The cabin faces Lake Tahoe. Upstairs is a fabulous great room with vaulted ceilings and hardwood floors. The dining room table seats 8-10, while the gaming table can seat an additional 4-6. There are many large windows looking out to the forest and a peek-a-boo view of the lake. The gas burning fireplace and hydronics heating system thru-out enhance the comfort and warmth. This home is complete with a 32-inch flat screen TV, CD, DVD and VCR player. A home theatre system will compliment everything you choose to watch or listen to. A luxurious leather sofa, loveseat and easy chair lend themselves superbly to relaxing and unwinding.
The kitchen is complete with Maple cabinets and Granite Counter Tops. Large side-by-side refrigerator includes an icemaker. Enjoy the ease of cooking with a flat top electric range. Outfitted for the serious cook, this kitchen makes it fun to create delicious meals for all those family and friends gaming happily. We've included place settings for 12, quality utensils and cookware.
Ample deck accessed by French doors; the forest surrounding you, enjoy the view of Lake Tahoe while you grill your favorite meal on the gas barbeque. Warm weather months dine al fresco with seating for six at the patio table. Settle in to the lounge chairs for some relaxing conversation. There is another deck on first level with large hotub.
4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms on the first level. The bedrooms are all equipped with a TV/VCR combo. All beds are furnished with high quality Egyptian Cotton Sheets. A kitchenette off the master suite is equipped with a microwave, small refrigerator, granite counter tops and maple cabinets. This room also includes a Maytag Neptune stack able washer and dryer.
Snuggle down in the master suite queen bed with tempurpedic style mattress. You are guaranteed to melt into this bed! The private bath includes large soaking tub and shower. A small wood-burning stove will insure that cozy nights sleep. There is also a roll-top desk with DSL Wireless Internet. This master suite creates a separate wing of privacy.
The second master bedroom also has a queen bed and private bath with a shower. This bedroom is furnished with all antiques. The third bedroom has a queen bed with an antique headboard and antique marble top nightstands. The fourth bedroom is equipped with a set of twin pine bunk beds. A full bath services these two bedrooms and includes a shower/tub combo.
Agate Bay is a highly desired residential area that has retained the beauty and serenity of the Tahoe basin. There are lots of open spaces in this neighborhood that boasts nice homes on large forested lots. Located 6 miles east of Tahoe City and 2 miles west of Kings Beach near Carnelian Bay. North Lake Tahoe has minimal traffic, with none of the crowds, congestion, and commercialism of the south shore. (There is not a single traffic signal for an 8-mile stretch of the North Shore, where this home is located!) Our family has had other homes in Agate Bay for almost 40 years...this is without a doubt one of the best locations in the Tahoe basin!
The neighborhood is quiet, very friendly and great for walking. The cabin is only 2 blocks from National Forest Land, where you will find a wonderful walking or biking trail through the woods to Patton Beach on Carnelian Bay. Or one can hike or mountain bike uphill through the forest to Brockway Summit for panoramic lake views and access to a maze of Forest Service roads! In the winter, cross-country, snow shoeing and skiing is right outside your door.
There is ample parking in the driveway for 3 cars or 2 cars and a boat. Three boat-launching ramps are within a 6-mile drive of Agate Bay. Sand Harbor is a scenic 20 minute drive and hosts a fourth boat ramp.
In closing we would like to say that as owners of this home we have made every attempt to make this cabin as user friendly as possible. We love to have a good time and this house is conducive to this mindset of ours. It is a fun, warm, cozy cabin with great amenities. If you choose our home for your next vacation we feel confident you will come away with memories that will last for years to come!!! Very easy to find, centrally located, nice open and airy!! Has all necessities for a wonderful weekend getaway. Two bedrooms have in suite baths, and the other 2 rooms are so close together to allow a shared bathroom. The kitchen was fully stocked, seating for many and just a nice cabin to spend time in. The deck really is wonderful to sit on and enjoy the crisp morning and evening air!! The owners were extremely flexible with us and our dates, and were very prompt in returning emails and answering questions. We will be back!!

5 Star Cabin - This was our first time at this cabin and it was perfect! The cabin was clean and well kept. It heated up quickly and felt very cozy. There were 9 people in our group and the cabin fit us perfectly. It's location, amenities and charm make it a perfect place to stay.

My husband and I had an amazing time at this cabin. The upstairs of the cabin is a cozy / perfect great room equiped with a fantastic kitchen, large deck and plenty of space to lounge and visit with family. Further, the bedrooms are downstairs, providing peace and quiet for those that want to retire to bed early. From a location standpoint, this cabin is close to Kings Beach and sits in a cute neighborhood. We will definitely be renting this home again!

Wonderful vacation home, very cozy, spacious. Everything you would need is within about a 5 to 10 minute drive of the home including Safeway, Tahoe City, Casino’s, restaurants and shopping. The neighborhood is very quite and serene, close to everything, but still removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. It was really nice taking our dog on walks through the neighborhood. The home owners are wonderful, very nice, accommodating and easy to work with. The home felt like a tree house, the bedrooms are down stairs and the living room, kitchen and dining room are upstairs and all you can see are trees for days! It was really nice having 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms for 8 adults and 2 children. We will definitely stay here again!

Above all, it was a pleasure dealing with Tess. Correspondence and the transaction went as smoothly as can be, as she remained available and attentive to any questions we had. We emailed Tess on a particular issue which came up while we were at the house, to which she responded immediately by email, then called my cell (which I missed), then called the house itself in order to reach me. The house is spectacular, well equipped with cooking items (important for us, as we made a majority of our meals) and is ideally located in between the major North Lake ski resorts we wanted to try. The supermarket and a particularly tasty vietnamese restaurant is close by, too. I received my security deposit about three days after our stay wrapped up. If we go back to Tahoe, her cabin will be our place of choice.

We all had an amazing time in your wonderful home over the winter holiday. The house was so well outfitted with every possible need anticipated, clean and comfortable, well designed for two families and just perfect in every way. The kids loved the TV's in their bedrooms and the super snow play in the backyard. We all loved the hot tub. The upstairs great room and kitchen were a delight. We cooked meals every night. The whole experience exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much, The Woods.
