This was my family's first time staying at chalet. It far exceeded our expectations in every category. It was extremely clean and comfortable and gave our 22 month old son a lot of room to play both indoors and outdoors. The main floor deck is a wonderful as it has solid side panles instead of slatting to protect our son while he was on the deck! The location can't be beat! Easy access to anywhere in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, the National Park, and even Cades Cove. A short drive up or down the mountain takes you to restaurants, shopping , groceries, or major attractions (Ripleys aquarium, Ober Gatlinburg). The chalet seems to be placed in the middle of it all! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay! We are already in the process of planning a return trip for the fall.

My husband, son, 2 grandaughters and myself stayed on 9-15 thur 9-19 2010. Your home was very lovely and comfortable. All the little extras made you feel like you were in your own home. The area is very quite and we had a nice view from the back. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking items.The only thing we could not get the dvd player to work in the living room (it make have been just us). From September 1 through 14, this was a wonderful place to conclude a pastoral sabbatical summer. It was private for quiet time, reading and writing. It was accessible to the National Park for exploring and hiking. It was thoroughly furnished and comfortable. In the future, this will definitely be a place for me to use again in order to get away for respite and renewal. Many thanks to the owners for keeping the place well maintained, clean and equipped.

My family had a wonderful time at this chalet. It was a great size for our needs. The surrounding scenery is wonderful as well. The pool was a hit with the kids, and was never crowded, which was great. A fantastic place to stay!

This cottage was much nicer than I anticipated. It was also very clean and well maintained. The layout was good for my trip with wife,small son,and my parents. It was very quiet and private,with a nice deck with hot tub.

Wonderful chalet!

This chalet is everything you could ask for. It is well-appointed and just beautiful! The chalet is warm and welcoming, very clean and well-maintained. The chalet community is small so the pool was never crowded--in fact we had the pool all to ourselves when we went swimming! We liked having a washer and dryer in the chalet to use, along with the hot tub and two decks to see the mountain views! The location is perfect too. Just a 5-7 minute drive down the curvy mountain road and you pop out right on the Gatlinburg strip. It was just a 10 minute drive to Pigeon Forge. We couldn't have asked for a better place or location to stay. The owners were very nice to work with and very quick to respond to any questions I had. I would highly recommend this home to anyone wanting a quiet and beautiful place to stay. We can't wait to go back!!!

We had a great time. The chalet was perfect for the four of us. On the last day before our departure we hiked to Rainbow Falls and packed in a lunch to enjoy there. As we started hiking back it began to snow. When we return to the chalet we put our gourmet meal (stuffed pork loin) in the oven to cook while we enjoyed the hot tub as the large snow flakes covered the ground and blew in upon us; an incredible end to an incredible day!!! Thanks !!!

