole family loves swimming and snorkeling, and Carole and I spent many years SCUBA diving around the world. Now that we're retired we spend months each year in Hawaii enjoying the beauty, the sea, the weather and the wonderful Aloha spirit of the people.

This condo is clean and the kitchen has everything one would need, We have rented this condo two years in a row and would recomend it to family and friends, The owners are pleasent to deal with and hope to return in the near future. The beach is close as well as restaurants and shopping. This condo is truly our home away from home!!!!!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Our family of four had a much needed stay in Maui. We made this condo our home for 11 days and it was wonderful. The condo was very clean and spacious, a newly remodeled and well stocked kitchen, the washer and dryer were awesome definately something you don't normally see in a condo in addition there were many towels, beach mats and snorkel gear. We enjoyed having coffee and dinner on the lanai what a beautiful view. The condo is close to many things, we enjoyed the many eating establishments, shops and snorkeling just down the street. The pool and BBQ were also nice as well. Would definately recommend this condo to anyone we had a great experience and thank you to Carole and Lothar for all your help with maps and suggestions on things to do, and for sharing your condo with us. We will be back!!!

We so enjoyed our stay on Maui and all the comforts of your home. We wished we had been able to spend more time sitting on the lanai and enjoying the view. We saw so many shooting stars in the early morning hours while we enjoyed our morning coffee. I don't think I ever knew there were so many wonderful sights to see.

We left a cold and wet November in CA and thoroughly soaked up the sun and surf. What a lovely trip. We especially appreciated how thoughtfully the kitchen was stocked with pots, pans & tools. As avid cooks, we found everything we needed to try new dishes. All in all this was a very comfortable place to stay; obviously a lot of time has been put into making it a very functional home for guests. Many thanks, see you next time.

This is a FABULOUS place. The kitchen has been remodeled with a new refrigerator, cabinets,counters and new floor tile. Everything worked perfectly! We really appreciated the well-stocked kitchen with pots and pans, cooking tools, etc. The laundry facility was over the top for a vacation condo. Having a front loading washer/dryer unit and laundry supplies was wonderful. The lanai had a beautiful view of the ocean and Molokini. The awning on the lanai was a nice addition. The unit had plenty of beach chairs, mats, towels, toys, umbrellas, etc. All in all, my family had a wonderful stay at this well-equipped Maui condo (more like a home). We will be back and recommend this condo to others. Ignore what you read about this facility in the Ultimate Maui guidebook. The owners of this unit were very welcoming and pleasant.

Wow! What a nicley furnished condo! Perfect for our family of four. Easily the best furnished vacation rental I have ever stayed in. After 2 weeks not even the kids wanted to go back home! Everything was top notch, and Lothar is super helpful with info and e-mails. The view of the ocean, Molokini and Kahoolawe is even better than the posted picture! We'll be back as soon as we can.
