Date of Stay: 03/16/12 Review Submitted: 04/30/12

I rented the entire villa. We loved this place. Six adults and plenty of space and privacy for down time if wanted. The furnishing was beautiful. The villa was immaculate and the kitchen well appointed. We loved the patio spaces. Having a grill to BBQ was another nice touch. The grounds were great, the pool fabulous.Lisa was a pleasure to deal with. We will rent this villa the next time we go back to St.Thomas.THis place is just awesome-stay here you wont regret it.

Owner response:Michele - we are so happy that your stay was enjoyable! It is so nice to have a large space for a big group to spread out in. After a day in the sun the patio is great place to hang. We look forward to your next visit! Warmly, Chris and Lisa

We stayed at Pinapple Village for three nights and had a fantastic time. The condo is just as described on your website. We were a party of eleven that included five children and the sleeping arrangements worked out great. The three private bedrooms for the six adults were perfect. The room my husband and I stayed in had a really great glassed in shower and we also had a litte kitchenette. The beds were incredibly comfortable and I slept like a baby. The adults favorites were the pass through from the kitchen into the private courtyard and the retractable awning. We spent most of our time outside whether it be coffee and a good book in the morning or dinner and games at night. Our kids on the other hand had a different favorite....the pool. They had the time of their lives swimming and playing water sports. They even complained when we went on to St John to our own private pool that they wished they could go back to the one at Pinapple Village. Yes, there is an abandoned hotel next door but you could not see it from the condo and it in no way affected our enjoyment. I chose your place because of it's affordability, size and location. Being right next to Coki beach was the best!!! I have been to St Thomas before and loved the quiet side of the island. The condo"s convenient location to the best beaches on St Thomas and a short drive to Red Hook were the selling points for me. Lisa, I want to thank you for the whole experience from start to finish. You were very informative, upfront and helpful from the booking procedure to the "hope you had a great time" e-mail after our departure. If and when I come back to St Thomas I will definately be staying here again. Thank you!

Owner response:Robyn - Thank you for your kind words! As you noted, our villa is ideal for large, multi-generational groups, as it provides something for everyone and enough living space to spread out! I am so pleased that you all had a wonderful time and we hope your travels bring you back to visit us again! Warmly, Lisa

I was extremely satisfied with my stay in the villa and anxiously look forward to returning in the future. It was nicely furnished, everything you'd need for a week or more stay. The property manager Veronica was very nice, informative and checked in to make sure I had everything I may need each day. I did have one day of rain during my trip so the large flat screen television and DVD collection were much appreciated amenities.

Most Amazing Accomodations Ever!

Guest: vicki (Syracuse, Ny)
Date of Stay: 10/08/11 Review Submitted: 10/16/11

I am an airline employee who has I traveled extensively. This is paradise. Ive stayed at here 4 times in the past year! The owner, Lisa, is accomodating and very personable. Best rental dealings Iv ever experienced. Inside is awesome. Amazing TV and audio system, new linens, comfy beds and modern furniture and appliances. Outside offers a perfect patio area. Hummingbirds, lizards, flowering plants. Great grilling and hang out area with retractable awning to get a break from the sun. The villa is adjacent to a closed Hyatt hotel, but empty buildings do not detract from the beauty of the grounds, the villa or the beach area of Coki beach. A short stroll takes you to Piccassos Coffeebar. Operated by a mainlander, offering simple breakfast/lunch and some slot machines. Its a nice place for "after beach" $2 beer and play at the slot machines. Around the corner a short walk is a neighborhood Suprette offering basic staples. We walk and buy all our groceries and alcohol products here. The area is not rich but its safe if you're not a stupid naive tourist. Like any island, the economy is bad. Locals live simply, no perfect housing, but the mood is friendly and upbeat always. No materialistic people here. The villa is 3 miles/$5 taxi from RedHook stores, restaurants and bars - if you must! A small bay behind the villa has a sandy beach with natural seaweed and offers a relaxing morning view of the islands near Smith Bay. A short walk takes you to Coki Beach. Most popular for cruise shippers and tourists but not overly crowded ever. Snorkeling is amazing and gear and chairs are offered for cheap. Food and beverages from 2 open air restaurants in operation for many generations offer the best beach food Iv ever had. Waitresses come to you. There is some marjuana smoking, as with any island beach, but it is not noticeable. Safe beach for singles asnd families with small children. Coki is best Iv ever been to! This villa is amazing. At a great price - great location - great experience. Most relaxing vacation I ever take. Its a place to feel at home, grill your own bbq and swim at the large quite pool or visit the best beach in St Thomas. Do not listen to the negative reviews. Experience paradise and local life. See for yourself like I did. You will regret not staying here or experienceing Coki Beach. A clean beautiful villa, a true Island local experience you will never forget! Perfect location for real people with a budget to get a millionaires vacation!

