  We really enjoyed our stay on Tybee Island, and this nice home made it even better. We walked the entire island and felt that we picked the perfect location. The home is situated on a private road and is just steps from walk that leads to beach. Very quiet neighborhood, which was nice for our toddler during nap time. Speaking of toddler, the house is set up well for young ones, especially for toddlers that get into everything.....we lived comfortably here for a week. I feel the home looks better in person than in the photo's - sometimes photos don't seem to do justice. The living room/dining area is spacious with a nice high ceiling - a nice bright airy feeling. The owner is very gracious and helpful, providing us w/helpful items for baby and information for local activities. The home is very conveniently located - near restaurants, only a few blocks from pier and a stones throw from grocery store, which was really handy for us. Things we recommend: For sure - go visit the historic district of Savannah. Rent a kayak. Eat the Shrimp and Grits at A.J.'s (only if you love SPICY food), have lunch at Sundae Cafe. Talk walks on the island. If you do get to Savannah - try Lady & Sons - it is worth the experience and her food is yummy! Get BBQ at Wiley's Championship. Definitely try some fried green tomatoes while in Georgia!

  Mary's house is a great island getaway. Just steps from the beach, spacious, clean and quiet. There were seven adults in our group, and we each had our own bed. There are three nice sized and wonderfully decorated rooms with queen beds, a very small room with one bed and a sunroom that we used as a bedroom with two beds. There's also a sofa bed in the living room. There are two great screened in porches where we ate most of our meals. If you are looking for a place close to the beach, great value and a very nice owner - this is a perfect choice. We will be back!

  We had a blast at Tybee and really enjoyed the house! was well furnished and outfitted and the owner even left us cookies! WiFi worked great and the decks and porches were wonderful. We ended up checking in a day early as the house was available and the owner was very flexible and easy to work with. The walk to the beach was a quick and easy stroll on the boardwalk and we loved being so close so the kids could go back and forth easily. Would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for an easy. relaxed vacation. Listing is accurate Photos reflect the house well Property very clean and well maintained Owner extremely helpful

  If you are looking for a great vacation this is the one, we were impressed by how much it felt like home. We loved the layout of the home it worked well for everyone. In our family we have 2 teenagers that stayed in the cute room downstairs that was so beautifully decorated so everyone had enough "space" ! Mary was a great person to work with and she lives on the island and that says alot for her love of Tybee. Everything for the beach you would need she provided (ex. chairs, cooler, kids toys) I really cannot say enough about this home except we cannot wait to come back ! I hope you enjoy Tybee as much as we did !!

  My friends and I loved this beach house. It accommodated 4 couples and 2 toddlers and is so well laid out that we never felt cramped. It is so clean and comfortable. It was so nice to be just steps from the beach especially having small children in tow. I will definitely return to the Beach Retreat!

  Thank you Thank You Thank you. 6 of us traveled down during Pirate Fest and really we couldn't have picked a better location. The best part is that with two men, two women and two teens we all had space to chill together or alone as we wished. Beautifuly decorated and our hostess was awesome! Thanks again Mary!

  We enjoyed our stay on Tybee in this beautiful home. Very clean and close to the beach. Quiet neighborhood. You are minutes away from the Tybee Pier and restaurants.

  We stayed at this townhome for a week in June and it was just perfect for our family with two smaller kids and grand parents. There was even one room we never used. It is lovely decorated, very clean and all newly renovated. The location can't be any better, right next to the private walk way to the white sandy beach. The house is located on a private alley so no through traffic. The only grocery store on Tybee Island is just a block away. All beach gear is provided - including beach towels. We loved hanging out on one of the screened-in porches at night or walk to the restaurants close-by. Other homes are located "just two blocks from the beach" - don't be fooled, there is a main street in-between and it's not much fun walking with all the beach gear even for just 2 blocks. Mary, the owner is just wonderful and very responsive in getting my questions answered. We had a great time here and hopefully we'll be back!
