Beautiful, Exceptional Ocean Front Condo!!!!

Jill, (the owner of the condo) was such a pleasure to work with. She answered all my questions and was very helpful, detail oriented, and kind. I booked this condo for my honeymoon. When my wife and I walked into the condo, we could not believe how wonderful the unit was. The unit was very clean. The entire unit is decorated very well. It is romantic and chic, like it says in the listing title. Once we caught glimpse of the view, we were blown away! The photos do not show how beautiful the view actually is. We were literally stunned, and moved straight to the lanai (balcony) and stayed out there for a while just absorbing the spectacular and unbelievable view. We stood there in awe of how beautiful and blessed we were to have this unit for our honeymoon! The lanai is very large and very wide. We watched many many beautiful sunsets from the lanai and we enjoyed dinner out on the outdoor table a few times as well. We heard several travelers complain they could not see the sun set over the ocean because of where they were staying at different hotels/condos, so the sun would set over one of the islands located out west from Maui instead. At Hula Hideaway, the sun sets right over the water and it is beautiful every single night! The lanai is very private as well, it is difficult if not impossible to see inside the unit from the outside. The unit had plenty of room for my wife and I, and I am a big guy. It has a nice living room area, nice sized bed area, nice sized kitchen and bathroom. Like I said earlier, everything is decorated very beautifully. There are several dining options located near the condo (many of which are open late). General shops, gas stations, fast food, sports bar, beer brewery, dining, and other types of shops are within walking distance as well. The condo is located very close to Lahaina. The in-unit washer/dryer was very helpful. My wife and I both agreed that the condo was beautiful and that it greatly exceeded our high expectations. The location was perfect and close to everything. I have rented from VRBO before, all with pleasant experiences, but I have to say that Jill and this condo has been the best. Thank you so much, Jill. Your condo was beautiful and it was perfect in every way!! We will always remember your hospitality and your Hula Hideaway condo as part of our beautiful, unforgettable honeymoon memories!! Aloha Jill! My new husband and I had the most wonderful honeymoon in your beautiful condo. We were so grateful not to be at a "resort" and have a little home so close to the water. I think I took more pictures of sea turtles and rainbows from the lanai than I did of anything else in Maui! It was a quick drive to Lahaina for dinner and we tried out a few different beaches. Napili Beach was our favorite :) Even though we went after whale season, we did see one whale while fishing :) The scuba shop up the road was perfect and helped us book 3 different scuba diving trips :) The kitchen had everything you could ask for and it was all decorated beautifully with delicate touches. Loved it! I would highly recommend staying at the Hula Hideaway, especially since it is literally 10 feet from the water, you can see 2 different islands, parking is convenient and it is so close to anything you want. We loved the coffee shop at Gateway and tried the steak house and brewery too :) Thank you for making your home our home for 10 wonderful days! Mahalo!

Loved, loved, loved the Hula Hideaway!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Hula Hideaway!!! The place: The Hula Hideaway is cozy and sweet, and very romantic. And PRIVATE! Although you're on the third floor of a small complex, it honestly felt to us like we were completely alone the whole time. To stand in the room and look out and see nothing but ocean and the neighboring islands off in the distance was incredible, and the sunsets and the whales were magnificent! To have the crashing waves lull us to sleep at night was an experience we won't forget! The bed is big and comfy and the sitting area is great. The kitchen and bathroom are small but definitely adequate, and the whole place is just charming!! It was better than what we had pictured, and the description and photos were great. The location: The west coast of Maui is amazing!! The Hula Hideaway was easy to find, in a nice area right on the coast. It is between Ka'anapali and Kapalua, and a short drive from Lahaina. There are several beaches in the area, including the Ka'anapali, which was our favorite. There are a few restaurants within walking distance, including our favorite, Maui Brewing Company. It was awesome to get to walk to/from the restaurant! The location feels safe and it's awesome to be right in the mix of the resort hotels, but yet it feels really, really private. Honestly, when you're on the lanai, you cannot see another building (unless you try to!). LOVED that! Maui: Of the 4 Hawaiian islands I've been to, Maui is hands-down my favorite. It's pretty, scenic, clean, and has an upscale feel in most places, but it's still very comfortable and friendly. The things we did that I recommend: Drive north to the Nakalele Blowhole, and do the hike. It's pretty and a great workout! Drive the road to Hana, but make sure the driver is confident and do your research about where you want to stop along the way before you go, to make it more enjoyable. (And rent a convertible, it was AMAZING!). Do a whale watch. Although we could see whales right from the lanai of the property, it was incredible to get close to the amazing creatures (if you go during the right season). And enjoy the beaches, and walk around Lahaina (we didn't get enough time to do this, so it's on my "must do" list for next time!) In all, this was my favorite part of our trip (after spending time on both Oahu and Kauai as well). I cannot wait to go back, and I will absolutely stay at the Hula Hideaway again! It was wonderful!!

