Great Escape!

Guest: Breezy (Minneapolis, MN)
Date of Stay: 05/15/12 Review Submitted: 05/22/12

The condo is perfect for returning to after a hike, bike, shopping or brewery experience. The large deck faces the mountains and a quiet street. It has all the luxuries of a 5 star hotel without the big ticket price. Convenient location for dining, shopping, college and brew tours. Kitchen is equipped for staying in if you prefer. Super comfy bed! I'm already planning a return trip to Fort Collins and will make this unit a must stay.

Owner response:Look forward to having you back again.. Glad you had a good time. Barry

My wife and I stayed in the apartment for a week at the end of December, 2011. It was a perfect location to explore the many shops and restaurants in "Old Town" and gave easy access to the rest of Ft. Collins and surrounding areas. There is a parking lot next to the building. Barry is very friendly and helpful, also. There are very good grocery and liquor stores a couple of blocks away in walking distance. The apartment is very comfortable and beautifully decorated. We have stayed in apartments all over the world, and I must say that this is the nicest and has the best equiped kitchen of any in this country of abroad. We will definitely try to stay here when we return to Ft. Collins. I can't imagine a beet place to relax at the end of a full day of sightseeing!. We give it our highest reccomendation.

Owner response:Was nice to meet you, & look forward to seeing you again in July, 2012

It was nice to be able to enjoy the city and WALK back to the condo for a good night's rest. We would definitely stay here again and tell all of our friends about it too!

The penthouse deck was perfect for grilling and watching fireworks all the way up to Cheyenne WY. We found the condo very comfortable and the location couldn't be more central for walking to all kinds of bars, restaurants, grocery store, and shopping. There was even live music playing on the corner almost every night.

My husband and I stayed in this beautiful loft over Memorial Day. The condo is in the most perfect location in Old Town Fort Collins within easy walking distance from all the best restaurants and shopping Fort Collins has to offer. The loft was VERY clean and comfortable. The patio is huge and perfect for morning coffee or afternoon cocktails! We'll definitely be staying here again when we travel to Fort Collins!

Spent a couple nights in this property. The location could not have been better for enjoying the downtown area. Restaurants, bars, grocery, liquor and convenience stores all within a short walk. Parking was convenient and free. It's more of an open concept/studio than a true 1 bedroom. Clean, completely equipped kitchen, wireless internet. TV seemed to be limited to local channels; would have been nice to have cable, but no biggie.

Owner response:Steve, Glad you enjoyed your stay. Look forward to having you again

Perfect for our needs

Guest: Sallie (Lawrence, KS)
Date of Stay: 01/03/11 Review Submitted: 01/14/11

This was the first time we did not stay with family when visiting Ft Collins. We found the location a fun diversion from the suburbs -- excellent eating places, boutique shopping, and CSU campus all are within walking distance. A 20 minute drive and we were in Lory State Park and Horsetooth Park, both with marvelous hiking and snow-shoe trails. The loft itself was spacious and well-equipped. It was thoughtfully designed, with the bed blocked from city street lights, but with the living and dining area looking north, with a view of the mountains to the west, the downtown city roof tops straight ahead, and the plains to the east. We were unable to make use of the spacious, deep balcony because of the cold weather (we stayed Jan 3-10, 2011), but find it an additional perk for grilling, sitting and dining. We intend to return, as it met all our needs for a relaxed, comfortable stay. And for those who like to cook and eat in -- the kitchen is VERY well equipped: pots and pans, coffee-maker, utensils, cloth napkins and placemats. The only thing I missed was a tea pot. But, if I know Barry and Lynn's attention to their guests, they will make sure the loft has one by tomorrow!

Owner response:Thank you.. Glad you enjoyed.. Come back in the summer. Barry & Lynn

We have family in Fort Collins, including a son and usually we stay at one of my sisters homes. This time we decided to stay here at the loft. We really loved the loft expereince, we also enjoyed not be live in company to our family. I will say the loft was beautifully decorated and comfortable, the view beautiful, coffee beans were provided with the grinder , laundry machines with detergent, grill with propane, all made our stay one of the best expediences we ever had. We enjoyed Old Town which began with eating at Old Chicago and while eating the whole CSU Marching band came in and played 3 songs with a very animated band director leading them. (a hoot for sure) we went to Rocky Mt National Park, and Poudre Canyon both gourgous, shopping, eating at great places and in our case enjoying our son and my sisters and their families it was an all around lovely stay. Will stay at the loft again!!!

