This villa, reminiscent of the traditional Mexican haciendas, is built on a 10 acre compound. In addition to its six bedrooms spread out through four floors, the house has inviting living, dining and recreation areas, as well as a beautiful outdoor patio, with dining for 12 or more persons. In addition to mountain views, the villa is conveniently located to Tepoztlan (five minutes), Cuernavaca (20 minutes) and Mexico City (60 minutes).
The area's craggy mountains and jagged cliffs are as spectacular as those in Sedona, Arizona, but Tepoztlan, at a higher altitude and significantly greener, boasts moderate weather throughout the year. It is officially recognized as one of Mexico's magical areas. Master yoga instructors abound in the area.
Outdoor activities are splendid, including swimming, bird watching, hiking, mountain biking, sightseeing and golfing at nearby courses. Major archaeological sites are close by.
Relax and pamper yourself in this spacious and comfortable home.
Nearby Tepoztlan, with cobblestone streets and the glow of a traditional Mexican town, is one of a handful of Mexican localities officially recognized as a Pueblo Magico (Magical Town). It features a traditional Mexican market. Fine traditional and nouveau Mexican fare is available at local restaurants. A former convent converted to a museum offers a unique glimpse of the colonial past. Cuernavaca, the city of eternal Spring, has world-class restaurants waiting to serve you in elegance either indoors or al fresco. In addition to Cuernavaca, Tepoztlan and Mexico City, other areas of historic importance within a two-hour drive from Villa San Clementito, include Taxco, Xochicalco, Malinalco and Puebla.

What a brilliant time we had at both the Haciendas...basically we had the wedding (and week) of our dreams...it was PERFECT! Honestly, our guests (from Australia & UK) were speechless and have had the most incredible & memorable experience. The swimming pools, tennis court and hammocks were always in use and the food and service of the staff was brillaint. The owner, Pattie Hogan is ...The hostess with the most ..tesst and very helpful!!! I hope everyone gets to experience this magical, Mexican paradise in Tepoztlan.Did you find this review helpful? We stayed last November at Clemente Jacques for a week to celebrate our wedding. Our stay was above our expectations, we were able to enjoy our stay with no pressure from third parties, all guests were able to enjoy themselves, and we really felt at home. During our stay we wanted to cook by ourselves, so we didn’t require staff for this, but they were extremely helpful to clean up and also to keep everything in order. Pattie, was at all times available for questions and she gave us her undivided support so our wedding and our stay was a complete success. Furthermore, we enjoyed as much as we could the tennis court and the pool. There was only drawback during the wedding but this was not at the Hacienda’s fault: for the wedding we requested to have the mariachi services from a group called Tigrillos de Mexico, they arrived more than an hour later with a certain attitude - so be careful when selecting your suppliers there. We do not recommend this group in any way. As for Clemente Jacques and to summarize: excellent place to relax and spend time with family and friends. We definitely have in mind to come back.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We have chosen Hacienda San Clemente Jacques as our winter getaway at least 5 or 6 times not because it is in a perfect climate zone, which it is, but because it is just so darn beautiful and we love staying there and catching up with Pattie, Jorge and staff. The location, minutes from town, is so peaceful with a view of the mountains to the left and valley directly below...spectacular. Morning coffee and bird watching from the terrace, daily tennis (and butterfly spotting) then a refreshing swim became our routine. Our friend's daughter was married at SCJ in the private chapel on the property. The hacienda housed the immediate family and guests found accomodations throughout Tepoztlan and the area. Even though the house was full there was still oodles of room to get lost in. At night, overlooking the twinkling lights of the town below the patio was a wonderfully intimate outdoor dining and dancing venue strung with fairy lights. A ground level bedroom suite opens onto the large patio for those who have difficulty with stairs. Choosing one of the bedrooms on the upper floors is difficult as they all have amazing views and tasteful decors. But what really makes San Clemente Jacques unique is the choice you have of being TOTALLY catered to or being left to your own devices. Everything from meals to shopping can be taken care of expertly by Felipe, Theresa, Francisco and Ladiana or you can practice your Spanish and shopping skills to your hearts content in the town market, one of our favourite things to do. Pattie is so conscientious about making sure you have everything you need from solving tech issues to getting you hooked up with an excellent accupuncturist or yoga instructor. Felipe takes care of the grounds and his creative touches are evident throughout, take his walking path in and around the entire property will keep you in shape. Nothing has been forgotten in the effort to make your stay memorable. In all the times we have been to Tepoztlan and SCJ there has never been a moment when we felt unsafe or threatened on any way. We so look forward to our next stay at the hacienda. Elaine Wilson and Ted Michener, St Andrews, New Brunswick, Canada Sent from my iPadDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Without a doubt Hacienda Clemente Jacques remains one of our family's most favourite destinations. There are so many reasons we love coming to this unique setting. It is isn't just the spectacular views one encounters around every corner, or the numerous quiet places where one can read, paint, write, meditate; or the wonderful patio where we have had so many fabulous meals; or the house itself which has ample space for all kinds of activities; or the tennis court surrounded by those stunning mountains. We have been loyal and enthusiastic visitors to Hacienda Clemente Jacques for many, many years, and what contributes so much to the total ambience of this place, is the superb staff who take such great care of guests. They are discreet but always attentive, offering excellent service, from delicious meals prepared by the team, to beautiful, imaginatively laid tables, always with vases of flowers in abundance. When we return, it is as if we are returning to a much loved second home.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We've stayed at Pattie's place many, many times over the years, and each visit is better than the last. Whether you are new to Mexico or a veteran, whether you need a place for off-site group work or a week to relax with good friends, San Clemente offers beautiful, comfortable installations and a staff and hostess that will go out of their way to accommodate you. Very highly recommended.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - the house is in the most wonderful location with uninterrupted views. It is full of Mexican character, charming and so tranquil - as soon as you arrive you instantly feel relaxed. The house staff are excellent, and can not do enough for you. There is a wealth of space to accommodate a large group without anybody feeling like they are "getting on top of each other". The view from the pool area is simply breathtaking and the courtyard, with its outside dining area creates a really special and enjoyable ambience for evening dining.Did you find this review helpful? I’ve been taking small groups to Villa Clemente Jacques in Tepoztlan, Mexico for three or more times in the past four to five years, and each time we have been greeted with warmth and welcoming souls by the owner, and the friendly staff that lives and works in their own house next to the Villa. The villa is open, with plenty of light, large rooms, flowing gardens everywhere, plenty of bathrooms, very clean, new beds in all bed rooms, clean and fresh linens, pool, tennis court, soccer playing field, outstanding views, walking and hiking trails are near by, and the villa even has a large beautiful chapel. The staff not only cleans and takes care of the villa, but can cook, and wash and iron clothes for a small extra fee. They are friendly and are there to serve you during your stay. I highly recommend Villa Clemente Jacques for families, and small groups. We are looking forward in visiting once again this fall. You will not be disappointed it’s truly a treasure of Tepoztlan. LuisRecommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with young children, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

