Many thanks go out to you and your family for sharing this great place. We brought our 16 ft. kayaks and thoroughly enjoyed being so close to the lake (within walking distance) and so close to so many mountain lakes to use the kayaks. The neighborhood was a wonderful respite from all the noise and traffic of city life. We look forward to using the property again. And, again thanks so much. We stayed here with my sister and her family (so 4 kids and 4 adults) and were very pleased with the cabin. It's very conducive to family fun--it's a clean, quiet cabin, that is well set up for all ages. Homewood is quiet, but it's about 5 miles from Tahoe city (?) which has a lot of ammenities. For winter, it ideally located for skiing! We'll definitely use it again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

We stayed here in June 2009. Our family of 7 (2 adults, three kids and 2 dogs). Everything we needed was there. The hottub was an extra perk. The house was just lovely. Thank you Joe.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Stayed at the Cronin's with friends for a long weekend in January 2010 for some local skiing. Great place, very spacious. Really enjoyed the hot tub. Location is great. I would stay there again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We stayed for a week at the end of February, 2009 and had a blast! There were 5 adults and a one year old with us. The owner was extremely helpful in figuring out what kind of baby paraphernalia was already at the house and assisting me with measuring the staircase width so I could be sure to have a baby gate that would fit. As it turned out, there was a pack-n-play crib and baby gate already there so the only missing component for our use was a travel highchair. I would say this cabin is perfect for families. The split level design of the rooms means adults can have one level to themselves, kids the other or in our case, one family up and one family down. I LOVED how well stocked the kitchen was though it does need more wineglasses (only two or three were on hand). Oh, and this is a minor point but the knives all were in bad need of sharpening--that's the chef in me wanting to make sublime dinners even if we were on vacation. The attention to detail rivaled our experiences with renting from Tahoe Luxury Properties and in some areas actually exceeded them! I have absolutely no reservations recommending a stay at this property as it is superior in both location and management. The owners were extremely prompt and bend-over-backwards helpful whenever we needed them.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We stayed here over Christmas 2008. It was a great spot for my husband and I, my parents and my brother and his wife and two children, plus our 2 dogs. The cabin is very comfortable and nicely laid out, with bedrooms both upstairs and downstairs. It's very well-equipped (though a little short on wine glasses, so bring your own). Joe was a delight to work with and we would definitely stay here again. Note: It's a very dog-friendly area, with quiet streets perfect for off-leash walks!Did you find this review helpful? What a beautiful cabin! We spent the 4th of July there and had one of our most memorable vacations playing on the lake and rafting down the Truckee river. The cabin was great for the 14 of us with plenty of space to be together as well as room for the kids to be off separately. The location is great and the lake is just down the street. We would highly recommend this cabin. Lisa and TomDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We stayed over Easter at this wonderful cabin with our dog. The four bedroom cabin has HUGE bedrooms and a great seperation of space. Our chidren enjoyed the downstairs with their own space for playing and of course hot tubing.(a great hot tub by the way). The kitchen is spacious and was a great gathering spot at the large kitchen table. Our children could sled just on the side of the cabin in the yard. The street has minimal to no traffic and walking the dog in the neighborhood was a delight. The lake is a short walk from the cabin. Renting from Joe and his family was very enjoyable. Everything you need is there. We would stay here again! Pam and MikeDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Perfect!!! The only word to describe this place! I dont think there could have been a better place to stay for New Years! It was very cozy for 8 people. The location was awesome. Being in the woods felt like we were there by ourselves but were still mintues from the shopping stores when we needed anything. The view was amazing! If for some reason we got tired of the wonderful view of snow and surrounding trees, we were literally, seconds away from the "picture perfect" Lake of Lake Tahoe! If you love the outdoors and appreciate nature, there is no better place to stay than this cabin. Not to mention minutes from one of the top ski resorts.Did you find this review helpful? The cabin worked out great for our group of 7 adults plus 2 dogs over the Thanksgiving holiday. We cooked a big turkey and all the fixings in the well-equipped kitchen. The good quality cookware and nice furnishings were especially appreciated. All in all, the cabin is very comfortable and conveniently located. If you stay there, be sure to take the short hike to the top of Eagle Rock - the view is spectacular.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
