You’ll find that your gorgeous apartment is in the most exclusive neighbourhood of Amsterdam, in an historical building in the authentic Dutch architectural style - the “Ämsterdamse School”. This is the new Nheemskerk Suites, where we have fully renovated four fully-furnished apartments dedicated to the natural elements of air, fire, water and earth.
Privacy, peace and comfort are yours, with all the amenities you need for a pleasant stay. Your tranquil apartment, dedicated to the “Air” element, offers 55 or 60 square meters, and includes a fully-equipped kitchen with separate dining area, and a bedroom with a comfortable king-sized bed and luxurious Egyptian cotton sheets. There is a bathroom with a rain shower and bathtub or with Jacuzzi – complete with a soft, luxurious housecoat - as well as a separate toilet off of the bedroom. The floors are cork – natural, soundproof and comfortable. Did we mention the use of our netbook with a fast internet connection and 2 flat TV screens?
You’ll feel right at home, whether here on holiday or on business, when you are welcomed with our welcome basket of Italian prosecco, Dutch stroopwafel, juice and a beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers, chosen for you... all with a little touch of poetry! We look forward to meeting you!
The Concertgebouw, with its beautiful, sunny café, and world-renowned concerts, is just around the corner - less than a minute away. With the most exclusive shops in Amsterdam just down the street, and the Van Gogh Museum and Rijks Museum about 3 minutes away, you can’t find a better location for experiencing Amsterdam’s cultural heartbeat.
Also a short walk away is the happening Leidseplein, with the famous American Café, the Staadschouwberg and the Melkweg music hall. Leidseplein boasts an incredible number of restaurants, shops, cafes, theatres and performance centres. Vondelpark is a 10-minute walk from your doorstep and offers open-air concerts, cafes, and a beautiful oasis of green for walking, jogging or just to relax in, perhaps with a picnic and a bottle of wine.
By foot, rental bike, taxi or tram, you can get wherever you want easily and quickly. Schipol Airport, Central Station and the RAI Congress Centre are all easily accessible. Route: From Amsterdam Centraal station: Tram 3, 5, 12, 16, 24, Stop Museumplein/Concertgebouw • From Amsterdam WTC station Zuid: Tram 5, Stop Museumplein/Concertgebouw • From Schiphol: Connexxion bus number 370 or 197 till stop Museumplein (costs 4.00Euro) Or the train to Amsterdam Centraal station or WTC station Zuid. • By car If you take the highway to Amsterdam you follow the A 10 ring road. Follow directions S 108 and take exit Amstelveen (S 108) . Traffic light turn right, follow the Amstelveenseweg. Pass the 'Olympic Stadion' on your left hand and turn left at the next traffic lights. Drive straight ahead until you see a roundabout, take the second street on your right Cornelis Krussemanstraat, this street turns into de Lairessestraat. At about 2 km you see Jacob Obrechtstraat (turn Left), than the first street right and again first street right. Our address: Hotel Heemskerk, J.W. Important informations before you book:
Our property is totally no smoking. As we are an official aparthotel rated 4 star in Horeca Nederland we are obliged ( also for your security) to have smoke and fire detectors and to be connected with the fire brigade! But don't worry as you can smoke outside or in the apartment with balcony :-)
Drugs and parties are forbidden.
We offer a relaxing place so we expect also a quiet behaviour ;-)

About: I am Norman Heemskerk, after many successful years spent running my hotel, I decided to change my life and my business renovating my place in 4 brand new luxury apartment suites, the Norman Heemskerk Suites Amsterdam. With the help of Sonia (She came almost 2 years ago from the turquoises waters and sunny beaches of magic Sardinia) and her design, we created an environment for the nature lovers. Not only in the design, dedicated to the 4 natural elements, (Air, Water, Fire and Earth) but also giving particular attention to the environment, we use rain water for the toilets and washing machine, we heat the water with solar panel, we make electricity from the sun and we decided to avoid as much as possible wi fi and microwave, giving you a space more healthy and natural! Now we are ready to share our new adventure with you and to give a warm welcome in our place :-)
Why Amsterdam:
My parents felt in love with this building, an original Art Deco house built in 1925. The warmth of the details and its original design make a special place where to stay.
Just behind the Concert Hall with a view on its garden, located 2 steps away from the Amsterdam 's museums.