Owner response:Vicki - thank you so much for your kind words! Enjoying the island and feeling the warmth of its people and its beaches is a wonderful way to recharge one's batteries. We are so thrilled that you have chosen to stay with us multiple times and look forward to you visiting us again soon!

The perfect holiday

Guest: Barry (San Francisco)
Date of Stay: 09/08/11 Review Submitted: 09/14/11

My girlfriend and I enjoyed a magical week at the villa. The house is gorgeous, it is incredibly clean and supremely well appointed. Each room has its on separate theme and everything you could think of is taken care of. Lisa the owner was on hand 24/7, she answered all of our questions and made sure all was going well while we were there. Could not ask for more. Red Hook is a stones throw away and is great fun for a night out. We had a lot of fun at Duffy's Bar. Megan's Bay is a 10 minute drive away. It is literally a paradise. It was low season so we practically had the beach to ourselves... you could not find a better place to relax and forget about all your worries. We also took the car ferry to St. John.... Having lived in Europe and Australia and dived in both, the snorkeling and diving in St. John is beyond world class. I would not hesitate to recommend the villa to anyone.

Owner response:We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay at our villa. We are always eager to ensure that all needs are met and that you have a blissful holiday! We hope to see you again in the future!

Relaxing vacation retreat!

Guest: Erin (Lakewood)
Date of Stay: 06/21/11 Review Submitted: 10/18/11

My husband and I stayed here for a week to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. We had a great time and loved that it was so close to Red Hook. From Red Hook you could take the ferry over to St. John, which made this rental's location perfect for us! This villa has a kitchen, which was convenient for us to make breakfast in the morning and pack lunches for our daily excursions....saving time and money. The courtyard was a great little retreat area complete with BBQ and lounge chairs perfect for relaxing at the end of the day with a glass of rum punch! The air conditioner kept the room itself cold...a nice escape from the heat and humidity. Our room also had a nice entertainment setup with DVD player. We rented DVDs in Red Hook and were able to watch them when things slowed down in the evenings on the island. The owner, Lisa, was fantastic with helping us arrange our stay at the villa as well as making excellent recommendations for places to try while we were on the island! One place to note was "Udder Delights", they make frozen ice cream shakes with different types of liquors. We stopped there a few times on our way to Megan's Bay to sit on the beach and watch the sunset...shake in hand! Overall, we had an unbelievably good time and would stay at this villa again!

Owner response:We are thrilled that you chose Virgin Paradise Villas for your one-year anniversary celebration! We look forward to having you visit again soon!

I LOVE THIS PLACE

Guest: vicki (Syracuse, Ny)
Date of Stay: 04/08/11 Review Submitted: 10/16/11

I am a returning renter and I would not stay anywhere else. Lisa, the owner, is amazingly friendly and accomodating. Feels like a friend not a business acquaintance. The villa is beautiful with an amazing TV and Audio system, new linens, comfortable beds and modern appliances and furniture. Everything you need to feel at home is here. The patio offers a nice area for bbq and conversation amongst hummingbirds and tropical plants. The villa grounds are maintained and the pool is large, quiet and often feels like its all yours. Coki beach is perfect. The local coffee bar and neighborhood grocery is convenient and fairly priced. After many vacations in various types of places to stay I can tell you that this is the perfect vacation place. Ive heard the negative reviews and the talk of dangerous locations and beaches with drugs etc., if I'd listened to any of it, I would never have found this perfect vacation rental or location. I have no regrets, complaints or apprehentions. I felt comfortale and safe and will return again and again and would highly recommend this rental.

Owner response:Kelly - thank you so much! It is wonderful that you took advantage of all that the villa and its location have to offer. We look forward to having you visit us again soon!

