This new cottage is located in the quaint village of Mobjack, at the mouth of the East River on Mobjack Bay and is surrounded by water. Enjoy the sunrises and wonderful afternoon breezes.
The cottage is 1800 square feet and features a first floor master bedroom with private bath. The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped and boasts views of water on three sides and is integral to the great room.
The second floor has two large bedrooms, one with a full-size bed, and one with twin beds. The second floor also has a quiet sitting area with wonderful views for your escape.

6 of us stayed here over Labor Day weekend and we had a great time. The owners were very nice, helpful and generous. The house was clean and the crabbing off the dock was great. Seriously, you could feed an army with all the crab they have there. We brought our boats and went out to New Point Comfort Lighthouse and New Point Comfort beach which is one of my favorite experiences on the Chesapeake. Overall great time, it was worth every cent.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children.

Just returned from our second long weekend at this lovely cottage. Fantastic location, great for kayaking (you can take your own as well as use the one there), fishing & crabbing (the dock is perfect for this) and generally chillin'. Lots of nature to enjoy - this time we found six osprey nests as we kayaked and got some great photo's. We've been over holiday weekends and there was plenty of action on the water and some in the marina next to the cottage to observe without noise or disturbance. Cottage itself is really well equipped - very clean and with lots of the little extra's that make it feel very much like home from home. Owners live nearby and are very friendly and available to answer any questions but certainly do not intrude. We have three kids 9-14 years and they love it - however there is not much in the way of stores or restaurants unless you drive to Matthews so we take most of what we need and grill out in the evenings. Would thouroughly recommend as a great relaxing getaway.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

Staying at the Mobjack Bay Cottage is a little slice of heaven! This lovely cottage has wonderful water views from every window. Whether you want to read and sunbathe on the deck or pier, or go kayaking in the East River, this is a great place to kick back and relax!
