This is a totally remodeled cottage. It is very unique and has all new furniture, and is first-class in amenities and furnishings. It has plasma TVs, surround sound, kitchen set up for a gourmet cook, wustoff knives, reidel wine glasses, all-clad stainless. Culligan water purifier, lovely dishes and silverware for serving those gouremt meals inside or out!!! The dining chairs are comfortable palachek. The house is filled with flowers on your arrival and always a cheese and fruit plate. Starbucks Italian roast coffee, and choclates too!! Staples and spices for a gourmet cook. Baths have Nexus shampoo products and Neutrogena soaps.
Everything someone who is used to first class will need in order to enjoy home away from home. The furniture is all new Pottery Barn Restoration Hardware with a clean contempo look with down sofa's and chairs.
The yard is absolutely beautiful, with Italian tile(same tile that is in the interior of the house) patio off the french doors from living area. There is a firepit on the patio area with a gas starter and firewood for a lovely evening outside to sip a glass of wine and enjoy the stars. Filled with flowers and large live valley oak trees,lemon tree, fig tree, plum tree and flagstone walkways. To add to the evenings outdoors there are white mini lights that surround the backyard fence and garden areas. The yard also has landscape lights along the pathways and in the gardens front and back. Gas vermont castings barbecue and
adirondack chairs and patio table with umbrella for dining. The beds are plush pillowtops covered with down comforters, with crisp white duvets and down pillows with luxurious linens. All the linens are sent to the laundry for that silky feeling. Linens are all high count cotton. Both baths have soaking tubs and sunflower fixtures with hand held attachments also. House is tiled wih Italian tiles with bright and beautiful oriental rugs on the floors.
The cottage is located about one and-one-fourth mile from the square in Sonoma. It is a truly wonderful property that I enjoy myself as my second home; it is not just a vacation rental. We are located near the Sonoma Creek and there are walking trails that go all along the creek and over the bridge into town. It is in a quiet residential neighborhood with mostly owner occupied homes. The street near the creek is filled with big old live oak trees. The creek is three houses down on Riverside Dr. off of Hwy 12. Very quaint older Sonoma area. Near Whole Foods and Sonoma Market for fresh fish organic meats and veggies. Why the Owner Chose Sonoma
We loved vacationing in the wine country and were tired of not having our own patio and comfy beds and didn't like being in sterile hotel rooms we wanted our own little cottage to have longer visits and be able to barbecue with a private and serene setting. We loved the restaurants and wineries and the Farmers Market the whole area is just heaven. We live in Lake Tahoe so needed an escape from the cold snowy winters!! Now we love the spring, summer and fall in the winecountry the vineyards are so pretty yearround
The Unique Benefits of this House
We enjoy the quiet neigbhorhood the accessablilty of the Sonoma Markets either Whole Foods, or Sonoma Market or Safeway all are within half a mile from the house. We love the walks we can take from our front doorstep. we love the backyard its filled with flowers yearround as my hobby is gardening. We love the big old valley oak trees in our yard. The house is our home away from home and our is our pride and joy and it shows. We love being there the house has a happy good feeling.
