This vacation is perfect for the family to be laid back,relax and bond. A long gravel driveway through the woods leads you to this 2000-square-foot, rustic, A-Frame, lodge-style, Upscale vacation home. Nestled among an acre of tall pines and giant hardwoods abundant with wildlife. Just 5 minutes away from the Crooked Creek Marina with boat launch & AWESOME lakeside grill. They have a boat launch too. Pontoon boat and Jet-Ski rentals are all over the lake. You can park your boat in our boat house or tie up to the dock. (approx 4 feet varies water depth off dock) Fine for a boat. LAKE IS AT FULL WATER LEVEL.
Create lasting memories while enjoying sunsets and watching the jet skiers go by the dock overlooking a spectacular, wide, deep, "prime location" lake view. Catch Blue gill, Perch and bass right off the dock and you can eat them too since Lake Sinclair is the cleanest lake in Georgia. The kids LOVE to run and jump off the end of the dock and play in the sand all day! (bring lots of swimsuits not too many clothes because they don't want to get out of the water)
The Crooked Creek area has great fishing and clear water. Roast marshmallows and hot dogs at the lake side fire pit.

Kids like to to catch critters in the little creek that runs along side of the house, But what's really great is the white sandy beach for them to play and collect clam shells! Moms love the safety of a shoreline as opposed to most properties with the "drop off" sea wall. STRESS FREE = YOU RELAX Bring Sand buckets and shovels!
Step inside the trendy decorated interior to a massive, stacked stone wood-burning fireplace. This charming retreat is impeccable and features nail-down pine wood floors, raw wood trim over all the doors and windows, cathedral ceilings with a wall of windows overlooking the lake views from almost every room in the house. Solid wood Pottery Barn furniture throughout with an adorable sportsman motif of deer antler, black bear and pine cone. Picnic and dining table. It's gorgeous!
On the first floor is a large master king-sized bedroom with sitting area, armiore, dresser, super big walk-in closet and luxury master bath with roman tub, separate shower, and double sinks. First floor also has queen-sized guest room with full bath, closet and dresser. The small loft upstairs is designed as a kids suite with bunk beds plus 2 single beds.

We just got back from an incredibly relaxing week at this wonderful property. The photo's here do not do justice to this perfectly sized, elegantly furnished home in just the perfect location. We arrived to a spotless home that had everything we needed for our stay. We spent the week grilling, fishing and generally just relaxing in a secluded, private and quiet location for a much needed vacation. We did a day trip to Atlanta which is an easy comfortable drive through rolling countryside. Fishing off the private dock is great with plenty of catfish around. Laying in the hammock on a lazy hazy day is quite the thing to do as well or just sitting on the porch staring at the night sky full of the brightest stars undisturbed from city lights or smog. We highly recommend this home and thank the owner for a perfect time.

We had an excellent time at the lake swimming, boating and fishing. The house has ample room and facilities for a large family. We went with our two boys and my husbands parents. We all fit in the house without stepping on each other. The loft area is the perfect area to "stash" the kids so the adults can talk downstairs. If you have any concerns just contact the owner. She is very reasonable and will listen to anything you have to say. Hope you have as good a time as we did.

We rented this property for a family gathering in April 2011...The house is beautiful inside and out....Very secluded, beach area for the kids and the water levels are low enough even past the dock area that you don"t have to worry about the kids swimming. However is still plenty deep enough to dock your boat. House is spacious with 3 full bathes which is a plus and is beautifully decorated. This house is wonderful if you have kids as well as a great retreat for the grownups....Would highly recommend this home for rental... :)

We had a lovely time in this wonderful home. The energy is delicious - the views are great - the rooms are so cozy, clean and inviting. Home is tastefully decorated. Excellent area to get together with family and eat and celebrate. Great kitchen, all supplies to have a wonderful vacation are provided for the ultimate natural experience. Beautiful landscaping and flowers, very intimate and sensual as well. So happy that we found this listing and were blessed with the opportunity to rent this house each year. We are so grateful. My husband and I flew into Augusta, scooped up our granddaughters and headed right to this beautiful home and loved every single moment there. The house is much nicer than it looks in the photos and was very clean and all ready for us. There was still trash in the bin outside but we called the owner and she sent a guy right over who took care of it. It is a perfect place for our little group; the toddler fished every morning out on the dock with her grandpa, and we could see the whole dock and safe clean beach from the house and deck. She even caught a fish! We had a marvelous magic time in this gorgeous home and did not want for anything, for instance there was salt and pepper, soap, laundry detergent, sand toys and fishing gear; lots of little things that made out stay much easier and affordable. Shopping is not too far away but we actually didn't budge from this place to look around, it was so relaxing and had all we needed for a peaceful week together. We will do it again, definitely!

When I arrived at the lakehouse for my visit, the beds were unmade and trash was left in the trashcans from the previous guests. I cleaned up myself and let the owner know about it so that she could notify the maid, but assured her that it was not interfering with our stay. In the meantime, my family and I enjoyed the house and the atmosphere. We decided to stay again a second time due to the "return guest discount." I sent the owner money for the second stay, and she called me the following day to let me know that I had misunderstood the quoted rate. I asked her to refund me the money due to the misunderstanding and she threatened to charge me a large cancellation fee. The owner also advised me that we were "difficult" renters because we called her during our stay to let her know about the problems we were having. Needless to say, we agreed to avoid any future rentals with the owner and she did refund me the money. Despite my problems with the owner, the house was great and the kids loved it. When/if you rent this place, just be certain not to notify the owner of any problems you are having and make sure to get an explicit rate quote before paying her.
Owner response:***********************PLEASE READ MY RESPONSE************************ Obviously this guest had a very positive experience during her stay since she called to rent the house a second time. I really appreciate the fact that we have many repeat customers and give them a 10% discount each year. I'm surprised that she mentioned the housekeeping issue since I had already explained that I could grant a last minute discount for a spot that was suddenly left open and she could go over to the house but to possibly expect to run into the maid who actually had been there and cleaned but waiting to put the clean sheets on the bed and take the trash on her way out. This guest appeared overwhelmed and confused during the rental process so I took extra time to coach her along, answering numerous questions and responded to a total of thirteen emails. I offered her a 10% repeat customer discount and thought she would be pleased. The problem arose when she also wanted a 10% last minute discount on top of that like I had given on her last visit, (it was rushed, that's why maid was not done) only she was not booking last minute, she was five weeks away from her desired dates. She had stayed in April last time and now wanted fourth of July week at a 20% discount claiming that she was using her company expense account to pay for the vacation and was not able to charge the mount required. While I sympathize with her need to take a second vacation on company funds, I could not honor her large discount request weather it was prime season or not. I sent back her deposit which upset her immensely. The house is always impeccably clean, I can assure you. I admit what she said in her review was true, I did tell her she was a difficult customer. I stand by it. I put a huge emphasis on customer service but refuse to sell myself short when it comes to renting this beautiful lake house. Just give me a call or shoot me an email and see for yourself! :) Heck, I'll even give YOU a discount just for allowing me the opportunity to prove her wrong! :)
