A waterfront town house in East Caribbean Village which is a gated condominium situated on Rodney Bay Lagoon and a two-minute walk to the beach. Three bedrooms: two with air conditioning and ceiling fans, third with ceiling fan. Beds: one king-size, one queen-size, two twins. Also, spare fold-up. Two bathrooms, one en-suite with capacious shower and his and hers wash-basins, and the second with bath and shower. The master bedroom has a deep, roofed balcony, overlooks the lagoon and has views of the hills beyond.

The cool, spacious living/dining room opens onto the patio, separated by low fencing and shrubs from the condominium garden which is adorned with tropical trees and bushes.

A breakfast bar separates the living room from the well-equipped kitchen, adjacent to which is a utility room for washing,drying and storage. Ventilation throughout is effected by "jalousies," traditional horizontal wooden shutters set in the walls.

We don't have a swimming pool but the Caribbean Sea is just ouside the front door and Reduit Beach is one of the finest on the island. A wide range of water sports is available there.

The rear garden borders the lagoon and has its own boardwalk and jetties. A little ferry runs from its adjacent berth to Pigeon Island. The Marina is on the lagoon's opposite shore, a couple of minutes away by water taxi and five minutes by car. As well as a full range of boating facilities the Marina has a useful selection of small shops, banks and restaurants.

The property is located in the heart of Rodney Bay Village, the prime restaurant, shopping and entertainment area of St. Lucia. The Edge, probably the best restaurant on the island, is next door as is Frogs Scuba diving school.

Pigeon Island, a venue of St Lucia Jazz Festival in May, and Beausejour, that of World Cup cricket are close by, and the Island’s capital city, Castries, where Carnival is celebrated in July, is seven miles away.

Not to forget the Friday night 'jump up' (street party) in neighbouring Gros Islet!

  • Our family of four stayed at this villa in early May 2009 for ten days and had a wonderful time. This villa is spacious, open and has a beautiful garden view of the marina lagoon. This villa is clean, very comfortable and well set-up. The big back courtyard accessible from the back yard gave the impression that we had the whole place to ourselves. As others have mentioned, the hummingbirds provide the entertainment. This villa is very comfortable and the multi-level design is quite appealing. There were few occupants in the complex when we were there so it was very quiet. This villa is located across the road from Reduit Beach and the public beach access is only three minutes away by foot. The beach is long with golden sand and clear warm water. The villa is located on Reduit Beach Road close many very nice restaurants and close to plenty of night life. It is far enough away that there is no disturbance from the night crowd. The shopping center with a grocery store is a five minute walk away, making it very convenient for a food, snack or drink run. The bank is on the way to the store. There are several car rental agencies within 200 meters of walking distance. It was a pleasure dealing with the owner who provided us with all the information that we needed and even offered to arrange for a driver that he uses to meet us at the Hewanorra airport upon our arrival in St-Lucia. That was most helpful given our late evening arrival and the 1 1/2 hour drive to Rodney Bay. Rodney Bay is a very interesting and active part of lovely St-Lucia and this accommodation met all of our expectations. We felt very much at home there and at the end of our stay we felt sad to have to leave. You can't go wrong staying here. Enjoy your visit to St-Lucia.

  • The villa and its location were great overlooking the lagoon a great place and very secure. We enjoyed a all too short holiday but it was the best place to Chill out with easy access to the bars, beaches and the best restuarents. Indeed Paul and jennys personal advice took us back to the Edge restaurent next door several times the food and service was great. I am trying to sort out a return visit ASAP. Enjoy paradise.   • The location and facilities are fantastic - we have just spent a wonderful holiday in this spacious villa in Rodney Bay – with beautiful Reduit Beach just outside the front door and lovely views of the Lagoon and mountains beyond to the rear. Plenty of local bars and restaurants worth a visit and handy access to supermarket, post office, bank and tourist office facilities. Rodney Bay Marina is also within easy reach, with its bars and restaurants. The Marina is the start point for two of the amazing tours we took (pickup from outside the property was included with both). The first of these was by Pirate Ship along the beautiful west coast of the island, to the imposing Pitons and the unusual walk-in Volcano. The second was by Catamaran to neighbouring Martinique – with its French feel, lovely Capital (Fort de France), snorkelling opportunity and a dolphin escort on the return trip - a real fun day out! Throw in the fantastic experience of zip-lining in the Rain Forest (a must!), lazy days on Reduit Beach and sunsets that take your breath away and you have one amazing vacation - we would return for Reduit beach alone. In fact, we didn’t make the Friday Night ‘Jump Up’ (street party), or nearby Pigeon Island, so we are going to have to go back! The Agent was on hand for any problems (of which there were none), but it was good to know someone was there if we needed assistance. We would willingly recommend this lovely property, Rodney Bay and St. Lucia to anyone! October 2007

  • We had a marvellous holiday in this truely delightful Villa. It was so easy to relax in, cool, comfortable and close to everything we wanted to do. The swimming, in glorious crystal clear water, is a 2 minute walk away. Reduit Beach is the best sandy beach in St Lucia and we swam there two or three times a day. Snorkelling, fishing, sailing, riding and walking were all available and easy to access just a short walk away. Also a short walk away were a wide variety of restaurants. We enjoyed the great kitchen facilities at the Villa so much that we ate out rarely. The humming birds in the garden are stunning to watch so we spent many happy hours doing just that. It would be my dream come true to go back to St. Lucia and stay in the Rodney Bay Villa again.

  • Just stayed in this glorious villa with my husband and daughter, aged 16. It was a blissful holiday and a completely relaxing and rejeuvenating time for all of us. The house is the perfect place to stay in Rodney Bay as it is situated between the Marina and, what must be the best beach on St. Lucia. We had early morning swim times on the deserted beach and again at sunset. In between there was a wonderful array of watersport on offer on the less than crowded beach with a great summer time atmosphere and the warm clear clean sea. In fact, I realise that thoughts of pollution never crossed my mind during the entire holiday which is a rare compliment these days. The villa can easily accommodate a large or small group and is can be open on one side to let the warm breezes drift in. It offers every comfort and convenience and a delightful balcony overlooking the marina from the main en suite bedroom. We fed the humming birds with sugar water and spent hours watching these amazing tiny tropical birds hover outside in the trees. The cafes and restaurants and bars, in easy reach of the villa, are a delight and offer an amazing variety of food and drinks. However, the villa was so wonderful to occupy that we were loathe to leave it for too long and often we shopped in the local market and cooked at home and then sat outside in the peace of the warm evenings overlooking the marina and the boats. We highly recommend this beautiful villa and the peace and security of living on this glorious coastline in St. Lucia with friendly neighbours and local hospitality.
