The Fish Creek Cabins are an ideal choice for those who love stylish Western design, convenience, and the peaceful feeling of being lulled to sleep by the sound of running water. Sited on two acres, the Cabins have over 300 feet of frontage on Fish Creek, which runs only 50 feet from one cabin and less than 10 feet from the other. In addition to its beauty, the creek offers fishing and, in the summer, is shallow enough for swimming and tubing.
The cabins themselves are as delightful as the site. The original cabin, which dates from the 1930’s, has been totally renovated and decorated in period furnishings. A totally modern kitchen, with breakfast bar, leads to an inviting sitting area with wood stove and flat screen television, off of which is a full bath with claw tooth tub. Facing the creek are the bedroom and study, which, with a full day bed, can be used as a second bedroom. Off the cabin is a deck which overhangs Fish Creek, a wonderful condition which could not be duplicated under today’s development requirements.
Less than 100 feet from the 1930’s cabin is a new two bedroom cabin. The entrance to this cabin is into a vaulted kitchen/living area, with an imposing rock fireplace, contemporary kitchen, and comfortable seating and dining area. Modern conveniences have not been overlooked, as the cabin has HDTV and DVD player, a facsimile machine, and wireless internet. Flanking the living area on either end of the cabin are the two bedrooms, each with a queen bed and a window box sized for a twin bed mattress....the perfect place for a child to curl up and go to sleep.
On the outside, the living area opens onto a covered deck which runs the length of the house, facing the creek. An expansive green lawn leads from the cabin to the creek, with a rock fire pit near the creek bank, ideal for leisurely conversations at sunset and into the night. Finishing off the site is a large two car garage, which is especially helpful in the wintertime.
Most extraordinary, the Cabins are only a two-minute walk from the town of Wilson and its restaurants, market, post office, antique shop, and the best bagels in town. Centrally located only a ten minute drive from both the town of Jackson and Teton Village, Jackson’s ski mountain and entrance to Grand Teton National Park, the Fish Creek Cabins are a very special place to vacation at any time of the year.
NOTE FOR SUMMER 2008: THE CABINS ARE FULLY COMMITTED FOR JUNE, JULY, AND AUGUST. |