We just returned from the hula hideaway and have to say that it was absolutely amazing. The condo could not have a better location (right on top of the ocean). Every night we fell asleep to the crashing waves right out front of the condo. The condo is also very well equipped with anything you may need on a Hawaiian vacation right down to the binoculars for viewing the turtles right below the lanai. We liked the place so much that we actually booked our next vacation to the Hula Hideaway before we even left. We would recommend the Hula Hideaway for sure to friends and family. Cant wait to return for whale watching season.. :)

Our nightly ritual was to grab a drink and our camera and get ready for the show. What a great location. We got up early each morning to have coffee and watch the turtles feeding off the rocks. Hula Hideaway was everything that we needed or could possible want. The condo was comfortable and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed watching the sea turtles feed right in front of the condo everyday. Beautiful views, close to shopping and restaurants. We would definitely stay again.

This was our first vacation without kids in 22 years and this was a perfect condo for our stay! We loved being up north of Lahaina close to our favorite snorkel spots so the location was great. My husband had only been to Hawaii during the summer so he was looking forward to seeing whales and we were not disappointed! We went out on a whale watching boat our first day and on a snorkel boat another day and saw many whales but it was such a treat to watch them in the channel from the lanai! Watching the turtles eating just beyond the sea wall was also fun. Thanks for taking care of the DVD player problem so quickly. We loved all the little touches that make your condo so beautiful as well as practical.

My husband and stayed at the Hula Hideaway in December, 2010. We absolutely love the studio and the entertainment provided every morning during breakfast by the local Sea Turtles. The owner has done a wonderful job with attention to detail to make the Hula Hideaway a very romantic and special place. We will definitely stay there again.

Fabulous First Time in Maui

My fiance and I stayed at the Hula Hideaway for 6 nights before we got married, prior to moving down to the Fairmont for the remainder of our honeymoon. We loved this little studio! We missed it so much we contemplated cancelling our reservations at the Fairmont and seeing if the Hula Hideaway was still available. It is in a fantastic location, you can walk to several places nearby which is nice if you want to have a couple of drinks. Also the bed is very comfortable and the ocean sounds at night are fantastic. Every night and every morning were spent on the balcony for a few minutes trying to absorb the gorgeous view. You barely needed anything but clothing and your toothbrush! My bridesmaids and I got ready in the room the day of the wedding and everyone loved it. It was just perfect. We will definetly be back!!!

Perfect Piece of Paradise!!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon August 29-September13 and had an absolute BLAST! Coming to the condo the very first night we were greeted by a group of manta rays out front, and the following morning had breakfast with 4 sea turtles! Kahana is the perfect place to stay in Maui, because it is so close to everything including Lahaina. It was our first time to Maui and having a beautiful place to stay for an incredibly low price allowed us to do more activites. In the area, you can still roam about the upscale hotels without paying $300/night to stay there! Also, this time of yr is nice, because the crowds of tourists had left for the summer- I recommend it. We will definatly be coming back again! Thanks to Jill for her hospitality!

Wonderful Hideaway

We stayed twelve days in the Hula Hideaway and loved every minute. If you want a quiet, private, ocean front location that is just minutes away from stunning beaches or great shopping this is a great spot. The furnishings are all top notch and the owner's sense of style and hospitality resonate throughout the condo. Extra bonus was watching beautiful rainbows at breakfast on the lanai and the daily rounds of sea turtles feeding right below us. The only caution, it's on the third floor and there is no elevator but if you can manage the climb it's worth it.

It's been 3 weeks since I have been back from my vacation at the Hula Hideaway and I haven't been able to forget it. What a beautiful condo and great location. Waking up in the moring to the sound of the water and seeing fish and even turtles eating from the rocks below the lanai was so amazing. I wish I could pack my bags and move in. We will definetly be back next year!

My husband and I just returned from the Hula Hideaway. We feel so blessed to have found this darling, peaceful paradise. In the past we have stayed in the big hotels on Ka'anapoli with all the kids and the noise but for this trip we wanted quiet and seclusion. Everything in the place was comfortable (super king bed) and lovely to look at. We hung out in the mornings and evenings on the lanai reading our books and enjoying the turtles feeding off the rocks below. The view off the lanai is 180 degrees of aqua and azur colored water! The place faces west so there were spectacular sunsets every night too. Also a lovely breeze blowing through the place kept the temperature perfect all the time. We will definitely be back and happily recommend this hideaway to others.

Hula Hideway ...A true blessing !

