Ballasalla is in the south of the island near Castletown. This small village is close to Ronaldsway Airport, built between Ballasalla and Castletown. Named after the medieval King Reginald of Mann by the Norse who called the location 'The Port of Reginald', Ronaldsway. The Village is well serviced with a Mini Market, Shop and Post Office, a Store, Pub, Bank, Garage and Florist all within a maximum of 5 minutes walk from the apartments.
The apartments are approximately 8 minutes walk from or to the airport. Buses run through the Airport to Douglas via Ballasalla approximately every 20 minutes.
If driving Ballasalla, is near Castletown along the A5 (Douglas Road).
The Public transport system servicing Ballasalla is probably the best on the Island. Ballasalla can be reached by the following bus routes: 1, 1C, 2, 8, 11, 12. Travelling from Douglas, Port Erin, Port St Mary and Peel. The bus stops are almost directly outside of the apartments.
Why not try the historical Steam Railway. The train station is about 4 minutes walk from the apartments. Ballasalla can be reached on the Steam Railway from Douglas going to Port Erin or by taking the Port Erin train going to Douglas.
Ballasalla holds close ties with Castletown and is still remembered for monks and strawberries with cream. The village named from Gaelic meaning 'Place of the Willow Trees' was mainly built from the ruins of Rushen Abbey. A medieval Cistercian founded in the 1100's and dissolved in the 1500's.

Although just 33 miles long by 13 wide, the Island has nine golf courses (eight 18-hole ones and a nine-holes) and a population of 80,000, there's a good chance that you won't be facing long queues, whichever course you choose.
Even if you're staying only a few days you'll have the opportunity to visit a number of different golf clubs - no one course is much more than 45 minutes by car from any other.
