One block to the beach. It has a great game room for the kids/adults with all kinds of fun things to do. Plenty of sleeping for even bigger groups with nice comfortable beds. Wonderful backyard for the kids to play in & a patio for the adults to enjoy. The owner was a really easy guy to reach & communicate with either by phone or e-mail. I have already told others about it. We happen to go when the perch fishing was perfect & caught our limit at a near by beach.

Spring Break with kids

Spent Spring Break in Brookings. We were two families with girls ages 7 to 12. They loved playing hide and seek at this house and the movie room upstairs was a great spot for them to chill in the evenings. The game room in the garage was nice, probably would have spent more time there if it was warmer. There is just one shower in the house so we had to make sure the girls showered at night and us adults showered in the morning. The owners of this house were very easy to communicate with and always responded to my emails within a few hours. While you are in Brookings make sure you go have a bowl of clam chowder at the The Hungry Clam!!

Great house near the beach - ideal place for family reunion

We loved the house and location. It had everything we needed - well supplied kitchen, lots of games, terrific garage game room, large yard. With rain the first 2 days we discovered the Brookings bowling alley and cinema and lots of shops !! Then the sun came out and we enjoyed the beach (with warm coats), the beautiful overlooks in the state park, the redwoods, and even watched the last sunset of 2011 on the beach near the house. We had kids from age 4 to 18 plus assorted adults, including 2 grandmas. Fun time for all !

(See all the great plants that are dried). Weahter was perfect, didn't rain at all. Just windy when we went fishing. Caught lots of wonderful goodies! Had a yummy fish fry.

*****Guest Book Comments***** We have planned this trip since February so it was long awaited. The kids loved the game room - we had a air hockey tournament and my husband won. THe beach is so clase we walked there everyday. The ice cream shop on the other hand is a bit further but their ice cream cones were HUGE and delicious. M' Vay REc. Park was a great place to go and discover tide pools. Its only two miles away. We ate and ate and ate - Teriyaki chicken, egg rolls, crab (caught right down on the Brookings dock), popcorn - wells anyway. THank you for a wonderful stay in your beautiful home.

The kids loved having their own floor (upstairs) and game room. THey stayed occupied while we relaxed! They were allowed their own space without being on top of us the whole time! Thanks for the Pizza suggestion we visited them three times while we were here. LOVED IT! My 11 year old enjoyed reading everything you had about the Coast Guard! His favorite movie is the Guardian and he devoured all of your info! My five year old entertained himself with the ball machine in your dining room, and the twins cmpeted in just about ever game they could make up in your game room! We really enjoyed our 2 days at the beach house.. Only wish we could have stayed longer. There was plenty of room for guests to spread out and have our own space. House is in a very convenient location, to enjoy the near by beach, pizza and a quick drive to the baseball fields. We made great use of the bbqs and really enjoyed the game room. We really enjoyed our stay at your beach house. We have stayed in a lot of places. This has been the best house so far. THe last retreate we stayed in Ashland and it was terrible, we had to remake the beds, wash all the linens, take out the trash, vacuume, and we did not even feel like a vacation - it was like being at home :( We really appreciate the fact that we had to do the things that would be expecte4d not all of the work. Three generations thought your house was great. There was enough space for our grandparents to find a quit space for themselves, us grandchildren used all the games to the full, and my parents bounced between both groups. What a money saver too! Cheaper then a hotel plus we got all the benefits of a relaxing home. We cooked most of our own meals and all seven of us fit at the dinner table. Enjoyed the walk to the harbor where we bought fresh crab for dinner. We recommend this house to anyone staying in the area it is so versatile and can fit anyone’s needs. Thank you.
