I use this Condo when I want to spend time in Waikiki so I want it nice! Great location away from the hustle and bustle of people, cars and buses. Well almost, it is Waikiki after all! Located on Lemon Road, a quiet one way street one street mauka (towards the mountains) from Kalakaua and Waikiki Beach. Lemon Road is just one block long so doesn't get much traffic...especially noisy buses!
One block from Kapiolani park, the zoo, the aquarium and Waikiki Shell (for concerts). "Sunset on the Beach" offers free movies on a big screen TV on the sand just one and half block from this Condo. Secure building with entry card that only allows residents to access their floor from the elevator. Only six apartments per floor.

Coin laundry located in parking area. And yes, there is a parking stall assigned specifically for this Condo and it is FREE with the rental. Free parking is a rarity in Waikiki!
No smoking allowed. This condo doesn't have a private lanai however there is small lanai on 9th floor with beautiful blue Pacific Views where you can enjoy the ocean view or read.

Why the Owner Chose Tradewinds Plaza
I like to boogie board at the wall, just 1/2 block away where no surfboards are allowed. The location of this condo is terrific because it has easy access off of the freeway and down Kapahulu. You don't have to go into the heart of Waikiki with all the traffic to get to it.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
The condo feels like a home and not a hotel. It is a fairly small building with some full time occupants. I hardly ever see anyone on the elevator. The building is well maintained and Lemon Road is a small one lane street with no city bus noise!

The rental was excellent.It was exactly as advertised.The location was great being 1 block back from the beach,close to the zoo shops etc. The unit was very clean and had some hidden suprises being extra condiments in the fridge,beach gear The parking was very safe and secure which gave me added piece of mind This is the first time I have stayed in a vacation rental and would not hesitate in staying here again
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway.

Wonderful place to base yourself for exploring Waikiki, Honolulu, and the rest of Oahu. Clean, comfortable, and cozy condo. Great location to walk to the beach (1 block), walk to the Honolulu Zoo (1 block), and walk to the "zoo" of Waikiki. Since secure, covered parking is included, this condo is convenient for renting a car to explore the whole island. Finally, the whole rental process was quick and easy, and the owner supplies excellent directions and is very accomodating on checkout times. Great place!!!

We loved this condo so much that it has become our home away from home every time we come back to Hawaii. the tradewinds is a great place to stay on your trip to waikiki. it's barely fifty yards from the beach and kapiolani park, as well as some great restaurants. gina's unit is clean and convenient, with internet access, and laundry just a few steps away.

The place was amazing. It felt like home. The location con't have been better, it was a 2 minute walk to the beach. Having a parking spot was fantastic. I can't say enough good things about this place! Wonderful unit. Everything is as pictured. very clean & filled with home comforts. great value! free parking plus free internet. not sure where else you can get a deal for this price. easy access to the beach. unit also has beach toys you can use: boogie board, bucket & spade, beach mats, beach towels & chair. very convenient for those of you who don't want to buy these things just for the trip. this definitely beats staying at a hotel. having your own kitchenette means you can refrigerate all your ice cold drinks, make coffee or eggs in the morning, heat up leftovers in the microwave or even cook your own meal. the bed was very comfortable & the sheets soft. i will be recommending this unit to all my friends & hoping to stay there again when i go back to oahu!

Very tastefully decorated. All amenities. If you look out the window to the right you can see a peak of blue ocean. I enjoyed looking at the trees at Kapiolani Park from my window. The unit doesn't have its own lanai but has lanai 10 steps from the door on the 9th floor. I enjoyed watching the ocean and fireworks from this lanai that no one else seemed to use. Very quiet and clean. Book me again next year!
