Wonderful family and friend time.
Wonderful family and friend time.
This home was awesome in everyway. We had a wonderful time. It was very clean and roomie. The view is outstanding. Enjoyed the decks and the water was so clear and clean. Drive is steep but we handled ok. We enjoyed the cove being so calm and little to no boat traffic. Which was great for floating and swimming. The owner was easy to work with and very nice. Glad to meet him face to face. Very relaxing time. My granddaughter and her friend enjoyed fishing and catching frogs and lizards. I will recommend this home to my friends. Great family and friend memories.

Had a great time!
Had a great time!
The house is exactly like the photos, beautiful, clean, and very well kept. This is a very remote/private location which was also very nice. We stayed in the first week of June 2013 and the water was very clear. It was nice being out of the main lake traffic. Swimming off the dock was a big hit. The fishing was ok, may have been better if we had less rain. Fish were constantly jumping though. I would definitely recommend. If you plan on staying here a couple things to note. The driveway is VERY steep. 4x4 is your best bet. We were told about this- take it seriously. I drove a front wheel drive Chevy Equinox and was not as confident as I wanted to be on the steep inclines. You will not have any internet access. We even brought our Verizon Hotspot and had no luck. Not that big of a deal, but I know a lot of people like to post pictures through social media these days, as well as stream movies/music - maintain some type of connectivity if possible. Also, I would have like to have known about the no paper in the toilet issue beforehand. Hopefully that gets resolved soon because it's just something you don't want to have to deal with on vacation. Driving the trash to the dump was also something less than desireable. Have stayed on Norris Lake at another spot and didn't have to worry about that. Would have given 5 stars without the toilet and trash issues. All in all though, this place was fantastic. Thank you for a great place to stay!

Owner response: Than you for your review. We were please to hear that you liked the house and the location on our secluded lagoon. I do understand the concerns about the trash and septic issues. As you could see our home sits in a very secluded area with no trash pick up. The area we are in has no trash pick up and all the residents are required to transport there trash to the local trash area. For homes with small or restricted septic systems it is a common practice to place as little paper as possible in that system but you make a good point. We hope to see you again next. Thank you.
