Our stay at this condo rental - Kapalua Golf Villas - was excellent. The condo was impeccably clean; the lanai was expansive with an ocean view, being on the top level; the bedroom was spacious and comfortable; the ocean view condo had 2 full baths. When my wife walked into the living room and saw the ocean view, she exclaimed, "This is awesome!" We used the bbq grill twice to cook dinner and the smaller pool of the two. We would definitely return.

My husband and I spent an extended period at David and Nancy's condo. It was fortunate to have found this unit. It is close to the Bay Golf course, hiking trails, the beach and some great local restaurants. We enjoy walking to places in the area when it is possible. The location at the golf villas makes it a walkers delight. The condo has a wonderful view. We would have most of our meals on the extra large lanai, enjoy the sunset, and just sit and savor the warm temperatures. We were very comfortable in the condo as there is more than enough space for two. The amenities were many. We were very happy with the kitchen, bed, baths and laundry facilities. We will be going back as our winters can be cold, dark and gloomy......... We look forward to booking this condo again.

Excellent villa, highly recommend this villa for your stay in Maui. Owner provided maps, detailed directions, tourist information (go see Warren and Annabelle's Magic Show!). Villa set up was a breeze. Listing photos are accurate, beautifully appointed villa, fantastic experience. Villa Pros: Super clean, fantastic floor plan, kitchen well-stocked with every cooking utensil you could need and more (pots/pans/dishes/measuring utensils), beach chairs/large blue pool towels available, soft white cotton towels/handtowels/washcloths for your shower, 2 bathrooms (1 with large garden tub, other is standup shower), washer/dryer (love that!) comfy large bed, huge closet, large lanai to enjoy the pretty ocean view, close to two pools, easy walk to the Honolua store for quick grocery pickup, (or easy walk to Sansei sushi for a delicious dinner!). Absolutely perfect villa, great price. We look forward to our next stay in Maui, and when we do, we will be certain to stay here again! Nearby attractions: Lahaina Divers for scuba enthusiasts, shopping/dining in nearby Lahaina, the Shops at Wailea (food/luxury shopping, Lapperts Ice Cream), Kula Botanical Gardens, Napili Market for groceries,(huli/huli chicken and Red Box DVD a must!), 24 hour Safeway in Lahaina (get a Safeway card for discounts), Sansei Sushi and Honolua Store on site at Kapalua. Easy access to the beach (walk or drive less than 1.5 miles, public access), Haleakala bike tours, so much to see and do!

Thank you, David and Nancy, for sharing your beautiful golf villa with us. We've been to Maui several times and stayed in waterfront hotels as well as other rental properties. Your condo is our absolute favorite! The unobstructed ocean view is gorgeous, and we spent many hours on your lanai enjoying the morning rainbows and afternoon sunsets. The villa itself is very clean, well appointed and made us feel right at home. The king-size bed is really comfortable, overlooking a pretty view of the Cook's pine trees. We appreciated being able to use the beach chairs found in your closet; although we didn't use the snorkel gear, it's nice you make that available to your guests as well. We absolutely love staying in Kapalua because it's so quiet and peaceful, while being only a few minutes away from the best beaches and restaurants. Your villa exceeded all our expectations, and we plan on returning there many more times. For anyone reading this review, I would highly recommend renting this golf villa. It's a gem in paradise!

Great one bedroom

This was a great, roomy one bedroom with a large lanai, good for two people only. Great view (high up, with view across the golf course to the ocean). Comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen, lots of water toys (that we never used, but still, it was nice to know ere we're masks and snorkels we could have used!) Easy access from the parking stall to the house (same level). Never used the air conditioners (one in bedroom and one in living room/ kitchen) as we had the windows open and the fans on - lovely! My husband golfed (he loved both the Plantation and the Bay courses - and could get a discount to play there because we were in the villas), and I walked, read swam: very relaxing. David (owner) was very helpful, provided lots of information, and phoned before we left and while we were there to ensure everything was fine. They had even left some groceries in the house as they had only departed that morning. We were warned that there's not much there in terms of groceries or even restaurants. No gas station or even coffee shop nearby. Guests would definitely need a car, although I understand there's a shuttle service on the golf course. However, we had a car, and spent the afternoons exploring the north end of the island, and the nearby beaches, with one day on Haleakala and one in Hana (both are LONG days from Kapalua!) I would recommend this condo for a couple who like golf and/ or peace and quiet! Thanks, David, we had a great week in Kapalua! You were a great absentee host!

Let me count the ways…..This has become our favorite place to stay. I have never had a unit actually exceed the expectations I had from the pictures - but this place sure did! I really appreciate David and Nancy sharing this piece of paradise with us – loved, loved, loved the unit, the location. We walked or drove to Kapalua and Napili Bay everyday for snorkeling and walking and we took advantage of the 4pm golf specials, on the spectacular Bay Course. If you don't want to walk the 10 minutes, they even provide a complimentary shuttle. The Kapalua Spa is also just a few minutes away, if you want to be pampered. My hardest decision this trip, was whether to head out to explore or just hang out on the wonderful lanai with the incredible views of the water, golf course, trees, flowers, and sunsets…..Can’t wait to visit again.