I spent two weeks in the Hacienda with my bi-coastal, multi-generation family in March and it was amazing! I was a little worried about renting a house off the internet, but I am so lucky I stumbled onto this gem! This wonderful house surpassed all of our expectations. My family was seriously impressed by my find! Our days were spent gazing out at the valley, tramping around ruins, looking for birds, lounging by the wonderful pool and eating! Toddler to septuagenarian were all pleased! I recommend signing up for the cooks and leaving them to their own devices. Teresa and her crew are amazing and prepare gourmet Mexican food. They will do all of the shopping for you too and keep the fridge stocked with cold beer and pop. And Pattie will answer all of your questions! The bedrooms and bathrooms were wonderful, but the architectural highlight was the beautiful courtyard with multiple sitting and dining areas. Also, a great place for a serious pinata party! I can't recommend Hacienda Clemente Jacques strongly enough. My only worry is that if everyone finds out about it, it may not be available when I want to go next! It is really a very special place.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

I got married in Tepoztlan and my family wanted a home rental that could accommodate us all and be used for some family gatherings. Never could I have dreamt up a more perfect shangri-la! My mom's side of the family fit perfectly in the big house and my dad's perfectly in the smaller house. Each house also, curiously, perfectly suited each group. We used the chapel for a welcome family dinner which was magical and lovely - cooked by the staff. We used the patio of the big house for a rehearsal dinner where Pattie and the staff were more than accommodating, helping us set up and prepare the food. The kitchen is beyond stocked and we found everything we could possibly need in there! The smaller house was great for poolside chatting, reading and meditating - it felt very private even though it's just a few steps away. I could go on and on... the strongest points of this property are that, on one hand, the house and land is absolutely stunning, with great views of the valley, and with such a special feel. And on the other hand, the staff is truly amazing. They helped us organize meals, order cabs, bring masseurs and manicurists to the house, even bake a cake for my son's 1st birthday. Really anything that you can think of, they seem willing to help with, and were such nice people to be around. This includes Pattie, the owner, who we did not see a lot during our stay, but who was always checking in to make sure things were well, and who was a huge help with the pre-arrival organizing. I can't recommend this property enough. I don't plan on getting married again, but will find another excuse to gather there with a special group of people in the future. It is an intimate yet grand place and truly a dream home.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This property is simply amazing and the service that Tere, Francisco and Felipe provide to the guest is outstanding. I have visited San Clemente (and San Clementito) for more than three years and each and every time the scenery, the decoration, the food, etc., confirm the decision for me and my family (two little girls and our dog) to return again. Pattie has an exceptional taste for the decoration, the rooms are always neat and tidy the linens are pristine and the towels (bath and pool) are always perfectly clean and fluffy. If you want to be pampered and have a relax time, San Clemente is your only destination at Tepoztlan (10 minutes drive). Alejandro FriasDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Location
Owner info
Year Purchased: 1987
About the owner: I came to Mexico in 1976, intending to be here for two years, and I am still here. I have managed the first relocation company in Mexico for all this time, helping executives move their families to this wonderful country. We have used that same experience to provide a unique hospitality in Tepoztlan.
Why the Owner Chose Tepoztlan:
What could be more relaxing than waking up as the sun comes over these magical Tepoztlan mountains? From the first visit out here, as guests of the original adventuresome owner, Clemente M. Jacques, we knew it was where we wanted to visit often. When one day in 1987 he came to our home in Mexico City and said he wanted to sell and he wanted to sell to us, well, it took about 10 minutes of discussion to say 'yes!'
