My husband and I just returned from visiting Edisto and stayed in this cozy cottage. The owners were great-helpful, accommodating, and available by email and phone. Everything in the cottage was as advertised-with the exception of the TVs which have been changed to large flat screens. The area was lovely and quiet which was just what we needed. We recommend the Waterfront restaurant-good food and reasonable prices-even for all-you-can- eat oysters! My husband played golf twice at the resort course, met some nice folks out on the course, the 10th green is especially pretty. We rode the bikes all around the island. The beach is in walking distance using the resort's back gate. We will definitely return to Edisto and hope to bring our children once the weather warms up a bit!

My sister and I rented the cottage 1st week in August, 2011. Great location, close to beach and creek side of island. You could walk or ride the bikes where ever you wanted to go... We are more of the party types - let's find something fun to get into kind of people. We meet alot of locals on the island and they all were great people - the owners of Edisto Watersports - Dillard and Lynsey make the island adventures fun... make sure you go by or call them for kayaking, charters of all sorts. There were two great bars located next to the dock that was walking distance and we had a blast... Also, check out Whaler's - good hangout.... We will be returning as soon as time let us.... Edisto is the best kept secret ... We ended up here by mistake, because a reality scewed up our accomodations in Top Sail... Glad they did..... Best mistake ever.... Great time had by all..... 2 Crzy Va Women....

The cottage was exactly as advertised, and the owners were more than helpful. The cottage was the perfect size for my wife, my nineteen-month old daughter, and me. The bathroom is spacious, the kitchen perfect, and the bedroom a bit small, but this is a cozy getaway. It is close to everything, and the trip to the beach is five minutes by car. I believe that this property is exactly what we were looking for. I highly recommend the newly revamped Pavillion Restaurant. We ate there and had a great experience. The owners of Buck's Pizza were also awesome. We had an order messed up, and they offered us another meal later in the week for free. We were ready to return before we even left.

Great property. Great rate. Perfectly as advertised. Nice to have the bikes. We rode to the beach and local restaurants. Plenty of history locally, as well as in Charleston. Beach and everything around it is well kept away from commercialization. Although we traveled without kids, I would highly recommend the area for families. Cottage has everything, including an oversized air conditioner, which you WILL need in the summer. Restaurants are good, but I recommend locally grown and caught food cooked on the grille.

Our Perfect Getaway
Our Perfect Getaway
My wife and I stayed in April 2010. The cottage has a charming decor (watercolors by the owner are a nice touch), comfortable and attractive furniture, and all the kitchen appointments you'll need. Snuggled amongst the palms, adjacent to the golf course, and while there are other people around there is also a feel of quiet isolation. The owners are very friendly and accomodating. Bicycles are provided as well. Edisto Island has an abundance of beautiful nature sites and a refreshing non-commercial setting. We'll be back soon!

We just got back from staying at the cottage for a weekend get away. It was just what we needed! The location was absolutely perfect since my husband is an avid golfer and we enjoyed watching the golfers out on the back deck with coffee in the early morning. The cottage had everything we needed and then some. It's decor was very cute and it was just a comfortable place to stay. I hope to be able to go back soon for another weekend of R&R...I think we found the perfect vacation place!

We stayed at this cottage in August 2010 and it was perfect for us! It had everything we needed, and the location was great. The decor was very nice, the furniture was comfortable and it had all the modern appliances- dishwasher, washer, dryer. Even though it isn't beach front, we drove our car and parked at the beach access (one located every block) and only had to walk a few feet to the ocean. We also enjoyed riding the bikes that were provided. The cottage is nestled among palm trees and pine trees and was very quiet even though we had lots of people around. There also is a swimming pool and recreation area nearby that you can pay to go to. We enjoyed our visit so much and hope to come back again soon!

About the owner: My husband and I have been on the vrbo site since it's beginning 12 years ago. We live on Edisto about 20 minutes from the cottage. We are here if you have any questions or have any problems, we are available to help. Our goal is to insure your happiness while staying in our cottage.
Why the Owner Chose Edisto Beach:
The Atlantic Ocean, The Sound, & Big Bay Creek are all within a half mile of the cottage. You will find great restaurants like Grover's, Whaley's and Po' Pig Bo-B-Que all within a few miles. The fresh seafood market sit's on the shrimp boat's dock one block away and just around the corner is the Edisto Marina. It's a great place for watching the sunset and has live music on weekends.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
Beach bikes are provided and the walking/biking trail that winds itself through the back yards of beach houses, along the marsh, across the causeway to the Interpreter Center is paradise.
