i had so much fun with my family here. The views were amazing and the house was amazing. it was just nice to go somewhere where you feel like you can relax. It was spotless and felt like home. We have a pretty big family and it was great to be in one place without feeling cramped. Already have this place booked for next year.

I stayed at this home for over a week. I spent the first 4 nights with my wife, children, and my parents. I spent the last 4 nights with several other couples for an adult weekend. This home was great for both. The views are great and the home is extremely spacious. My children had their own room, with a separate kid's room with lots of toys, children's movies, and a loft area that was pretty neat. I stayed in the master with an incredible master bathroom. Master bath had a huge walk in closet(and crib), jacuzzi tub, heated floors, and a stand alone shower. It was perfect for my wife and I. This home is about a 10 minute drive from downtown Waynesville, which is one of our favorite mountain towns. Very convenient. Our favorite part of the home is the recreational area on the bottom floor. There is a foosball table, and stand up shuffleboard game, along with a large TV, DVD/VCR, and surround sound. This is where we spent most of our time at the home, watching basketball and movies. Another plus is the mother-in-law suite on the left side of the home. There is a separate bedroom, that has its own bath, and a third living area along with its own kitchen area. This was perfect for my parents, as they were completely separated from the rest of the house, if needed. Very large home on a large piece of land minutes from Waynesville. Had a great week, thanks.

Our large family get-a-way included 4 generations of family members ranging in age from 2yrs to 87!! 17 in all. We found The Myers Mountain Home to offer elegance, beauty, comfort, convenience, and a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere. The home far exceeded our expectations with its spaciousness, ideal floor plan, amenities and appearance. Our children and grandchildren often talk about the wonderful time they enjoyed in the mountains of NC.The children's bedroom complete with toys, TV, movies, books, and board games adjoined the huge rec room with games for all ages, a huge entertainment center and large, comfortable furniture. The library was delightful with loads of helpful information about nearby attractions, things to do,places to shop,eat,etc...We especially enjoyed a musical at a nearby playhouse, fishing, snow tubing, hiking, shopping and just being together. I have recommended this property to friends and family, and we are making plans to return soon!

This is a beautiful home in a remote location. It is more like 45 mintues from Asheville. For the price there were mutiple issues under the surface. (broken drawers, couch sleeper missing hardware, rollaway bed was a joke...leaky dishwasher, rotted deck...much was roped off) The hot tub was filthy and the pond was stagnant. Seemed many items we touched were broke..Not well maintained. The kitchen cabinets were disorganize and the pots and pans appeared to be hand me downs. The silver ware was dirty. I couldn't recommend the beautiful views for the dysfunctionalty of the house. Very disappointing experience. Upon notice to the management team...they owned nothing. Really amazing experience.
Owner response:We must object to this review for a few simple reasons. This group broke several items at the home including the dryer and we were forced to charge their security deposit for the damages. The daughter threatened to leave us a bad review to get back at us. I have the email and can forward it to anyone that would like to see their threat. Upon departure they made note of a few items, but nothing to the level of displeasure they are trying to post to damage our properties reputation on this site. Just to address her comments. No mention of any broken drawers and the home is inpsected after every departure. Couch sleeper is an older unit and not included in any number for bedding. The rollaway is also a spare bed not included in any sleeping number. The dishwasher was inspected after departure and no leaks were detected. One spot on the rail was repaired recently. The pond is merely on the property, elevated on the side of a mountain and Western North Carolina has been in drought conditions for the last few years. Until there is a snow fall there is no way to feed the stream above the pond. The hot tub is outdoors and no mention of any issue with the hot tub being clean or dirty was ever mentioned by this group. We clearly have instructions for use of the home and if any issues are detected they have several numbers to call upon check in. Unfortunately these guests damaged our property and lost their security deposit because they failed to use the property responsibly and now that they were charged for the damage they are trying to hurt our properties reputation by making a bad review. I disagree with this group using this format to try and damage our property after they failed to live up to their end of the contract. I would ask that VRBO neither allow this post or my response. I have documenation of the damage and the invoices from the 3rd party repair groups as well as the emails outlining how she would respond. I would ask that VRBO act in a manor to allow me to show why we charged them and then not allow this post. Thank you Myers Family

We visited this property with our smallgroup for a weekend retreat. Unfortunately we were dissapointed when we arrived. The house is dated and in need of basic maintenance and repair. Out of the 6 fireplaces, only 2 worked. The plumbing in one bathroom did not work as well as the drain in several others. We were very excited about using the indoor jacuzzi, but upon arriving, found it did not work as well. Many lightbulbs were out, there is an inoperable telescope in the living room that was pictured on the website as well. Waynesville is a beautiful town and we enjoyed our stay despite the inaccurate description of the home. The view is beautiful and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and dishes and cookware. We could not get up the driveway due to ice and snow and were not told by the owner that if snow was on the property, a 4wd would be necessary to get to the home. We did have to shuttle luggage and couples to the home in 1 vehicle after numerous, dangerous attempts to get up the driveway. Back deck looked beautiful in the pictures, and there is a grill, but we were not able to access either due to snow not being removed. The fire pit was also lovely but we had to find our own firewood before using. The owner also did not get our deposit back to us until after 30 days as stated in the contract.

Our stay at the Myers Mountain home was in a word... AWESOME!! The house was so much more than what we expected. Every room was beautiful. The views of the mountains were breathtaking. Our group enjoyed the game room- pool, shuffleboard, movies, etc. The hot tub and firepit were hits as well. We have rented housing for our group before (17-20, usually) and this was the first time that we all had a bed to sleep in! I would recommend this home to anyone who wants to get away from it all, yet still wants to be close enough to head out for some fun! Thanks again for a great stay!!

My family went up for a week at this incredible mountain house. I took my family, parents and children for the first half of the week and invited a group of friends for the second half. It was perfect for both occassions. The home was huge and had plenty of bedrooms for everyone, several living areas, and two kitchens. My children enjoyed the home as it was very kid friendly with a room especially for children. It had two loft twin beds, lots of toys, and a tv/vcr with lots of children's movies to watch. They also enjoyed the pool table, foosball table, and the shuffleboard on the bottom floor. The kitchens were very large and well equipped. There was also a large gas grill on the porch. With the size of the home, there was ample space to put the kids down and still enjoy the recreational room or a fireplace. Not to mention the pond-side hot tub. Located only 10 minutes(or less) from Main Street Waynesville, it was easy to run down to go shopping, get something to eat, or grab a drink. Loved the home, the property, and the location. I will definitely be going back and hate to think I will ever stay anywhere else in Waynesville.

Our experience was wonderful at the Myers Mountain Home. The game room is awesome with lots of space and a shuffle board table. The views while sitting in the hot tub are very relaxing. The view of Cold mountain is breathtaking and the property is secluded with only the cows in the distance. The home itself is very luxurious with tons of room. I highly recommend this rental.