A little piece of Heaven

Guest: JTucker (San Francisco)
Date of Stay: 02/21/11 Review Submitted: 03/15/11

In the last few years my partner and I have made an effort to take a vacation together once a year to somewhere we both really wanted to go. This year we decided a tropical vacation to St. Thomas would be perfect, and boy were we right! I am not sure what some of these other reviews are talking about. Our experience at this Villa was the best experience we've had. We found this villa from a friend of ours and decided look it up on this site. The pictures on this website simply do not do this place justice. In fact I'm not sure any picture can accurately show just how wonderful this villa truly is. The place it self is very roomy, VERY clean. And amazingly comfortable. One of our favorite places and probably one the most memorable things about our vacation would be sitting out in the warm air on the private patio with a candle lit, a cold cocktail and just listening to the ocean in the distance. It was so relaxing. Our typical day consisted of waking up in a large King sized bed, in a beautiful tropical themed room with a giant sliding glass door, a TV with a "what to do in the VI" channel and private fully renovated bathroom! It was the first time in a long time that we had woken up to the sun shining through the windows and not an alarm clock. The owner is an absolute sweetheart and a pleasure to work with. Lisa answered every question we had about the villa AND about the island. She not only knows her place like the back of her hand she also knows her neighbors and can give some Great recommendations on restaurants, beaches, and general fun things not to miss while you are there. She recommended Fungys and Molly Malones. Two fantastic places that we never would have found on our own! There is daily maid service which is great for the small daily things you wouldn't want to do on your vacation. Veronica is very polite and very nice. There is a beach just 5 min away and an incredible place to watch the sunset. Other beaches and down town is a quick cab ride. My partner and I are planning on going back to St. Thomas hopefully this year and let me tell you. We wont stay anywhere else. We had one of the best vacations yet and I can give a lot of that credit to the time we spent at this home.

St. Thomas Paradise

Date of Stay: 01/15/11 Review Submitted: 01/23/11

Our group of 6 stayed at this property from Jan. 15 - 22, 2011, and I was pleased with the beautiful courtyard with lush tropical plants everywhere. Each unit had a kitchen unit and was well stocked for every need. After going to the beach, we enjoyed cocktails on the patio and watched for the hummingbird to appear. The owners have to be the nicest people we have ever rented from, they were very accommodating in all areas. It is only a short drive into Red Hook for all the dining and shopping you need. Be sure to schedule a sail with Captain Max for an enjoyable day of sailing and snorkeling. For the price, this unit has to be the best deal on St. Thomas.

Buyer Beware

Guest: New Mexico Girl (Southwest)
Date of Stay: 12/24/10 Review Submitted: 01/16/11

This unit in Pineapple Village was fair. We rented the entire unit 3 bedrooms 4 bathrooms. The Pineapple Village complex is a dump. It was not well maintained. The complex has a pool area and according to this owner it was maintained. However, it was not. The pool was dirty and there was animal feces along the wet deck. We did not spend anytime at the pool at all. The owner warned us that the beach was not maintained. That was an understatement. It smelled like the landfill and in some areas looked like it. She said there would be seaweed and boy was there!!!! We did not spend anytime here either. We rented a car so we were able to go to other beaches. Coki Beach is close by but according to other visitors it was not worth going to so we did not. I would not recommend this property to anyone. You know the old adage: Buyer beware.

Owner response:I'm sorry this guest did not have a good time...she never mentioned any of these comments or indicated that she was having anything but a good time when we called her to see if the villa met her expectations. She never mentioned anything to Veronica (our housekeeper) either. To some, the glass is always half-empty. It is unfortunate that she let someone else decide for her not to go to Coki Beach...it is one of my most favorite and relaxing spots in the Northern Hemisphere. I bought a home in St. Thomas because it is therapeutic for my body and soul...when it's time to come home, I just want to run away. The tree frogs, the greenery, the iguanas, the palms in the late evening breeze, the water temperature and sand, the friendliness of the people...I could go on and on. When I board the plane to come home...my first thought is, "How soon can I get back?" I miss the iguana that sleeps in the big tree, the grandfather lobster in the rocks at Coki, the cute little gecko lizards jumping from plant-to-plant in the garden during morning coffee and who greet me on the front gate, the pelicans diving for sushi at the beach over evening cocktails. And the spectacular humming birds... I wish this person the best life has to offer... Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. (Mark Twain)

I can only echo the wonderful reviews this place has already had. Amazing, magical, beautiful, fun, relaxing, pampered, gorgeous, welcoming, interesting, first-class, excellence. My family and I look forward to snorkeling the tropical and luke-warm ocean water again, The local's special concoctions that help you hang on, site-seeing around the historical towns, hiking around the lush vegetation and beaches, dining with excellent food, 360 degree ocean views that are unbelieveable, iguanas galore meeting other guests who become your friends, bicycling/skateboarding to the beach, playing chess, reading and chillaxing in a hammock, being together as a family. Thank you to each and every person at Virgin Paradise Villas who made us feel special and cared for! The only bad part was having to leave. The maintenance crew worked hard to make things seamless for us guests....and we so look forward to returning......soon and often would be ideal!

