  Around Christmas of '06 my wife and I began to talk about what we were going to do for Christmas gifts for our family that year. I came up with the idea that since my family takes a family trip every year together why didn't the both of us just pay for the trip for everyone and that could be their Christmas gift. We agreed upon that and decided that the Gulf Coast of Florida would make a perfect vacation spot; also, every one in my family had mentioned the previous year that they would like to see the blue waters of the Gulf; normally we vacation on the Atlantic coast and the water is very murky. I then set out searching for that perfect vacation home. It took me several weeks searching for a home that was suitable and could accommodate a group of about 11 people, which included 3 children. After much searching I came across The Blue Waters. Immediately my wife and I fell in love with the house. The pictures included on the website were very helpful as was the description of the house. We were very impressed with the fact that the house had an elevator, which would come in handy as my elderly grandmother would be traveling with us and she has a difficult time walking. So we booked the house and I must say that Debbie Carnegie was wonderful to work with, I really do appreciate her! When we arrived at the house it became the moment of truth. We all know those times when we make a reservation at a hotel because we see the wonderful pictures and then arrive only to find that the pictures were no where close to the condition of the hotel; we were now approaching that same moment. However, I must say that the photos on the website only underestimated our thoughts of the house. Being there and seeing what a wonderful house that it is and the setting with the courtyard was just wonderful! The rooms were very spacious, the bathrooms very specious, the kitchen very well equipped and elegant, just everything, everything was PERFECT! My wife and I claimed the 3rd floor master bedroom and bathroom!! I tell you it was wonderful! The shower was elegant, the jetted tub was wonderful. I just cannot say enough wonderful things about this house. It truly made our vacation just that much more enjoyable. We will definitely stay here again should we ever visit the Gulf coast again! In regards to the location of the house; it was PERFECT. Far enough away from the "ACTION" that it wasn't too busy or loud but close enough so that everything including stores and attractions were very conveniently located.   For the last 10 years, we have vacationed in Fl. . This was the best yet! with our daughters and their families! Blue Waters is all it is advertised to be.! We had plenty of room(6 adults and 5 youngsters). The 4 youngest claimed the" bunks" bedroom and the teen slept in the den area. Everyone had their own space.(Grandpa and Grandma claimed the 3rd floor luxury master suite!) The large living/dining/ kitchen area was our main assembly area. (Each could retreat to their own spot when desired). The separate den area was shared by all the kids during the day.It was also handy to have the separate Laundry Room central on the 2nd floor. Beach access was a quick walk away . July and minimum crowds! We had no problem claiming a choice spot: Clean sand, Clear Water, Beautiful unbroken shells--, Heavenly!!! ( Note: The quick walk back, rinsing off with the hose by the garage and using the garage entrance really cut down on the sand brought into the house.) The house is well maintained with plenty of room . Debbie is delightful to work with, even providing a book complete with appliance usage directions . The elevator was handy for bringing in luggage, groceries and supplies( and getting Grandpa and Grandma to the third floor! ). We were away for the crowds , yet within minutes of the action (restaurants, shopping , parks etc). The 5 yr old was thrilled with the Pirate Ship cruise and the older "boys" (Dads and sons) enjoyed a deep sea fishing expedition..bringing back dinner! Both shops were docked about 30 minutes away. We can't wait to return again!