My wife and I spent 3 nights at this condo, and it met our needs perfectly. I took the car 2 days, and played golf, and my wife was able to walk around Old Town. The location is perfect if you want to be in or near Old Town Fort Collins. As advertised, this is a studio, not a 1 bedroom. The layout is U shaped, going from a spacious, well equipped kitchen, to a small dining area, to a small living room with flat screen TV, and finally a small bedroom area with a queen bed, with the closet wall dividing the bedroom from the kitchen. All of the furnishings are good quality, with a comfortable recliner sofa and comfortable bed. The best part is the large patio overlooking Old Town. Barry was easy to deal with, and easy to reach, returning my calls promptly. When we arrived, he met us at the condo, and showed us where everything was. He also made some great restaurant recommendations. While the separate living spaces are small, the condo is far and a way better than a hotel room. We will definitely stay here again when in the Fort Collins area.

Great Vacation Week Stay

Guest: Doug (Kinnelon, NJ)
Date of Stay: 07/03/10 Review Submitted: 07/13/10

The place was great, as it had everything we needed, and the location being right in the center of Old Town what more could you ask for. Barry greeted us and he was very helpful and showing us around the place. Since we had a car he gave us a residence parking permit which made parking a breeze right next to the building. The loft was on the top floor of the building and with elevator access, it was very easy access no stairs to climb here which was great. The accommodations were very comfortable. The bed was comfortable and had good quality pillows with lots of closet space. The large bathroom came with ample bathroom supplies along with plenty of good quality soft towels. And if you need to do some laundry, the washer and dryer that is in the closet cleans them up in a jiffy. The kitchen was equipped with everything you would need to throw a meal together and cooking on the outdoor grill was great. The deck furniture and umbrella were comfortable and made eating outside on the deck a pleasure. And speaking of the outdoor deck, the view from the deck was great and since we were there over the July 4th weekend, we had the pleasure of watching the firework displays from around the area, even thou it rained that evening. All in all it was a great place to stay, and we would definitely stay there again when we come back to visit as it was the perfect place for the two of us. Why stay at a hotel, when this place offers so much more.

My wife and I spent a long weekend - three days/four nights - in April in Ft. Collins (from Florida) and this condo was great! The location is central to everything - walking distance to everything in the historic section and easy to get to the trails and sights during the day. The condo kitchen had everything we needed, the place was comfortable, clean, quiet and had a great view of the mountains! The owner was very helpful and accessible to answer questions prior to and during our visit. We give the place two thumbs up! Thanks!

Back again! Didn't think it possible, but I think I enjoyed my stay at the condo even more this time! The weather was extremely cooperative and we were able to grill out and have cocktails on the deck while watching the sun go down over Ft. Collins. Doesn't get much better than that. My daughter stayed almost every night and even brought her sleeping bag and slept outside on the deck a couple of nights. She said it was like being on vacation before finals, without ever having to leave. Thanks for accomodating my request for the extra nights. It worked out perfect! I'll be back again! Greetings from South Carolina, Barry. Just a note to thank you again for renting your condo to us. We had a good week in Ft. Collins, the condo location is perfect and you've got a very nice place. Big recliners are *very* comfortable, and we had front row seats for the downtown Ft. Collins New Year's fireworks. I trust you found the place in good condition, as we found it when we arrived. We stayed three nights in this lovely condominium. The location is great; the highlight, however, was the superb accommodations. The furnishings are very comfortable and all seems very new. Big, comfy chairs to watch the television, plus a full kitchen made for a very pleasant stay. A very cool 'high' dining table and four chairs in the condo and a table, four chairs and a barbecue on the huge deck (with a great view!) were definitely a bonus. We will certainly stay at this spotless, well-located, beautifully furnished condominium again.

Adrian and I spent the summer in Ft. Collins at this property. We had a wonderful experience and enjoyed the amenities and the Old Town ambiance. We could walk to restaurants, night life, shops, and parks. It was very fun. The view from this condo is outstanding. You can see the mountians to the west and it almost seems you can see to Cheyenne to the north. You can look down on the activitiy of Old Town, but it is not noisy. It is very quiet because you are up so high. This is a wonderful location and it is super. Ft. Collins is a city that has devoted much energy to giving goods and services to its citizens.

The location is perfect and even with the cold and snow, I spent every morning on the deck with my coffee. Can't wait to come back in the summer and do some cooking on the gril and uncovering that cooler from the snow! We loved your place and fell in love with Ft. Collins.
