Location: Moab, Utah, USA (1266 North Highway 191 - Moab Springs Ranch - Unit 5)

Accommodations:  Condominium, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2.5 Baths (Sleeps 6-8)

Unit Five at Moab Springs Ranch is an oasis amidst the red rocks of Moab. Located approximately one mile from downtown Moab and one mile from the trail head of Arches National Park, the apartment opens onto the well-established landscape of the North Lawn next to the historic Ranch House hosting the Desert Bistro, a 4 star restaurant. (For additional pictures check out the ClubUtah website.)

The natural spring water wading pools in the common area, referred to as The Meadow, are a delight. A conveniently located hot-tub sits just outside the back patio of Unit Five. A short walk from the condo through the Meadow provides access to a full size pool.

The unit has two bedrooms upstairs, each with its own bath, and sleeps six to eight people. Each bedroom opens onto a shared, covered balcony. The Master Bedroom has a queen bed. The Second Bedroom contains a queen bed and a very solid twin bunk bed.

Downstairs is a Great Room which opens through French doors onto a large patio with views of the stream and grassy areas and a working natural gas grill. The Great Room consists of a full kitchen, half-bathroom, dining and living area, a Vermont Castings natural-gas stove/fireplace, an island with stove/oven and breakfast counter. The living room couch also contains a comfortable foldout sofa-bed.

A nine-foot ceiling is spanned by a huge exposed beam recycled from the Great Salt Lake. A wide wall of windows renders this room bright and airy. There is an LCD TV with DVD deck and a small stereo with CD, Cassette player and IPOD hookup.

The Unit 5 entry way provides a 10 foot high carport covering two vehicles and will accommodate bikes and boats. A locking bike shed is just next to the carport.

Why the Owner Chose Moab

My family loves the red rocks of Moab. My wife and I came out to Moab in 2004 to do some riding and fell in love with the beautiful coutryside. We lucked out with the opportunity to purchase Unit 5 here at Moab Springs Ranch. We looked at other developments in the area but none came close to the Oasis at MSR; the natural spring, meadow, pool, friendly people, Desert Bistro restaurant and proximity to the town and national parks all helped make the decison that much simpler. We love sharing our place with both domestic and international travelers and hope you will consider an opportunity to experience it first hand.

Warmest Regards,
Brian Celardo

As the owner of Unit 5 at Moab Springs Ranch (MSR), it is my pleasure to welcome you to the finest Moab has to offer in luxury condos. A couple of our favorite things to do include: - Dinner at the Desert Bistro; located on the grounds at MSR, the food is 4 star, the service welcoming and the ambiance rustic and relaxing. In the summer the al fresco dining patio is open with views of beautiful red rock ridge lines adding to the overall experience. The Moab Brewery in town offer excellent food and delicious local brews with a hip local feeling of outdoor adventure. - Moab is becoming quite the destination for those interested in the "skinny" tire experience. Road bicycle riders from all over the country (about 750 of them) descended on Moab for the Lance Armstrong Live Strong charity ride in early March. Rides along the Colorado, through Arches National Park and through Dead Horse Point proved most enjoyable. - For the "fat” tire fans, the options are limitless; Moab is the mecca for mountain bikers. Slick Rock Trail is literally accessible out the back door of MSR. A mile up the road, you can catch the shuttle from Chile Peppers (I highly recommend their espresso) bike shop to the trail head at Porcupine Rim. For guided tours, Rim Tours offers single or multi day adventures to the White Rim Trail, The North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Canyonlands and others. - If rock climbing is your thing, a couple miles south along the Colorado directly off the Pot Ash road (about 3-4 miles from MSR), you will find bolted sport and trad climbing which also include bolted anchors for top roping. There are several adventure guide companies in town that can provide you with a great day of guided climbing. - A couple miles north along the Colorado directly on Route 128 at Big Bend you will find a large boulder field with established bouldering routes. - Jeep tours of the local red rock areas abound. The tours take you deep into the back country for heart pounding jeep experiences and beautiful views. - Guided river boat adventures are also available through several tour companies located in town. - If you are a hiker, well you've most definitely come to the right place. Arches national park, just 1 mile from MSR, provides world renowned views of the most interesting naturally occurring rock formations anywhere. Guide companies in town also offer rappelling, canyoneering and slot canyon experiences. - In the winter, you can hike the LaSalle Mountains for some back country downhill skiing/snowboarding or cross country skiing. Telluride is just a 2.5 to 3 hour drive, Powder Horn in Grand Junction (a nice family place) is inside 2 hours and 3.5 hours away you have access to all Salt Lake has to offer. Please feel free to share the experience of your stay at Unit 5, Moab Springs Ranch and the Moab area in this guest book. It will help guide future visitors with their selection of this first rate vacation spot. Enjoy!
