THE GOOD: Location. The building is steps to Waikiki Beach. You are in the water 2 minutes out the front door. Price. An incredible deal, especially with a parking spot included. The Unit. Clean. Well supplied. The Owner. Gina was very easy to deal with. THE BAD: Location. The building is steps to Waikiki Beach and is surrounded by other apartment buildings, hostels and hotels.. The street is really a lane and has several garbage dumpsters which get quite smelly and are emptied by trucks at 7am, so it isn't the quietest of areas, but since Waikiki is pretty much all hotels, apartments, hostels, bars, restaurants & shops, this would be an issue just about anywhere you stay. Keeping the AC on (even just the fan setting) helps block out the partying and other noise. I enjoyed my week at Waikiki Beach but if I ever visit O'ahu again, I will stay somewhere else. THE UGLY (and this is something that might not bother others but I found really annoying) The building is built like Ft. Knox. You have to swipe the access card to open either the front door or the garage door. You have to swipe it again to call the elevator and then swipe it a third time in the elevator to access the floor button and when you want to leave the building, you have to swipe the card in the elevator to access the lobby or garage. All in all, if Waikiki is where you want to be, you be hard pressed to do better than a stay here.

Recommended for:Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The rental was excellent.It was exactly as advertised.The location was great being 1 block back from the beach,close to the zoo shops etc. The unit was very clean and had some hidden suprises being extra condiments in the fridge,beach gear The parking was very safe and secure which gave me added piece of mind This is the first time I have stayed in a vacation rental and would not hesitate in staying here again

Wonderful place to base yourself for exploring Waikiki, Honolulu, and the rest of Oahu. Clean, comfortable, and cozy condo. Great location to walk to the beach (1 block), walk to the Honolulu Zoo (1 block), and walk to the "zoo" of Waikiki. Since secure, covered parking is included, this condo is convenient for renting a car to explore the whole island. Finally, the whole rental process was quick and easy, and the owner supplies excellent directions and is very accomodating on checkout times. Great place!!!

We loved this condo so much that it has become our home away from home every time we come back to Hawaii. It has everything that you could ever dream of, from the price and perfect location to all the special touches that Gina leaves for her guests: the comfy bedding,the complete kitchenware, the beach toys and towels,the immaculate bathroom, and much more. the tradewinds is a great place to stay on your trip to waikiki. it's barely fifty yards from the beach and kapiolani park, as well as some great restaurants. gina's unit is clean and convenient, with internet access, and laundry just a few steps away.

The place was amazing. It felt like home. The location con't have been better, it was a 2 minute walk to the beach. Having a parking spot was fantastic. We have gone to HI every Oct for the past 10 years and this will be our #1 choice going forward. Thank you Gina for a wonderfull vacation. Debbie & Jim

I can't say enough good things about this place! Wonderful unit. Everything is as pictured. very clean & filled with home comforts. great value! free parking plus free internet. not sure where else you can get a deal for this price. easy access to the beach. unit also has beach toys you can use: boogie board, bucket & spade, beach mats, beach towels & chair. very convenient for those of you who don't want to buy these things just for the trip. this definitely beats staying at a hotel. having your own kitchenette means you can refrigerate all your ice cold drinks, make coffee or eggs in the morning, heat up leftovers in the microwave or even cook your own meal. the bed was very comfortable & the sheets soft. i will be recommending this unit to all my friends & hoping to stay there again when i go back to oahu!

Very tastefully decorated. All amenities. If you look out the window to the right you can see a peak of blue ocean. I enjoyed looking at the trees at Kapiolani Park from my window. The unit doesn't have its own lanai but has lanai 10 steps from the door on the 9th floor. I enjoyed watching the ocean and fireworks from this lanai that no one else seemed to use. Very quiet and clean. Book me again next year!

Fabulous location near best beach in Waikiki. Away from the hustle and bustle but close enough for all the fun. Cleanest condo I have ever rented. Owner accomodated our special requests and responded quickly to phone calls. Furnished with a great tropical flair. Would definitely recommend to my friends.
