Relax and rejuvenate in this beautiful condo only two short blocks from the beach and one block from the sound in award-winning Corolla Light Resort Village. This spacious top-level end unit, with its three decks, cathedral ceilings, fireplace (available in off-season) and lovely wooded view is the perfect romantic getaway. It's also a great place for families with kids who will never be bored. The ocean is a short two blocks through the right of way behind the condo, while the beautiful sound with its walking trails and piers is the perfect place to watch the sunset.
Everything is within walking distance; the large recreation center across the street houses an indoor Olympic size pool, pool-sized hot tub, clay tennis courts, volleyball and handball courts plus a fitness center complete with the latest workout equipment-all free with the rental.
The upper level has pool tables, video games and ping pong for the kids. There is a skateboard park down the street and rental includes two free passes. For the nature lover there are wonderful trails on the sound (one block away) with docks to gazebos where everyone gathers to toast the breathtaking sunsets. If you have a four-wheel drive vehicle you can ride a mile down the road to off-road access where you might catch a glimpse of the wild horses running on the beach. High speed internet and wi-fi are included for those who just can't leave their computers at home. Linens and towels are provided so you can simply unpack and relax as soon as you arrive. This upper end unit is especially serene and surrounded by wooded views. Sit on one of the three decks and listen to the distant roar of the ocean while the kids play in the recreation center across the street. You are finally on vacation!

I am a retired high school teacher who has been visiting the Outer Banks on school vacations for the last 20 years. The beauty of the beach was just what I needed to rejuvenate and and reconnect with nature so that I could again be productive in the classroom. When my husband Ray retires in a couple of years, we hope to enjoy the wonderful beach house year around, but for now we're happy to share our home with you and your family. This is a photo of me with my daughter Devon who has been coming to Corolla Light since she was five!
Why the Owner Chose Corolla Light
In the late 80's, I fell in love with the Outer Banks and its long beautiful uncrowded beaches but I wanted to vacation where my young daughter could have plenty to do on those days we chose not to swim in the ocean. "Corolla Light" was like a NC Disneyland for us with its huge in-door pool and hot tub, beautiful pristine grounds, nature and jogging trails (we both are runners) and organized children's activities. I always dreamed of buying so when "Summersweet" became available we made our dream come true. We have made many happy memories here and know you will too!
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
The condo itself is spacious, quiet and clean. It is set back from the road and borders a wonderful pine and holly forest so there is a sense of being away from it all; yet across the street is the recreation center where children can safely play ping pong, video games, swim, and soak in the 12 person hot tub. There are three decks to enjoy-the front deck to watch the sun set, the deck off the kitchen to catch a few rays while enjoying morning coffee, and the back covered deck off the master bedroom to sit with a glass of wine and listen to the ocean roar at night.
