This luxurious ~ 3,000 square foot Santa Barbara Adobe Beach Estate has two master suites. One of them features a wonderfully updated bathroom retaining the character of the period with a claw-foot tub. The other master suite (or guest quarters) is very spacious, private, and has a separate entrance.
Built in 1925, this beautifully restored adobe hacienda is a Historical Landmark known as the Charles Pressley Estate. One of the few original provincial Spanish Colonial Revival style homes, in this one of a kind beachside neighborhood, the Mesa.
But don't be fooled because this home provides the relaxed feel of a beach home as well. Breath the freshest Pacific air.

The living room is spacious with a classic fireplace and an adjoining dining room - both of which access a lovely entertainment terrace, which looks out to the satillo tile patio & lush and expansive front yard. The guest bathroom sparkles with imported Spanish and Byzantine tiles.
The attention to detail is exquisite - from wrought iron accents, to arched doorways, to exposed adobe bricks decorating the fireplace.
Gleaming oak floors shine throughout the interior of this lovely home, with beautifully restored wood beams in the living and dining rooms. The entire home has the traditional thick walls and high ceilings of an adobe.
Gorgeous pecan cabinetry graces the gourmet kitchen, complete with Viking stove and oven, built-in refrigerator and freezer, Beaumaniere Limestone counters, oversize sink, and a beautiful custom hood decorated with imported tile and copper accents. The adjacent spacious laundry room opens to the rear gardens.
The home is situated on a large Mesa lot of 1/4 Acre + (about twice the size of many lots in the area) - walled front and rear, with a gated entry. The front yard is beautifully manicured, complete with fountain and formal gardens. The rear courtyard is accessed via French doors from the living room, breakfast dining area, and rear hall near one of the master bedrooms.

We LOVED our stay (Memorial Day Weekend). The house is beautiful, private and felt just like home. We loved the open, airy feeling of the house, and the beautiful gardens. It was SO relaxing - from coffee on the front patio, to dining in the formal dining room...just perfect. Best of all, we could walk to the beach easily, or drive to the official dog beach, which was very close. We also found a fabulous market blocks away and a wonderful produce market. I have already contacted the owner about dates for our next stay, as I cannot imagine we would find a better hideaway.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, age 55+, pet owners, sightseeing.

This home is the perfect retreat in every way. It is private and serene, but still convenient to beach access, restaurants and shopping. I walked everywhere! The house is completely udpdated and spacious- ideal for cooking and entertaining, and the attention to detail is extraordinary- it is an architectural beauty. I loved relaxing on the patios and in the gardens...truly paradise. The owner was a delight to work with, too- I highly reccomend this home!

This home is not only beautiful, spacious, and comfortable, it's ideally located in Santa Barbara. It is just a short couple of blocks to the beach and within minutes of good grocery (Gelson's/Lazy Acres/Albertson's) and convenience stores. There are plenty of places to relax both inside and out and the kitchen is set up for cooking and enjoying meals at home. We rented the house during our daughter's wedding week and it was exactly what we had hoped for in every way. We will definitely rent the house again when we return to SB. We've rented many VRBO homes and this one is at the top of our list! Thank you Cia!

The spanish-style home was lovely. There was plenty of room for everyone including the many areas in the garden to read and soak up the sun. The short walk to the ocean and walking trails were nice features. At low tide, we could walk on the sand to the restaurant on the beach. It was a quick ride to State Street and an even shorter ride to grocery stores. We would highly recommend this home to anyone!

The home & garden areas are so spacious & comfortable, it was a tough choice to decide where to spend time. It's very difficult to leave such a place! We had a wonderful time. This property was just as described. Very convenient to local beach, grocery, restaurants, etc. Beautiful details in the home. The living/dining areas were very large. We had a lovely time.
