March through May is the spring neo-tropical migration where birds from Central and South America stop over for a rest on thier long journey. As many as 324 species have been seen on the island.
Its the perfect place for bird watching. Dauphin Island won Americas birdiest city award in the small coastal city category 2006!!! Guess what Dauphin Island won 2007 also !!!Our home is on the same street as the Shell Mound Park and Goat Tree Reserve. so walk from your home to bird watch .

This beautifully-decorated three bedroom, two bath home sleeps a maximum of six. It includes one king, one queen, and two twins.The open floor plan allows you to prepare your meals in the well equipped kitchen while watching the kids play air hockey or pool!! (The table flips for either pool or air hockey ).

We have a video library for those rainy days also books for the avid reader. my mom loves to sit on the deck and read.The golf course is close by with beautiful ocean views. One of our favorite things to do is go to Skinners and pick up some fresh shrimp for dinner. You cant beat the freshness !!!

Bring your bikes its a short ride to the beautiful white sandy beaches.If you have never experienced the beauty of the gulf coast . now is the time. You can load up the car for a 2 minute drive to the pier and beach. We are one block from Bienville Blvd.Not far from the Ship and Shore(the local grocery/hardware store), Grab the flashlight stay until dusk and go crabbing.

Kids love the excitement of crab catching!!Our son spent hours catching crabs in the back yard !! He actually caught 20 blue crabs which we boiled and ate!! Come enjoy the quiet island living and great family fun.We are on a quiet street with lots of singing birds...

You can now rent kayaks delivered to the house and launch right from the back yard !!!

All furnishings, appliances and linens are brand new!! No smoking or pets. ANY EVIDENCE OF PETS OR SMOKING THE DEPOSIT WILL BE FORFEITED AND IMMEDIATE EVICTION!! holidays by the week only includes memorial day ,july 4th, and fishing rodeo in july.   • This house is AMAZING! What a relaxing vacation. We felt right at home in this house. It had all the essentials that we needed for cooking, etc. The back deck was our favorite! We spent a lot of time there just relaxing and watching the boats go by. Our boys ages 3 years and 15 months loved the beach and the Estuarium that is nearby. We will definitely be back! If you are going to Dauphin Island I would highly reccomend this house for your stay. Oh yeah, and Maureen you did an outstanding job with the decor in the house!

    Both my husband and I were drawn to your site on the net for 2 reasons. The first was the beautiful view and the shade , which many houses on the west end cannot offer.And the second of course was the pooltable/air hockey.   • We had a great time staying at Bay Watch. We really enjoyed the East side of the island, the trees and the view were great! My husband and son went fishing everyday and my daughter was the only one to catch a blue crab. We enjoyed the air hockey and pool table. The house was great. It was very relaxing.

    Maureen your house is beautiful.It is so beautifully decorated and we just loved it.It was wonderful having all the linens there.The bedrooms were so much bigger than we expected and the bathrooms were really nice size also.Loved having the washer and dryer. We played pool but never turned on the air hockey table.Enjoyed so much just sitting outside on the deck reading by myself while my husband went fishing and to the beach. Thanks again taken out of comment book at our home

  • Our experience at Baywatch was wonderful! Our family enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere that your beach house provided. The game table was a huge hit for our kids 16 & 20 but we all got in on the fun. We enjoyed treats from the bakery and the fresh crab and shrimp from Skinners were delicious. We loved this part of the Island with trees and birds. We would recommend this get away to our friends and family! Thanks Maureen for opening your home!

  • We spent Thanksgiving at Baywatch and we couldn't have been happier with the home. It was close to town, but far enough away to enjoy the boat traffic from the great deck. The home was exactly as advertised on the website-beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the pool table and the satellite DVR. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again or to recommend it to my friends. We had a great time! Thanks, Maureen, for sharing your home with us.

  • Better Homes and Gardens, make way for Bay Watch! A wedding on the beach brought us to Bay Watch’s welcome embrace, where once we walked through her door, we fell in love! I should not have been surprised because when I spoke with the owner, Maureen, it became apparent that her home would be a reflection of her beautiful and vibrant personality! Marshall and I enjoyed our time visiting Shell Mound Park, Fort Gaines, Sunday service at Dauphin Island Methodist Church and the purpose of our trip, a precious wedding on the beach. Coffee on the back deck, the breeze restoring our spirits & the comfort of your home tied the ribbon on a great trip!   • August 6-9 Maureen, Your home on Dauphin Island is wonderful.Both you and the realty people were a pleasure to deal with. We had a great time and really enjoyed watching the boats (including a cruise ship)from the deck. The house is wonderfully decorated, clean and very comfortable. We went out on the Duke for a fishing trip, didn't catch anything but had fun. Wish we could have stayed longer. Carole