  THIS HOUSE WAS MORE THAN WHAT I AND MY FAMILY THOUGHT IT WOULD BE. WE HAVE STAYED IN OTHER PLACES YEARS BEFORE AND WAS NOT HAPPY WITH OUT STAY. HOWEVER THIS PLACE FIT ALL OUR NEEDS AND MORE. THE HOUSE WAS SUPER CLEAN AND FRESH! I REALLY WANT TO SAY A BIG THANK YOU TO DEBBIE! SHE WAS THE BEST TO WORK WITH. SHE WAS VERY EASY TO WORK WITH AND I REALLY COULDNT ASK FOR A BETTER OWNER TO WORK WITH. SHE RESPONDED TO EVERY EMAIL AND PHONE WITH IN GOOD TIMING. DEBBIE NEVER ONCE GOT AN ATTITUDE WITH ME OR MY FAMILY. I REALLY APPRECIATED HOW SHE CALLED TO MAKE SURE MY FAMILY AND I WAS HAVING A GOOD TIME AND TO MAKE SURE THE HOUSE WAS WHAT WE EXPECTED! THE THREE BEDROOMS ON THE FIRST FLOOR FITTED EVERYONE. IT WAS MORE THAN ENOUGH ROOM FOR MY WHOLE FAMILY WHICH INCLUDED 4 KIDS AND 4 ADULTS. WE ALL WERE ABLE TO SPEND FAMILY TIME TOGETHER AND STILL HAVE ENOUGH ROOM TO SPREAD OUT WHEN WE DIDNT WANT TO BE ALL TOGETHER. THE MASTERS ON THE FIRST FLOOR IS VERY NICE AND IS A BIG BONUS FOR PARENTS WHO HAVE YOUNGER KIDS AND LIKE TO CHECK ON THEM THROUGH OUT THE NIGHT. THE KITCHEN WHICH ON THE SECOND FLOOR IS TO DIE FOR! EVERYTHING WAS PROVIDED WE REALLY DIDNT HAVE TO BRING MUCH! SPOONS, FORS, KNIVES, PLATES..EVERYTHING WAS PROVIDED! MY FAMILY AND I REALLY ENJOYED THE SURROUND SOUND SPEAKERS ON THE SECOND FLOOR FOR WHEN WE HAD MOVIE NIGHTS. IT WAS ALSO ANOTHER BIG BONUS THAT IT WAS A FULL BATHROOM AND WASHROOM ON THE SAME FLOOR. ALSO THE BALCONY ON EVERY FLOOR IS A REALLY NICE FEATURE OF THE HOUSE! WE REALLY ENJOYED SITTING OUT THERE DURING THE MORNINGS. THE THIRD FLOOR SUITE IS AWSOME! VERY LARGE BEDROOM WITH GREAT CLOSET SPACE AND AMAZING BATH ROOM! THE KING SIZE BED WAS JUST PERFECT! THE HOUSE I RIGHT DOWN THE STREET FROM THE BEACH WHICH IS GOOD BECAUSE YOU DON'T HEAR THE TRAFFIC. ALSO YOU DON'T HEAR THE XTRA NOISE FROM THE OTHER TRAVELERS! THE HOUSE IS REALLY CLOSE TO PRIER PARK AND LOTS OF RESTURANTS. PARKING AT THE HOUSE WAS NOT A PROBLEM. THERE WAS PLENTY OF PARKING SPACE. THERE IS ALSO CHAIRS, TABLES, TOWELS, AND TOYS TO TAKE TO THE BEACH THAT DEBBIE PROVIDED. OVER ALL THIS WAS A WONDEFUL HOUSE AND WE HAD AN GREAT VACATION AND WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO BOOKING THE HOUSE AGAIN FOR NEXT YEARS VACATION! WE HAVE TOLD OUR WHOLE FAMILY BACK HOME ABOUT THIS GREAT HOUSE AND EVEN TOLD OTHER TRAVELERS ABOUT THE BLUE WATERS IF THEY WERE TO EVER LOOK FOR A GRAT PLEACE TO RENT!   My family decided to vacation in the gulf this year and blue waters is where we called home for a week. The house is very nice and steps from the beach which was great since we have kids. Everything you could want is in the house including top notch appliances. All the bathrooms and bedrooms are nicely sized and laid out well. The master suite is amazing. We had 9 in our party and the house was not crowded at all. There is a great mall five minutes from the house which is nice. The house is away from the busy night lift and traffic but just close enough if you're in to that sort of thing. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly. We've rented a beach house twice every summer for the past 6 years and this has been our best experience yet.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

  We absolutely loved this house. It is a perfect location to the beach and many other popular areas. We stayed with our 4 children, and the setup was perfect for a family. The kitchen is beautiful as well as the rest of the house. Very pretty decor. We went for spring break, but the house was a perfect distance from the "spring breakers" and close enough to everything else that we wanted to visit. Pier park is 5 minutes away and has a lot of activities for the entire family, as well as very reasonable priced dinners. We will definitely be back many times in the upcoming summer.

  Traveler review for this vacation rental (194562) 5/5 WOW - What a Christmas Vacation! Happy in Laguna Beach Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. Date Submitted: January 05, 2009 Date of Stay: December 2008 We rented Blue Waters for the week of Christmas so four generations of family could spend the holiday together. The house was perfect! With parents who are 84 and 86, the elevator made it possible for them to be part of the holiday. Debbie Carnegie has done a wonderful job making the rental feel like home. We had everything we needed to enjoy our time together. The property was extremely clean and well maintained. For anyone who is considering Blue Waters - you can't do better! The beach was less than a block away with beach access right there. Pier Park is less than 5 minutes away with great restaurants and shopping. Three grocery stores are within 10 minutes. And, don't miss the wonderful donut shop right down the street on Front Beach Road! Donuts better than Krispy Kreme! I would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a good time at the quiet end of the Beach!   We rented Blue Waters for the week of Christmas so four generations of family could spend the holiday together. The house was perfect!   WOW! What a great place this was to spend our vacation! This home has it all, and all of it is brand new. This was an ideal spot for three families to share (two king suites and a queen room with bunk room)-- we had lots of room to spread out in living/dining/kitchen areas, with a separate area for the kids to watch tv and play games. The bedrooms were large for our private time. The short walk to the beach was eased by owner's provision of cart to carry chairs, ice chest, etc. Close enough to PCB for fun, yet on quiet West end of beach -- light crowds even during peak season. And...there is a home-made donut shop less than 1/2 mile down Front Beach road with to-die-for donuts!!! Worth every penny of our vacation dollar, and we want to go back again!
