My family and I rented this wonderful home for a week at the end of August. Everything was so clean, so well kept, such a lovely and convenient location. It was adjacent to a beautiful resort and very quiet. We particularly enjoyed the native chickens running around here and there on the golf course. Walking distance to beach. Just perfect...we hope to return alot.

Wonderful home, flooded in

When we first arrived, the sun was shining and the Plumeria could be smelled everywhere we went...Then the rain hit and flooded the whole island out-worst storm in decades. We didn't get to go swimming and the idea of getting a tan was definitely laughable. We were apologized to by the locals (the nicest people on Earth) repeatedly for the incredibly bad weather. We were told it was rare. All that being said, we may give Hawaii another try. Now about the house, it was great! Very nice, accommodating house and close to a private beach-which was the nicest beach during the stormy weather. It was also the calmest beach by far. During winter, just about all the beaches can either be very rough, rocky, or have rip tides. Access to this beach is through the Hanalei Bay resort, down a very pretty path. The house had all the amenities we could have asked for-the kitchen was large and had everything, from spices to an espresso maker. The master bath has an amazing 2 headed shower and jetted tub. The entire house is just covered in windows with wonderful views. Each room had it's own bathroom, so we were never on top of each other. We could not have chosen a better house. Bob, a neighbor down the road, even called to check on us during the storm. The only drawback is that there isn't much to do in Princeville-especially if you are trapped there due to flooding. They do have a nice market close by which was a life saver. For dining, I would suggest Bouchons in Hanalei as well as Kalipso's. Hanalei is only a 5-10 minute drive from the house. It has a very nice shopping area -maybe the best on the island for souvenirs. In Lihue, Dukes is a must-incredible food, atmosphere, and service. That was our last stop before going to the airport since it is so close. Plus, it is on a very pretty little beach.

this house was fabulous. We had two families with toddlers and two grandmas. The house was big enough that we could have our own space but still gather together. It was clean and neat and had a lot of cool little custom items. The house was well stocked with everything that you might need to go to the beach; coolers, towels, mats, chairs, snorkel/masks/fins, and beach toys for the kids. There was even a pack-N-Play for the little one and a high chair. The house was cool and breezy. The only down-side was the early morning wake-up from the lawn mowers and other golf course maintenance folks who seem to start before dawn. But that got us up early for the day. The owner was fabulous communicating both by phone and email and made it a very easy choice. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The house was exactly as described and was wonderful. We had two families with toddlers and two grandmas. Everyone had their own room and there was even a playpen and a high chair for the little ones. Not to mention all the beach toys and other beach equipment that was available. The kitchen was fabulous and huge we cooked most of our meals and even packed lunches, the Foodland was just down the road. Definitely get the rewards card, it will save you a bundle. The grapefruit tree in the back yard was delicious. The only down-side was the early morning mowing and leaf blowing for the golf course which is literally out the back door. The morning after we arrived they started before dawn. Princeville was very nice and there was plenty of places to walk to and the bikes in the garage also came in handy. But one of the best parts was that the owner Deane was very available to talk to and got back to me with all my questions. It would have been nice to have a pool but the house size and comfort made up for it. We had a great time.

An Awesome Family Stay on Kauai

We stayed here from Christmas, 2011 through most of January, 2012. We had a wonderful experience in this home. We filled all 4 bedrooms plus the futon upstairs with family from all over the country who met us here for the holidays. The kitchen was well suited to prepare large holiday meals and we enjoyed the 2 BBQs outside. The upstairs deck overlooking the golf course was an awesome spot to sit outside and enjoy the scenery and play board games. My wife used the table on the deck to sort the shells she picked on the beaches during the day. We also used much of the equipment in the garage including the golf clubs, fins, beach chairs, portable grill, coolers, and bikes. We walked to the beach on Hanalei Bay below the St. Regis in a few minutes from the house. Anini Beach takes 30-40 minutes to walk but is well worth it. Even watching golfers play the 2nd hole of the world-famous Makai Club Golf Course just outside our window was fun. The wireless internet was important to us and it worked flawlessly. The property manager checked on us frequently to make sure we were comfortable and that we had no issues. The Homeaway listing was honest and we had no complaints. You can’t beat the value of this home and it will be my first choice for any future Hawaii stays where we need more than 2 bedrooms. If you decide to stay here, you won't be disappointed!

This was our 4th time renting different houses on the north side of Kaua'i and by far our best experience to date. The house was clean and had lots of space which made it very easy to totally take advantage of our family vacation. We got a lot of use out of the boogie boards, snorkel gear and sand castle play toys. I think I dug half way to China a couple times with our daughter. :)~~~ The over all rental experience was smooth and professional. If you are looking for a great rental home for your vacation This one tops our list. Thank you! The McCausland family

We came back for a second time to Kauai. We have rented this house both times and would rent from them again. The house is exactly like the pictures and was perfect for our family. It was clean on our arrival and we felt at home right away. We were all able to mingle in the kitchen / family room and for those that grew tired of noise there was space for them to "Get away". You can't beat the price. We looked at and have rented another house that is just down the road from this one for two times and three times the money. Deane is great to work with and always replies quickly. You are centrally located to everything in Princeville. Don't miss Queens Bath that is just a few blocks away. Beautiful! We loved having Hideaway Beach just a short little walk from the house. We are all in love with Hanalei and the beach down there. Don't miss the Bubba's milkshakes or the Panini sandwiches in the shop next door. Getting up early is worth it to go shell hunting. We have stayed in Hawaii for 10 days both times and it just isn't long enough. (two different islands.) I can guarantee if we come back again, which we will, we will be renting this house.

I rented this fabulous house to celebrate my 50th birthday with friends. Everything about this house and the island of kauai exceeded our expectations. The house was a home away from home and certainly enhanced our visit. We are planning our next trip!!!!

We just finished a fabulous vacation at this home. The owners have thoughtfully provided everything you could need to make you feel at home! There were 10 people in our party from 7 months old to 86 years old and the house met everyone's needs. You will definitely get more than your money's worth staying at this home. It is a great place for visiting Kauai with a large family and a small budget! Deane was so helpful with making the home arrangements as well. We will definitely stay at the house again when we return to Kauai! Thank you!

Came here to unwind and found this Pearl of Princeville a delighhtful stay. From the 2 story home with great views, BBQ and everything a family needs from snorkle gear, beach towels, and ice cooler for the beach we were in the right location. ******* It was clean on our arrival and was easy to maintain. The washer and dryer come in handy. We would stay here again and again. ****** The golf course Prince is a treat and one of a kind and a treat to Poipu is highly recommended . Beaches are both fun and just a short driver or a long walk from the front door. ****** Bubba burger is perfect and shave ice is now on our radar as something to take the edge off. ******* We went on the Zip & Drip and Smith Family Lua and would say they are worth the price. Kappa'a and the falls should not be missed. ******* Yes we will be back
