Why the Owner Chose Eastham
Eastham is beautiful, quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by water. We are the 2nd owners of this wonderful property. We literally bought it from a retiring local school teacher. No kidding. Of course, the Cape gives you access to bay beaches and ocean beaches. But Eastham has the entrance to the National Seashore! Eastham is also an easy point for day trips up or down the Cape to explore different cities. After years of traveling to the Cape. Eastham beaches are the best and with the most variety. Plus it is an easy jump point for exploring. We love it!
The Unique Benefits at this House
Our house is quiet, private, and in the woods. The road out front is barely traveled. After a long day at the beach it is a respite to return to. Laying in bed at night with all the windows open and listening to the sound of the leaves gently rustle can make you feel a million miles away from real life. Here we really relax and recharge our souls. We enjoy an early morning bike ride. A full day on the beach. Drinks watching the sunset. Dinner on the back deck. And laying in bed listening to the wind blow. It's a simple life but isn't that what vacation is for?
The place for sunsets! Bay side beaches are calm and warmer. Great place to swim and play in the water, especially for younger children. This is about a 10 minute car ride from the house.
Our favorite Ocean side beach! BIG waves, wide beach, showers, bathrooms, body surfing, beach walking, seals that watch your every move. This is about a 10 to 15 minute drive depending on 6 traffic.
The Stop & Shop, Windmill Liquor, and Nauset Fish. Everything you need about 2 miles from the house.
Yummy! Family friendly. This is always our first night on the Cape dinner spot.
The best clam strips on the cape! Don't let the line fool you it goes really fast. You order at the counter (alcohol is after that down the counter) and they call you when your food is ready. Don't
You really can't go wrong with anything on this menu. The pizza is wonderful and the salads are fresh and different. Dine in or carry out.
OK, I know everyone loves Dunkin Donuts. But Hole in One is a local donut shak and really worth a try! I think they are better but you be the judge.
The Cape Escape Miniture Golf complex. Great course. 2 miles from the house.
Owner's Map of Eastham
We purchased this home in January of 2006. Less than 6 months after making the decision that this is where we plan to retire. We are from Oklahoma and Detroit currently living just outside of Cincinnati - It sounds a little crazy unless you've been to the Cape and Eastham in particuliar.

We found this home to be the perfect size for our family. We were retracing our vacations of yesteryear with our young adult children. The three bedrooms and loft allowed plenty of space to spread out with our 17, 20 and 23 year old children. The weather was beautiful and we spent plenty of time on the bay beaches swimming and skim boarding. We also enjoyed the house being close to the bike trail. We enjoyed a day in Provincetown shopping and dining. Enjoyed ice cream from Lewis's, Ben & Jerry's and Emack and Bolios. Emack and Bolios was our favorite for quality and generosity of the serving. Our favorite meal was Moby Dick's on Route 6....we love the BYOB option and the food is great. Only drawback was the rust in the water, but thats the Cape. We would consider this home when we return to the Cape.

This house was by far the nicest house we have rented on the cape the past few years. Eastham is a great town that is close to everything (beautiful beaches, Cape Cod Baseball, plenty of local restaurants and of course ice cream!) The house itself was clean and well maintained. It was nice to not have to worry about bringing beach chairs and toys for our 2 year old niece/granddaughter. First Encounter Beach and Wiley Park were greats for her. She also loved going on bike rides on the CCRT (located close to the house). The owners answered all of our questions in a timely fashion. The only bad thing we can say about the house is that we wish there was some AC, although there was only one night we wished we had it. We are actually planning our trip next year to the house!!

This is a terrific house with all the amenities. It was a short drive to all points of interest being in the middle of the island. Very private backyard with porch, 3 bedrooms, 1 and a half baths, tv, vcr, video games, beach chairs, umbrella, toys for kids. It was perfect.

Despite 4 days of rain, we had a fantastic time during our vacation, and much of that was due to the comfort and location of the house. It was nicely decorated, well furnished, and very clean! At the end of the day, it was very relaxing to come home to. The owners answered every question we had very quickly and provided lots of suggested activities and places to visit, which was especially useful during the rainy days. We really enjoyed eating at Arnold's (awesome fried clams!), Russ & Marie's Marconi Beach restaurant (BBQ ribs and chicken!!!), and the Hot Chocolate Sparrow. The only downside was the amount of iron in the water which made it smell and taste funny, but that's Cape Cod -- there's only so much the well's filter can do. We would definitely ask to rent this property again and will be looking for it again here on VRBO! =)

The house was clean, comfortable, and close to the bike trail. Loved the outside shower and the beach chairs and boogie boards were nice to have to use. Plenty of room for 6 - 8 people to live comfortably for a week.

We found this home to be quite comfortable and very homey. In fact, we called it "home" while we were there. The pictures on line are just what it looks like. The home was clean and well stocked with all you need. The owner of the home was quite nice and easy to talk to. All questions were answered and they were very accomodating by emails and phone. We would highly recommend this home to stay in on vacation, and we hope to be able to return to this home again some day soon. We loved the Atlantic side for boogie boarding (Marconi) and hiking to Jeremy Point was a highlight for us. We loved Arnold's for seafood and ice cream. Must get donuts at Hole In One, and hot chocolate at the Chocolate Sparrow. Pizza at the Red Barn is a must, did that twice, and played putt putt there. Whale watching in Provincetown was great and shopping there is too. We liked Wellfleet and Chatham as well. We covered a lot of the Cape in a weeks time, wish we could have stayed another week.

This was a great rental for our 2 families. (7 people) There was plenty of room to escape each other. There is a great deck and outside shower. Kitchen was great for cooking. Lots of items for the beach. Location was awesome. We explored many of towns and beaches. First Encounter Beach is a must, sunset and low tide. Hole in One donuts were a favorite. The house was well equipped and in a perfect location. Set on a private road yet still close to Rt 6 making commuting easy. The ocean was minutes by car and the rail trail was within walking distance. The wooded backyard provided us with our own personal viewing of deer in the morning. The house was perfect for our family, we couldn't of been happier.