I have traveled a good bit, but have never been inclined to rate my travel experience until my stay in Kapalua. That is because this golf villa was incredible! The listing was everything it said it would be. The real view are even better than the pictures. The villa was very clean and well updated. We found everything we needed including a CD for the road to Hana. The Kapalua area is super nice and the golf villas are a great way to affordably stay in this area. We swam in 3 of the pools(also well maintained), and walked down to the beaches just about everyday. Golf Villas are very quiet which was great for us. The owers were very helpful in setting up the arrangements. For a guy who rarely makes recommendations, I would highly recommend this villa.

We have rented many places directly from owners and hands down these owners are the most pleasant and caring owners we have ever dealt with. The condo is as described on VRBO. Immaculately clean, well decorated,and completely equiped (even had loads of snorkel gear and beach chairs) for a carefree vacation. The deck views are awesome, a few minutes walk to the pool and BBQ area, and wonderful grounds for morning walks. Pinapple Grill and Plantation House both great (breakfast is way less expensive with same great view). Quiet and relaxing are the operative words for this complex so if that is what you are after you can't go wrong here. Definately would stay again.

From the moment I initially called this owner till our much regretted departure this was an amazing experience. I've never had logistics with booking a place be as smooth and simple as this. A few short phone calls, some exchanges of emails and it was a done deal. Most hotel check ins are more complicated. Explicit instructions/directions and over-deliverance on everything promised made this place everything promised and much much more. You HAVE to experience this place for yourself to fully understand. The accommodations were immaculate and amazingly comfortable, almost like we moved our home to an island paradise. My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the villa! The view is truly amazing. I was really impressed with how clean the condo was - it is very well taken of. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment and utensils, as well as the washrooms with plenty of clean towels. The Kapalua resort is beautiful, and within walking distance of several gorgeous beaches. We are dreaming of coming back again very soon. The owners are also very friendly and pleasant to deal with. I would highly recommend staying here!

This was the first visit to Kapalua for my husband and me and we couldn't be more pleased when we walked in to the door to see your place. First of all, the condo was super convenient to the parking space, which came in handy with all of our luggage and gear. Secondly, the place was immaculately maintained and clean. Thirdly, the condo was huge and had plenty of space for the two of us. The view and patio were amazing. I could go on...We definitely would recommend your condo to everyone we know. Can't wait to return to Kapalua.

Heaven on Earth

My husband and I have been vacationing in Maui and Kauai for over 15 years. This unit and resort is by far the best we have stayed at. Our morning walk in the resort encompassed two beautiful beaches, panoramic scenery of the coast and the beautiful grounds of Kapalua. The hiking trails within the resort are amazing as is the golf. The free shuttle service from this condo to the beaches, restaurants and everywhere else within the resort made it possible for my husband to take the car while I still had the freedom to go wherever I choose. This immaculate unit has absolutely everything you could ask for and is much larger than it appears in the photos and virtual tour. The furnishings are new and the kitchen is beautiful as well as functional. The view from the lanai is breathtaking and we spent much time out there enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. The sunsets defy description. The new beach chairs and the snorkel equipment we found in the unit really came in handy. We highly recommend the Pineapple Grill restaurant for dinner and Honolua General Store for a quick breakfast and lunch. We returned to both spots numerous times. The owner called us after we checked in to give us information about beaches in other resorts and where to find parking. He also recommended activities and destinations that he thought we would enjoy exploring. Needless to say, we booked for next year and hope to return many times in the future.

Great Getaway!

My husband and I recently spent the week between Christmas and New Year's in the Abernathy Villa. It was exactly what the doctor ordered. The villa is welcoming and comfortable. You feel like you're in your own home. The weather was fabulous and our favorite daily ritual was having our morning coffee, while watching the whales swim by. We generally alternate between staying in hotels and vacation rentals. In the Kapalua area, we definitely recommend rentals, because you can eat out at the restaurants if you'd like, but you can also grill up some steaks/seafood and relax with a nice bottle of wine. Since there are not a ton of restaurants up north, it is definitely nice to have options. We can't wait to go back to Maui soon!

Aloha Dave and Nancy: Just wanted to pass on a big 'thank you' for helping to make our Maui trip the best vacation that we have ever had. Your place was perfect for us! We especially appreciated how bright and cheery it was, how fantastic the views were, and how much work you must have put into updating your condo. We loved the location and above all, the peace and quiet. We also made good use of the activities near by: we played both the Plantation Golf Course and the Bay Course, we played a close doubles match with a couple we met, we enjoyed the snorkeling on the several visits we made to Kapalua Beach, we went whale watching and saw some spectacular humpback whales as well as spinner dolphins....fantastic! We also enjoyed some out of this world sunsets over drinks and dinner. We look forward to our next visit to Maui. Thanks again, Jordan
