Why the Owner Chose Biarritz
Since I was coming out here on a regular basis, being only a 2 hour drive, I decided to buy a condo in Palm Springs, and rent it out when I wasn't using it. I actually own this and another condo in the same complex, it shares a wall with this one.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
I use the computer and internet a great deal for my job, connecting remotely to my company server, using the same Wifi or hard-line connection as mentioned on my vrbo webpage. It is fast and reliable. The Sun, swimming (I do laps in the pool shown in the property), shoping for unusual things..if you have never been on the Palm Springs Tramway, you need to do it at least once. Changing from (I believe) ~3000ft to 8000ft+ in a few minutes, it can go from 95 deg to 25-30 at the top of Mt. San Jacinto. Spectacular view. Great way to visit the snow, and then leave it behind.

My name is Jerry Johansen. Being born and raised in Southern California, I made many occasional trips to Palm Springs with my family as a kid. That continued as I got older. I bought this property because I knew I would use it when it was available, and rent it out otherwise.
If you ever rent from me, you will deal with me. I personally take care of bookings, lease agreements, scheduling, everything. It is extremely important to me that everything is right and waiting for you when you arrive.
Personal info: about 6 ft all, 220 lbs., muscular and athletic,living Aliso Viejo. I try to work out and eat right, important when your 51 yrs old and clmbing. I'm a medical device engineer/manager for my day job. I have a 17 year old son, does well in school, and plays a mean metal guitar. We listen to the same music - ACDC, Led Zepplin, Black Sabbath. Yeah, I'm a bad influence....I play piano and keyboards....mostly piano...since I was 9, and usually just for fun. My son and I record on occasion. We keep threatening to put ourselves on You Tube some day.

We stayed in this condo for a weekend in April. There were 3 of us females coming into Palm Springs for a work assignment to cover an annual music festival. We spent ALL of our free time in this lovely condo cooking or hanging out by the pool! Although the couch was different than the one pictured in the photo (we were told it was replaced for a more comfortable pull out bed/couch) everything else was just as posted on the listing. We had all the amenities one would want in their own home. We even barbequed on the simple to use grill on the patio- that's big time coming from 3 girls that have never used one before! BTW- we never once used the inside dining table. We loved being out on the patio with the warm air and the beautiful sunsets so we chose to eat all of our meals at the table on the balcony. There were plenty of towels and linens to make our stay comfy and to keep us dry on our numerous trips out to the pool. The pool was just a few feet away from the bottom of our stairwell which made it convenient for back and forth trips to use the restroom in our condo or to get refills on refreshments. We loved the location. It was walking distance to everything! Jerry takes great pride in his condo's and we will definitely be renting from him again!
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, people with disabilities, sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Our two week stay in August/Sept 2009 was much enjoyed in large part to the wonderful accommodation we enjoyed at this lovely decorated and comfortable Biarritz apartment. Conveniently located whether walking or driving we highly recommend this VRBO. It truly felt like a home away from home. The owner was exceptional in all aspects of our comfort and enjoyment during our two week stay. We would stay again. Julia & Henry
