RECENTLY RENOVATED: Many Luxury Upgrades!
Margaritaville, the PERFECT SAYULITA VACATION SPOT!! Welcome to our vacation home “Margaritaville” located in Sayulita Mexico. Ours is a family friendly house nestled into the Los Delfines complex, one of a few beachfront complexes located in Sayulita. Margaritaville is one of eleven three bedroom homes, these homes share two swimming pools and a common beachfront area. Margaritaville is located a mere 100 steps to the sand and ocean and fronts onto a spotlessly clean swimming pool. It’s a short walk down the beach to Sayulita’s surf break, a favorite break known for its easy waves for beginners, and consistent surf. Surf boards and lessons are available for rent right on the beach. The water in the area beside the surf break is shallow for a long way out, great for little swimmers.

Margaritaville is one of the most convenient locations in Sayulita, two small grocery stores are a 2 minute walk away, and the closest restaurants are also 2 minutes away. It is an easy eight minute walk to everything including the downtown plaza and the many varied restaurants, services, and shopping that Sayulita has to offer, yet it is far enough away from the late night noise that sometimes occurs in that area. Everything in town is walking distance from this location! Margaritaville is the PERFECT LOCATION for people that want to be close to everything, yet still want to enjoy the sounds of the ocean and crickets at night.

There are spas for those that want to be pampered, and many activities such as horseback riding on jungle trails, zip lines, ATV rentals, sport fishing, surfing, boogie boarding, and skim boarding. The sandy beach features nice swimming, sun tanning, snorkeling, and you can relax on the sand or rent an umbrella and chairs. On occasion dolphins and whales sport within sight. You can eat the street food, or sample the many restaurants in the area. You can see the fish the fishermen bring in, send the kids shopping at stores or booths in the town square, sample the local ice cream and baked goods, and best of all you can walk at night. For those interested in nightlife, there are several places that feature salsa dancing, or DJ music and dancing, depending on the night of the week and the time of year. The more adventurous can leave Sayulita to visit nearby towns and attractions.

We spent a week in Sayulita and stayed at the Margaritaville house. It was a great house with plenty of room for all. It is in a perfect location to restaurants and shopping (probably not even a 10 minute walk) and just few steps from the house and you are on the beach. We rented a car, but I wouldn't bother with the expense next time - it really wasn't needed. We will definitely be back.

Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

May 2011, I went with my wife, mother-in-law, two sons in their early 20s and a friend of the boys'. The condo is large enough, and well laid out, that we were all comfortable. The palapa - patio is a great feature and gives a second living room. There are actually two pools, one on each side of this unit and if there are a batch of kids in one, the other one is usually empty. Beach access is perfect, about 100 feet, and the beach walk to town center and the surf break is short and enjoyable and with a few bar/restaurant operations on the way. We rented only a small car and made the boys bus to PV but wound up doing it ourselves. Easy, cheap and fun. I won't even bother with a car next time.

Just a quick note to let you know we made it to/from Margaritaville safe and sound and had a fantastic time while we were there. We really enjoyed the house, complex grounds, pool, ocean, waves, sun, and the very quaint town of Sayulita. We are still in shock being back in the frozen Yukon and miss our relaxed life style and daily routine we enjoyed in Sayulita! Our 2 weeks went by much too fast and want to be back there…..another week or two would have been really nice. A couple of highlights were a trip to the market in La Penita and a visit to Guayabitos to show our relatives(Elmy’s sister and family) where we stayed last year, Dorado fishing (I got a nice one and our neighbors that my brother in-law a I shared the boat with got two), hiking to San Pancho, horse back riding, hours and hours of Boogie Boarding (lots of huge waves!), going to local restaurants (my favorite by far was the Mocajetes Azteca at Sayulita Café), walking around town and enjoying the festivities of Sayulita Days, playing cards, reading, having a morning coffee or afternoon corona under the patio palapa and just enjoying the fantastic weather and scenery in Sayulita. Everything about Margaritaville and Sayulita met or exceeded our family’s expectations! A really great, laid back, interesting, sun, sand and wave filled holiday. Our 10 year old son Logan had a blast as did Elmy and I and our relatives!!! We took lots of great photos!

We all want to let you know that everything was amazing and we were completely blown away at the house. Sayulita is an amazing little town so thankyou for sharing that with us. If it's okay with you, I would like to give your personal contact info to some friends that also loved the house. They travel to Sayulita quite often and would love to rent it from you. We're planning on another trip to Sayulita next year and we will definitely be getting in contact with you for a place to stay.

First off, it was a pleasant surprise to find that the property was nicer than the pictures show, I mean the pictures show you what you can expect but the house was beautiful. When we arrived we were able to park off street, access the property, and settle in. No equipment issues, no missing keys, no unmade beds. We had a wonderful housekeeper and a helpful but non intrusive property manager. During our two week stay we never had the need to call for any type of service or repair, it was completely stress free! We got to know our neighbors quickly and enjoyed their company while sitting at the pool or playing in the ocean, but when we wanted to get away we simply retreated into the privacy of our enclosed palapa. Town Centre was only a short 5 minute walk and the restaurants were abundant, inexpensive, and served delicious food. There were ample opportunities to learn how to surf, take Spanish lessons, shop, and explore the surroundings without ever once having a desire to head to the frenetic pace of Puerta Vallarta. When it was time to head back to Margaritaville in the evening, we were able to leave the noise behind and fall asleep to the sound of the pounding surf, rather than amplified bass music. Finally the locals were friendly and welcoming. We visited the animal shelter and found that the town of Sayulita has a free Spay and Neuter program that depends on donations from whomever can help, so we helped as best we could. Margaritaville, with its recent renovations, is a gem and should not be missed.

My family spent two weeks at Margaritaville in Winter 2010, and had a terrific time. Because we have small kids, the private courtyard made this head and shoulders above any of the other units in this particular complex - we didn't have to worry about the pools. The outdoor grill is a really nice touch too. I also think that "Los Defines" is the right distance from the main part of town - not too close, not too far away. The "muffin lady" and the "tamale lady" and Celia's market made feeding the family easier too. The owners have done an excellent job with this home, both inside and out.

                              Why the Owner Chose Sayulita:
After visits to Cancun, Playa Del Carmen, and Puerto Vallarta, we finally found a town in Mexico that had a lot to offer beyond a typical tourist experience. Sayulita has a nice beach, great beginner surf, as well as a very nice people living here. We have always felt very welcome and safe here, the people are great, and our kids love it. There is always something to do, and we tend to relax well as a family while visiting. We have been visiting since 2001, and although the town has changed, the character of the place remains the same.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
The house is great for large groups, with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths, it is great for people planning a vacation with extended family such as in-laws. With our 3 girls, the 3 bathrooms make for less time arguing over the shower and sinks. The house has great outdoor deck areas, including places to get away from your group and recharge if necessary, plus areas to have the group gather and relax. The gated courtyard can keep small swimmers out of the pool area, it also serves as a central place to meet, relax, and eat meals. Margaritaville is a great family friendly place to visit.
