We stayed at this property with our two university-aged kids for two weeks over Christmas 2011 and New Years 2012. The house is as described and shown on the vrbo.com website. The booking process was easy and the directions and advice given by the owners very informative and helpful. We arrived on a late flight and got to the house late in the evening and had no problems getting in and settled that evening. It snowed that night and the owners were out clearing the walks, driveway and patio area early the next morning. We were there to visit with family and friends that live in Calgary and know the area well so we didn't need a lot of advice on what to see and do but had we the owners know the area and where to go and what to see very well. They had lots of literature and access to the internet and a computer in the family room with wirless throughout the house which made making any dining or sight seeing arrangements very easy. The house is well-maintained and spotless. There is a huge family room at the back of the house with a great entertainment system and they even set up a Christmas tree with decorations for us to make it feel like home over the holidays. The newly renovated kitchen had every possible accessory you could want in your own kitchen. You can not beat the location of the house. It is on the edge of downtown with excellent skyline views over the city and easy access to restaurants and shops on 17th Avenue. Because you are not right downtown there are no parking hassles with the single garage, a long driveway and street parking. We needed to visit relatives and friends in all different area of the city and the central location made for quick trips any where we needed to get to. The weather was warm while we were there and so was there hospitality. I can't think of a better place to stay in Calgary and highly recommend it for couples and families, sightseeing or for business needs.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We have stayed at several VRBO properties in the US, Canada, and France. This property was one of the best equipped, from experiences. The house is bright, and clean. Brian and Becky are friendly, and responsive. The location was perfect for the family wedding we attended, with a good SafeWay store very close by. Public transportation is close by, and we used it to visit the Glenbow Museum downtown. The house proved to be a perfect place for impromptu family gatherings before and after the wedding, because of the large, private patio, and proximity to playgrounds. If only it were located in Southern California.....:)Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Five of us (two parents, two grandparents and a 4 year old grandson) spent a week at this property and had a great time. The house is spacious, spotlessly clean and very well-equipped, just as described. The kitchen has everything you could need (right down to plastic containers!). We particularly appreciated the use of the computer and internet. The house is well-situated and provided easy access when we wanted to go into the city centre as well as when we drove out to see the Rockies. The garden is also lovely to sit out in and there is a great view of the city skyline. The owners were lovely and very helpful. They provided excellent customer service and lots of helpful information before we travelled - we were very impressed with everything. All in all, we would definitely recommend this as an excellent place to stay and would stay again without hesitation.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

We stayed in the house for one week during April. The house was spacious, definitely enough room for me, my husband and 3 kids. Everything we needed for the week was supplied: linens, washer and dryer, dishes and everything was clean and comfortable. It was comfortable enough to feel like home, yet relaxing enough to feel like a vacation. The location was close to everything we needed: groceries, a mall, even downtown. The view from the house was spectacular, overlooking downtown Calgary. The owners are friendly, helpful and available if we needed anything. I would recommend staying here rather than a hotel. There is more room, privacy and overall just a better atmosphere.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

A part of me doesn't want to let anyone know how fabulous this property is! But then that wouldn't be fair to Becky and Brian who were nothing but accomodating and caring to our needs and the weather that surprised all of us. The home is warm, inviting, clean and well maintained as are the driveway and stairs should you run into so unexpected snow. This is a gem in the city and the gals of Not Your Nana's Silver look forward to staying at the property year after year!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

My family stayed in this beautiful home between 12 - 19 September 2008, and had a fantastic time. The house is perfect for families & couples, and is very spacious. The kitchen is a dream and has everything you could possibly need, 2 lounges are a big plus, as those that want to watch TV can without disturbing those who don't. Great views of the city and the garden is fantastic for those that like wildlife, we saw many different types of birds as well as a variety of squirrels. We would recommend staying here to all, much better than a hotel and we will definately be staying here upon our return to CalgaryDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 6/6

Our party of four had the pleasure of staying here between May 7th and 12th and had a marvelous experience .. the house has so many positives, lots of room, great kitchen, complimentary long distance/computer/internet access, beautiful backyard, great location, and our hosts, Brian and Becky, were just so friendly and helpful .. We would try to come back again without any hesitation and would we recommend this house to others? You bet !!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 7/8

We stayed at this house for a week around the time of my sisters wedding and truly enjoyed our stay. The house is much larger than it appears in the photos and is very well decorated and in great shape. The family room off the back of the house is huge with a large widescreen TV and comfy leather couch. The kitchen is very bright and modern with everything one needs to prepare your own meals. Every room is tastefully decorated. The owners are very nice people and easy to deal with. We highly recommend staying here and will be looking to book with them again in the future.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 13/15

We stayed at the residence during the Calgary Stampede. It is an extremely central location to get around Calgary (we had a car), the house and amenities are great and the hosts helpful and gracious and not intrusive. The pictures are no exageration and we wouln't hesitate to recommend it to others.Great back yard too! YvonneDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 10/12