WOW!! What a wonderful home. The pictures and description online do not do your home justice. The views were breathtaking. The home was wonderfully decorated and the location was perfect. Your chalet is absolutely gorgeous, beautifully furnished and decorated. The kitchen is well stocked..the beds were very comfy!! We used the highchair and pack n play..which was a plus!! The condo was just as described by the owner. It was beautiful, comfortable, lovely views. We also felt that this was a home built for the owners, not just as a rental. We also like the location, up the mountain, with exits that lead to an end of Gatlinberg with good restaurants, and less traffic than the heart of downtown Gatlinberg. Essentially, we could avoid the crush if we felt like it, or we could take another route which lead us directly to the middle of downtown. Leitha, We just returned from staying in your lovely chalet. We stayed from 6/17-06 to 6-24-06. It was a girl's trip for my daughter, neice, good friend,and myself. We were so surprised when we walked into it. Pictures here do not do it justice. It was homey, warm, cozy, comfortable, etc, etc. Words don't do it either. You have to experience it yourself to enjoy its comfort. We found it to be very convenient to all the things we like to do. We prefer the backroads of the Smokies so that we can enjoy the real beauty of the mtns. We rented a jeep in Gatlinburg for 2 days and explored the whole area and Cherokee as well. The layout of the cabin fit all our needs. Downstairs was cooler for 2 of us who love it to be cold. Upstairs was a little warmer for the 2 that didn't like it quite as chilly. The computer w/Internet Service was great as we were able to communicate with family back home. The hot tub called our names each & every night after days of exploring. We will definitely be back to stay at your chalet. You and your Beautiful Cottage Gardens Chalet get a 40 Star Rating from us. (10 from each of us) We also had 2 deer come to visit us one afternoon. That just added to the beauty of this Chalet. Just to know that we were only maybe 5 -10 minutes from either downtown Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge & see these beautiful creatures was awesome. Thanks for sharing your Chalet with us. After going thru 2 Hurricanes & the murder of one of our ladies's mom, this was a truly relaxing place to unwind and mend. Just want to let you know how pleased we were with your chalet. My husband and I had a wonderful, restful weekend away! We've rented many different cabins in the past, but none as nice as yours! We were pleasantly surprised to find the little things that were not included in other places -- extra toilet paper, paper towels, coffee filters, even a starter supply of coffee and laundry detergent! How thoughtful of you! Access to the chalet was great -- even with the sleet and snow on the morning we left! We WILL return! We just spent a wonderful week in your mountain retreat. We found nothing lacking to make our stay perfect. We have been coming to the Smokies since 1970 for our spring break and my family rated your home as the very best! As we are hikers we found the location so convenient to the park. A big plus was the hot tub after an eight mile hike - no sore muscles. The view of Mt LeConte was a special treat for us as we have hiked there many times. We certainly plan to make return visits. Comment Text: The Berry family has been visiting the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area for 31 years. This has been the first trip during the Thanksgiving holidays. What a beautiful sight to walk in and see this lovely chalet decorated with Christmas trees and the mantle lit up with lights too! We've all gotten in the Chirstmas spirit early this year. Our thoughts echo those of the many who have stayed here - the splendor of the view, the tastefully decorated home, all the amenities complete with a computer make this a truly wonderful vacation home. The lights in the towns and the Christmas shows all add to the joy of the season. How fortunate we were to see a full moon. The best view was at the overlook off the Gatlinburg by-pass. It was truly awesome! We are all returning home feeling rested and renewed from our time spent here. Was it ever needed. We thank God for allowing us this opportunity to once again feel closer to Him through His magnificant handiwork. Jonathan did enjoy the new sleeper sofa and said it was the best seat in the house. He enjoyed the video/nintendo games too! The location although on top of the mountain was easily accessible. We felt we were so close to downtown Gatlinburg, O'ber Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge via the Gatlinburg By-Pass. I'd love to be here in the Spring when all the blooms are just beginning - perhaps in a couple of years. Thanks again for such a wonderful home away from home. We highly recommend this lovely Chalet 970 Cottage Gardens to anyone seeking a truly exceptional vacation home.

We have stayed at this chalet twice. We loved it so much the first time, we had to come back again. It is fully stocked with everthing you should need for a short getaway or a long vacation. The views are tremendous, esp for the hot tub. Great gas fireplace, and it even has a computer. I PROMISE, YOU WILL LOVE IT!

Jeff & Leitha, We had been looking forward to the long weekend of January 16th for quite some time. We took all the food we needed hoping the chalet would be equipped with everything we needed for a cozy weekend. We were pleasantly surprised....This is the closest thing to "home away from home" we have experienced. We had a fantastic time even though we didn't leave the chalet from Friday nite until we left Monday morning. I would highly recommend your home to anyone looking for a special getaway. Dear Leitha, We enjoyed SO MUCH our visit to your mountain home. First, the pictures don't do justice to the home as well as not being able to capture the "warm" feeling you experience when you enter the front door. Living near the Smokys, I have stayed in many chalets and cabins, but none would compare to the comforts offered in your home!!! Our trip was for the "girls" but I would also recommend the chalet as a romantic get-a-way. Thank you so much for providing and sharing such a lovely retreat in the mountains!!! WE will return!! What a wonderful place to stay. Great view, beautifully decorated, and the renters are great to work with. Chalet has many extra's. We will definately return. 12/1/03 Stayed Thanksgiving.

My family had a wonderful time during our stay the beginning of August. The addition of the computer was a big hit with the entire family. They also loved the addition of the DVD player. The chalet is so well kept and you do an excellent job trying to make our stay enjoyable for all members of the family. The tranquillity of staying up on top of the mountain is wonderful. The location of Cottage garden right off the By-Pass makes it extremely easy to get to.

We have been going to Gatlinburg for years as a quick getaway spot. Because of that, we've stayed at just about every spot in town - By far Leitha & Jeff's house is the number one place to spend our time there!! The pictures simply do not do this house the justice it deserves. While being secluded & quiet, it's also so close to town - it took us less than 5 minutes to get to Texas Roadhouse on a FRIDAY NIGHT!! Anyone who's stayed in Gatlinburg on a weekend knows that this is almost an impossibility! Clean, convenient & charming - This home offers everything & MORE that we look for away from home. You also could not ask for nicer or more personal planning & welcome than we received. The Butler's really have won our hearts & we intend to return again & again! Thank you so much for your time Leitha!! We loved it!!

Leitha, We enjoyed your chalet so much! It was just the ticket for our Smokie Mountain retreat. Our oldest son is really interested in the Appalachia Trail and he and his dad hiked up there one day and we did lots of waterfall hikes. Also whitewater rafted. Thanks for providing such a beautiful (clean) spot.