Lovely property!

Guest: Kelcie (Reno, NV)
Date of Stay: 06/05/10 Review Submitted: 10/21/11

I stayed at this property with a large group of friends in June of 2010 for 10 days and it was everything we needed. We rented the entire property, and it comfortably fit all 8 of us. The kitchen comes with all the appliances we needed to be able to cook all of our meals, as we wanted to save money by limiting the amount we went out for food. The patio is gorgeous and was a great place to eat, relax, and enjoy the beauty of the island. It was within a short walking distance (about 10 minutes) to the popular beach, Coki Point, and the famous West Indian eatery Fungi's The house was very clean and kept up. Overall, it was a stay to remember for a lifetime, and would recommend this property to anyone planning on renting a house/condo in St. Thomas. It's especially perfect for large groups of people, or people planning on staying for a week or longer.

I stayed here in March with 5 of my friends. We had the best time. This unit is paradise. Every day we would come home and hang out on the beautiful Patio and have cocktails before we went out. The owner is so very nice and helpful. I can't wait to go back! You are within walking distance to Coki Beach which is by far the best beach I have ever been to. Every one of our evenings was spend dining in Red Hook... which has some really great places to eat. CANT WAIT TO GO BACK!

Everything I dreamed of and more!

Guest: Sentury Snowboards (Reno)
Date of Stay: 01/07/10 Review Submitted: 04/19/10

I've been to the Virgin Islands before and every time I go I am always on a fairly tight budget. This unit was everything I could have dreamed of and more! Everything was in immaculate condition and remarkably clean. I was greeted by the house keeper Veronica and given the key the second I showed up at the Villa. The photos simply don't do this place justice. Whether you are renting the entire or a single unit, you will be pleased with your accommodations. I dropped my bags and immediately begin exploring. I left the unit and walked immediately to the beach (which is a short walk and clearly in sight) and was greeted by the warm island breeze and ambient reggae coming from Fungi's on the beach! Let this be said now, your trip to St Thomas is NOT complete until you have a shot of the "Roots", a side of Conch Fritters, and a blended drink from Fungi's. This place embodies the ambience of the Caribbean with all reggae, all the time. Sitting at Fungi's with a clear view of St John, the warm trade winds blowing in my face, and a healthy buzz, I felt home. After finishing a drink at Fungi’s, visiting Coki Beach is a must. Coki Beach has a personality unlike any other beach in the Caribbean. Located on the same road that leads to Coral World, Coki beach has some of the islands best snorkeling and easily accessible amenities. Several beach hut vendors set up every day with a wide variety of blended rum drinks, organic fruit smoothies, and fresh made food. When it comes to things to do, Coki Beach has everything. Coral World is always a fun way to spend an afternoon especially if you have young children. Coral World has an observation bubble into Coki Point, a petting aquarium, and even offers snuba diving (different than scuba!). On the beach itself indulge in an afternoon dive, a massage by Nefertiti, or rent a lounge chair and just relax. Do not be fooled into booking a room at a resort and limiting your exposure to St Thomas. I have booked this villa before and I am returning again in May because I truly love this location and unit. I encourage you to email me if you have any questions about my experience!

I LOVED this villa!

Guest: Kristin (Owasso, OK)
Date of Stay: 06/01/08 Review Submitted: 03/09/11

My husband and I stayed here for a week and it was amazing. The villa is beautiful and very well kept. My favorite part was the enclosed garden patio! Very private and so relaxing after a long day of snorkeling or sight seeing. I love that you can walk to the beach. It was beautiful. I was shocked to read the above negative review, our experience was not like that at all. And I would say that I have pretty high standards. I absolutely love the island and cannot wait to return someday and take our 3 boys. We will stay here again. It would be perfect for a family with children.
