Beautiful in summer and winter, this architect-designed house works for me as a retreat, a base for hiking or skiing, and a reunion spot for far-flung families. Every family member of 3 generations finds his or her niche. In a high-end neighbourhood at the edge of town, the house is very private and offers a fabulous mountain view literally out of every window. Elegant reading spot off Master suite with spectacular views; protected back yard where you can sun even in February. Path to kids' playground with slides and swings that you can see from the kitchen window. Open kitchen with gas range for cooking big family meals. Woodburning and gas fireplaces, double garage, steam shower, surround sound, masses of storage, walkout to patio. Beautiful mature garden. The house sits on the last street in town and looks straight into the slopes behind. Lots of separation between large family area, and quiet adult haven.

We had an amazing time. We got there Saturday afternoon and my 2 1/2 year old immediately found the playground and we could barely get him away from it all weekend. We went into Banff and had a stroll around town. It was cool and crisp but nothing more than a light winter coat needed. We loved having a house to cook in, hang out in, and enjoy life together. We felt blessed to be able to use it. What a great place Canmore is from the walking paths, beautiful new homes and of course the playgrounds. We enjoyed high tea at the Banff Springs and a massage there- Andrea was the best! Thank you for sharing your home. The best way to travel with my parents, my wife's parents and my 2 1/2 year old and 13 month old son!

The house is absolutely beautiful. It was spotlessly clean. Amazing architecture and views. We had an excellent week. Your house was perfect for us, lots of space for each couple and we were all under one roof. It was a holiday to remember!

We had a great time in Canmore and staying in your house was a lovely treat. Everything worked smoothly. We especially loved the spectacular mountain views through the windows and from the backyard. We did a few wonderful hikes--Chester Lake and Rawson Lake (at Upper Kananaskis Lake) and a couple shorter ones. We hope to stay in Canmore again soon and will check in with you about renting your place. Perhaps we'll even bring some of our family next time. Our granddaughters would probably love it there. J.