We have been to the islands many times & this area is one of our favorites. It's centrally located to beaches, restaurants, farmers markets, golf courses yet offers secluded peace & quiet. A parking space waiting right at the bottom of the stairs. Jill has done an amazing job in decorating with a wonderful aloha spirit. The condo is very clean, comfortable, & fully stocked (much more than we could have imagined). The king bed w/ great linens, was the most comfortable we have experienced. (better than Hilton or Marriott's dream beds) This condo is a spacious corner unit, w/ a sliding glass door & windows on 2 adjacent sides. The afternoon cross breeze was awesome. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the private lanai (fabulous wooden lounge chairs) gazing out over the beautiful blue water, watching turtles, & the spectacular sunsets. Thank you Jill for a smooth / uncomplicated rental transaction. We had a fabulous time & plan to return in the future. Mahalo & Much Aloha

Hula Hideaway is a gem

We loved the Hula Hideaway and said on more than one occassion that we were so happy to stay in a place where the palm trees were taller than the building! The suite sized condo is a top floor (3rd) corner unit 10 feet from the ocean! It faces west towards Molakai and Lanai. We were there in early April and saw many whales right from the lanai (bring a pair of binoculars for extremely close viewings). They were an unexpected awesome treat to see. The sunsets from the lanai were outrageous. Kahana, the community where the condo is located, has a residential feel to it yet it's very close to the all of the beaches in West Maui and the ritzy resorts of Ka'anapali. The condo has all the amenities to make for an easy stay and the bed is very comfortable. It is perfect for 2 people. There is no elevator. For the physically challenged, you'll need to climb about 30 stairs. If you are looking for resort glitz and atmosphere, do not consider the Hula Hideaway. You will be disappointed. If you want a very private spot right on the ocean where the sunsets will wish you could paint, the Hula Hideaway is for you.

First of all, we arrived to a beautiful Hawaiian bouquet; I think the hibiscus in the arrangement was the biggest one I've ever seen. We enjoyed our 5 day/nights here at Hula Hideaway. It's so private and just right above the ocean. We spent lots of our time whale watching, enjoying the view of Molokai and listening to the sound of the ocean. We were very happy with the parking, just steps from the condo. The Hideaway is very private, but very close to grocery stores and restaurants.

Our 2nd time at the hideaway. As before, enjoyed every minute. Beautiful interior and beautiful deck right above the surf. Many little extras to make life easy. Make your dinner and enjoy the view. Convenient parking just 30 seconds from the door. Nice clean BBQ just steps away to cook a steak topped with a grilled pineapple. Minutes to Lahaina and a world away from the busy and expensive hotels. All I ask is that you do not book the next time I want to stay.

Hula Hideaway is truly a slice of heaven. You could stay in the condo your whole trip and have a great relaxing Hawaiian vacation right there. FABULOUS - Not your typical condo! We stayed 12/24/08 - 1/1/09 and consider this the ultimate "home away from home" for pure relaxation. It is actually much better than advertised in the description and pictures. This is a FANTASTIC option if you don't want a typical condo/apt complex and a much better choice than all the "humanity" at one of the resort hotels. Price/Value - OFF the charts, you can't go wrong here! I wish I owned it!

I stayed here last November and it was an amazing experience. I have traveled to Maui many times and after staying at this property it was my best trip there by far. It is a very intimate condo. WOW! What can I say! We loved the Hula Hideaway! You feel like you are floating in the ocean since that is all you see and hear out on the Lanai! Gorgeous! The decor is fantastic! My new fiance wants to decorate our lake home in a similar style! The location is perfect, the chairs, bed, amenities are terrific! We loved it and cannot recommend it enough! Aloha, Just had to leave a comment about this PERFECT studio in Maui.We stayed here in Feb of 2008, saw whales everyday! Everything is so beautiful (Jill you are talented!) Everything you need is in the condo, and the wonderful king size bed next to the ocean is beyond Heaven. Reclining on a chaise on the lanai looking down,it looks like your toes are dipping in the ocean! Hula Hidaway is close to everything, but in a quiet neighborhood. We stayed at the Hula Hideaway for only 4 nights of our honeymoon, and we wish it was longer. It was absolutely breathtaking. You woke up to the sound of the ocean and went to bed with the sound of the ocean. The view was amazing, and we had all of our meals on the lanai while the sun was setting on the ocean. It was the perfect Hawaiian setting with all the comforts of home. We stayed at 4 different locations on our trip, and this was by far the best one. Thank you for such a beautfil memory. We stayed at the Hula Hideaway for 10 nights during our honeymoon earlier this month. It was the most comfortable and romantic place we have ever stayed! We fell asleep and woke up every morning to the sound of the ocean crashing against rocks. The view is incredible and the unit is decorated beautifully. You are close to everything in West Maui and the grounds are well-kept. The owner is incredibly thoughtul and helpful, too. I would recommend this condo to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in Maui. We'll definitely be back!

My husband and I celebrated his birthday for a week at the Hula Hideaway. This is the most beautiful and romantic condo we have ever been to. The location is outstanding and the complex is quiet and very private. "Oceanfront" is an understatement!The amenities are too many to name, let's just say the owner thought of everything, and not left-over things...beautiful dinnerware, glasses, sheets, towels, etc. We would definitely recommend the Hula Hideaway to any couple looking for their own getaway in paradise. We really did swim with turtles and dolphins, not on a tour, but on a beach 5 minutes up the road!
